I've been re-visiting some of the FSX Rotor-craft Missions using the new Dodo-Sim Bell 206 Jetranger, and thought I'd post some screen shots with comments..... First, the Tokyo Executive Transport (FSX Acceleration?) - this starts on the ground and you have to pick 3 passengers up from a heli-pad on top of a 600 foot tall sky-scraper. Not too easy, this - it took several attempts to land 'gently'!! Here's the result: The Mission then takes you to another airport, where things get quite a lot more exciting - I'll let you find out what happens for yourselves..... Secondly, here are a couple

Now then - are you using Windows 7? You just might have a problem with the panel.cfg file if it has been designed for a previous O.S. If you've time, give us a bit more info on your set up...... Cheers - Dai.

Product Review New Review - Just Flight A320 Jetliner

Nice Review, Rob - thanks for sharing! Cheers - Dai. -
Sounds like you should 'un-install' and then re-install the down-load. Did you use the PMDG auto install - and were you sure the files were loaded where your FSX is located? The absence of guages implies that the panel file can't find them. This might explain the lack of animations, too. Maybe the other 'gurus' have some suggestions....... BTW, Welcome to the Hangar! Cheers - Dai.

Last post I can find on that page is about the FCS Lanc!! Cheers - Dai.

Is anyone doing a review of the FS-Addon's Lysander, Joe? Cheers - Dai.

Great post, Phil - thanks for taking the trouble to put your Tour photo's up - much appreciated, mate! And climbing the Tourmalet - that's something - you must come from a real cycling family to do all that! And thanks for the commentary - are you sure your surname's not Liggett?!? Cheers - Dai.

Finished July: Buzzin' In the Bushes
ddavid replied to mutley's topic in Screenshot Contests Archive
A couple of late entries from me - I've been 'buzzin' around the Kwazulu Rhino Mission in the Dodo-Sim 206 - plenty of 'bushes' too! First off, the pilot's view: Here's the Dodo-Sim in camauflage: And, finally, a rather nice sunset: If you haven't tried this Mission - I think it's in the Acceleration Pack - then you're missing a treat! :bday: Good Luck, everyone! Cheers - Dai. -
Bloomin' Oober, Jock - Tha needs sum more mooshy peas with tha fish, Lad! Thanks for remembering, Joe - and thanks everyone - another year, another dollar..... :bday: Cheers - Dai.

And a good proportion of these 400 are contributing - great stuff, mate! Cheers - Dai.

Great selection of photo's - you are a lucky b*gg*r for living so close and I'm really miffed that my cousin's daughter wasn't 21 again this year - something to do with the math? BTW, what was the rest of the show like? We're Si and Mark there? What was in the goody bag? When.... Shuddit - Ed! Cheers - Dai.

Loved the introduction - set the scene for the Leg - and that Ferrari was a beaut! Great choice of AC - and don't those wings flex, eh? And then that marvellous Eurocopter - magic. All in all, an excellent contribution - thanks for sharing! Only one thing - how do you steer with that helicopter?!? Cheers - Dai.

Actually, John, she said He would - wouldn't he and, in fact, she was welsh - born in Carmarthenshire, near our first farm (although she moved to Solihull before we got there!) As to burning hydrogen, there are a couple of minor difficulties: 1. It is possibly the most flammable substance that we know, and 2. You'd use up one heck of a lot of carbon equivalent in extracting it from water - even if you used nuclear powered electricity. I'd love it to be possible, but I'll carry on hugging trees! Cheers - Dai.

A great ATWC Leg, Kieran - very enjoyable. Nice choice of aircraft - as usual! - and a well chosen set of screen shots with narrative to match. Thanks for sharing. Only one question..... Was Joe really with you - he's not usually that quiet! Cheers - Dai.
-
Ouch! Now I know.... Cheers - Dai.

Welcome, Wingit - you don't have to be mad to enjoy The Hangar, but it helps! Kieran's advice is right on the nail - the Saitek AVI8R is probably the best joystick available at the price (approx 25 GBP + postage) - I use one and I can recommend it. As John says, when you move on to the 'heavies', you'll probably want a yoke and rudder-pedal set-up. And then there's helicopters..... Don't forget to put up some screen-shots.... Cheers - Dai.

Go on, Kieran, explain! Remember, I'm not a tube-liner man.... Nice set of shots, Aidan - thanks for stepping in to the void. Cheers - Dai.
