  1. He's lucky, it was rather a foolish prank tbh. After all look what happened to Mathias Rust https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias_Rust
  2. Tal Y Llyn Lake seen from Cad West Car Park. You can see this view in the videos. At the far end of the lake you can see the pub, these two were taken from that pub car park, looking towards Cad West. All in all we had a great holiday in North Wales last week.
  3. We were down there last week, spent 2 hours at in the Cad West Car Park, saw nothing, as soon as we pulled out a Tornado came barrelling down the valley! Sods Law at it's best!
  4. Great job, we see a lot of these at Goodwood as they have a service centre down here.
  5. Good captures, The Bonanza is an all time classic GA.
  6. As has been said, it's an interesting idea, but not yet a viable commercial package. The wispy undercarriage would need to be replaced with wheels otherwise you'd never be able to shift it once landed! Also batteries need recharging so that takes time as well. bit of a sod if you're on the way to somewhere urgent and you run out of charge halfway along! Green energy isn't as green as many people think. To charge up electric vehicles, aircraft, etc you need to connect them to a charging point. These are usually powered from the national grid, which, in many countries is still powered by massiv
  7. I'd wondered about that as well, I get it whenever I go near Moscow or Innsbruck usually.
  8. Every Dominoes Pizza now comes with a free drone!
  9. The way I see it. One flies over my place, triple A will ensure its my dinner for the evening! ?
  10. The captain just announced that his pet tarantula has got loose in the cabin!
  11. Air India Regional passengers still think they can sit outside to travel !
  12. Easyjet are proud to announce their new budget service.
  13. Two Thai girls asked me if I wanted to sleep with them. They said it would be like winning the Lottery. To my horror they were right, we had six matching balls. I didn't dare ask for a lucky dip!
  14. My dad was almost killed by a V1 as well, he had been in a cinema near his home in Leytonstone. Apparently he came out, walked round the corner when there was an almighty bang. He turned round to see the cinema explode as a V1 landed right on top of it! They were pretty lethal weapons but heralded the way forward in modern warfare.
  15. Bell P59 Airacomet under test in New Mexico
  16. The Fieseler Fi103 V1 and the Republic/Ford JB2 Loon. The V1 earned a fearsome reputation when more than 10,000 of them were fired at Britain with devastating effect. They may have been crude, but by and large they worked! They were known to the Brits either Buzz-Bombs or Doodlebugs. They had a peculiar rasping engine noise and Londoners soon worked out that if one was overhead and that noise stopped, you RAN because it was on it's way down! The RAF managed to shoot down large numbers of them, but later evolved a method of tipping their gyros by getting a wingtip of the fighter under the wing
  17. Try a larger Helo first, ie the Sea King etc. they seem to be more docile than the skittish baby ones.
