Before kicking off on this ATWC III Leg to Mandalay, I'd just like to thank those stalwart Hangarians who made it possible for me to be a free man, once again: Kieran - hope your bruises aren't so blue now, after bailing out at Yongphulla! Brian - love the banner - indeed, I was innocent! Richard - mmmmm, the hum of those 2 Merlins - nice! Remington - please say Vielen Dank to Frau Merkel! Joe - spectacular landing there, mate - glad you made it! Great team work, as always, from the Hangar. Anyway, the friendly Nepalese finally let me go after insisting I take tea with them for a fina

Nice set of shots, Kieran - you clearly enjoyed that flight, and so did I! Not sure about all the flooding in east London, mind! Looks like the O2 Dome is floating off down-stream (Good riddance - Ed) - I used to live within spitting distance of the old gasworks, you know (sounds of gentle snoring....). Cheers - Dai.

I'll post the first part tonight (Tuesday) and complete the Leg to Mandalay (soft humming, off - no, not the smell of Yak milk!) by Friday, then, if that suits you and Rob? Re-played the vid - how many landing attempts did you have to make?!? I'm still smarting from the pancake I made with the Caravan when I arrived here before being 'taken into care' by the Nepalese (My, don't they have cold hands?!? brrrrr...). Cheers - Dai. :bday: -

Nice work, Guys - and a big Thank You to The Boss! My captors - well, distant relatives, almost, now! - are very pleased that you've finished the Himalaya Challenge and, as you noticed in Joe's video, have released me - Sch-yeah! Now for some decent grub - mind you, I was starting to get used to the Yak's milk ice cream - NOT!..... :bday: Right now, I'm negotiating my flight from Lukla - some local carrier with a maniac for a pilot (No change there, then! - Ed) and will post the next Leg, hopefully, before Tuesday p.m. Hope that's O.K.? And Thanks Again! Cheers - Dai. -
Thanks for the HU, Joe - guess you're back from the Aleutian Islands (hope you've got a tan!). I purchased InstantScenery (1) about 3 years ago and have found it one of the most useful apps for FSX - especially when you're creating 'interesting' screenshots for ATWC etc. In fact, I'm downloading the latest version now and hoping to get the 50% discount. I'll let you know how I get on with it..... Cheers - Dai.

Thanks for the positive comments, Kieran - the shot is actually from the Bomb Aimer's position in the Aeroplane Heaven (Just Flight) Lancaster for FS2004 which, apart from a minor problem with prop blur, ports really well into FSX. I'm currently nearing the end of a mission based on Operation Catechism, where 9 and 617 Squadrons attacked the Tirpitz in Tromso Fjord. When it's tested, I'll post some more shots and a download link for anyone interested. BTW, George, the FCS Lancaster's internal model doesn't extend to the Bomb Aimer's position. This, and some other details, was why I was a litt

Happy Birthday to The Undisputed Boss of our truly magic Forum!! Hangarians, let's have Three Cheers.... HIP HIP - Hooray!! HIP HIP - Hooray!! HIP HIP - Hooray!! Thanks for all your efforts, mate. Cheers - Dai.

I've had this knocking around for a while: It's an update to the default B737-800 2-D panel..... And, as I've been spending a lot of time developing Missions in this office: I thought I'd share it with you.... Cheers - Dai.

Doncha love the Mossie, Richard - flown by the best, too! Great set of shots and a really good narrative - thanks for sharing! And getting me out of this place.... Cheers - Dai. -
You know, I liked the default C208 so much, I bought the payware version - only 7.99, I think - from Feel-There (Just Flight). It is better, both inside and out, and it has the Garmin 1000 glass cockpit fitted, too. Been too busy with Mission development to use it much recently, but it's great for 'sight seeing'.... Cheers - Dai.

Hi John Another very good tutorial on how to begin with Air Hauler - I'm sure this will be very useful for many starting out on their AH 'career'. I certainly enjoyed clawing my way up from the bottom in the C152 - it was such a relief to get into something with a bit more punch. Mind you, having spent a lot of time at the controls of the default C208, I think you'd find it difficult to get a better sim AC of that type ..... Long Live the Caravan!! Cheers - Dai.

Just heard that Llandegley International, just down the road a ways from me, has had a reprieve from possible closure due to impending government budget measures. As you can see from this: Llandegley International is alive and well - and plans are currently being submitted, to Powys County Council, for the new Terminal 2 building. Watch this space...... Cheers - Dai.

Now I know where I went wrong..... Thanks, John - a nice intro. Cheers - Dai.

Excellent news - my hearty congratulations! And I do hope you enjoy the experience of getting to grips with all those new jobs, getting up at night, changing nappies, etc.... Cheers- Dai. Edited by Mut, you can say "nappies2 Dai it's not a profanity is it?

Well done, Kieran - thanks for getting the Baton to VQ10 - an extreme finish if ever there was one, eh?!? That's a nice model, too - a good choice. Pity about FSX playing up, but your tenacity showed through.... Cheers - Dai. -
How time passes! Have a great day, mate! Cheers - Dai.
-
Thanks, Guys! Your assistance is appreciated - much as I enjoy contemplating my navel as I listen to the monks' prayer chants, it'll be good to get back to the real virtual world..... See y'all soon..... Cheers - Dai.
-
Am I Bovvered? Nah - they gave me a Lap-Top with Wi-Fi, so I can keep in touch... It's got FSX and the Mission Editor installed, so I can carry on with Catechism .... Left a bit ..... Steady ..... Bomb Gone!! Cheers - Dai.

We have a Winner!! Well done, mate - excellent detecting - I'm really pleased you 'joined up the dots'! So, it's over to you..... Cheers - Dai.

I guess they're non-PC Missions?!? BTW, which Missions, may I ask? Cheers - Dai.
-
Well, if you have, you'll be able to do your own, real ATWC..... Details here What are you waiting for?!? Cheers - Dai.

When did you run a complete scan last - maybe your firewall is slowing things down a bit, as well. We've been with BT for a number of years, with a business land-line etc, and this happened to us last year. I followed it up with BT and, with their help, managed to get back up to speed - but it wasn't straightforward! Good luck.... Cheers - Dai.

Right - I was forgetting that - excuse me! Cheers - Dai. -
I'm sorry, that should, of course, be Wordsworth.... And, a bonus clue - you used to find sticklebacks here.... Cheers - Dai.
