It's also one of the reasons that the Hunter crashed at Shoreham last year. In the last few seconds he was descending at such an angle that when he tried to pull out the wing blanked the tailplane, had he left it flat it still would have crashed but onto the football pitch further along the line of flight. As it was the aircraft struck tail first and the result was there for all to see. The problem is not the rear engine mounting but the high mounted tail unit. At certain AoA the main wing blocks the airflow over the tailplane making it ineffective. Modern aircraft have far better stall warni -

Among other things, these past few weeks has seen me turn to something just for the hell of it. As most of you know, the majority of my models are pretty serious stuff. So just for a change I decided to go quirky. May I present the Megg-15, Egg-16 and Egg-18! These are all produced by Hasegawa and although now out of production are still available. Enjoy;..... The T34 needed some attention, she was occasionally chucking out smoke and behaving erratically. The engineers at Enstone assure me that they could sort her out therefore I took her up from Goodwood earlier this evening, I ran in real time and real world weather (wet and drizzly),taking just under an hour. ( I kept the revs down most of the way so that the engine was not over stressed). Eventually arriving in Oxfordshire on a damp drizzly evening. Thanks for viewing

SS Xtremes is far better than the earlier versions, still has a few bits that are somewhat awkward to use, but for the most part it's pretty good. The only downside for me is that the operating environments in all the ship sims are somewhat contained and you cannot go into other ports etc unless they are on the list of named destinations. This means that you cannot go free roaming in it's truest sense inasmuch that the environment area has an edge that your vessel will not cross. Obviously if the developers were to load every port known to us shellbacks, then the sim would require a mega-compu
