A worrying development, but many of the little regional airports are far too easy to gain access to. Bournemouth being a case in point, the road around the back of the airport often has the one security box unmanned and it is very easy to get airside on that airport. I have done so on several occasions when plane spotting. When the original museum was in use, there was only a two bar wooden fence between the picnic area and a live taxiway! I hate to say it but I think the next air related terror attack will indeed be from a regional airfield.
