I'll try and get a snap of him rescuing a damsel in distress from our cliff-top, if I can. Mind you, for a Royal, he seems a decent type...... :mrhappy: Cheers - Dai.

The sun came out over Pembrokeshire today, and everything is drying out nicely after nearly 2 months of damp weather. And, as if to celebrate, my friend The Sun decided to show off: That's a Sun Dog, on the left. It's caused (correct me Martin!) by ice-drystal diffraction in the stratosphere. You can see the cloud which causes the image better here: O.K. - end of lecture - but it was pretty amazing. Cheers - Dai. :mrhappy:

Pentagon Delays $35B Air Force Tanker Competition Until 2009

Not a lot to choose between 'em, apart from age...... Personally, I feel that 4 engines are more than twice as good as 2 in this application. Have you seen those KC135's 'clawing' their way into the sky, fully laden with fuel? So, how about turning back with only 1 of 2 engines operational? Maybe I'm just too sensitive (Yeah, Shuddup, Dai! - Ed) Cheers - Dai. :mrhappy: -
I guess they must need it - they're miles from anywhere!! Cheers - Dai.

You've got me completely on this one, Phil - I've been everywhere in GE and - nix!! Cheers - Dai.

Brilliant vid, Boss - and JF's offering looks just the 'bizz'! :dance2: But I've got to send you some decent music (i.e. Aerosmith/Lynyrd Skynyrd/etc) for the sound-track...... Thanks for sharing - Pam and I lurve the bird-song at the end!!! Cheers - Dai. -

Who's a lucky boy then, eh?!? At first I thought it was another of your 'come ons', but no, another scoop for you - ace reporter! Thanks for sharing. Cheers - Dai. P.S. I'm with you on Miss Dizzie, Rosario.....

Here's a couple of interesting ones - from the book "The History of Aviation", published by Sandcastle Books (No comment - Ed). The first is a suicide bomber: And the second, the first jet bomber: Hope that helps! Be nice to see some screenies, Kieran?!? Oh, yes, and here's an interesting site: http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG/index.html Cheers - Dai.

Nice scenery, Rosario - can you see Boney's house? Cheers - Dai.

Sorry to be just a little cynical, but how many angels can stand on the tip of a needle....? Cheers - Dai.

Eh - Rosario! Bellissima! Your website is really excellent - thanks for letting us know 'where you come from'. Cheers - Dai.

Thanks for that, Kieran - made me laugh a lot (despite the bl**dy weather). Loved the Trike and the shots - with the empty seat, I had visions of the pilot, camera in hand, hanging on to the rigging to get a decent 'snap' - well done. :mrhappy: Looking forward to your next trip to East Midlands (?) - wonder what beast you'll choose....?!? Cheers - Dai.
-
You certainly got your teeth into that flight, Cyprus - good shots and a neat commentary - thanks for sharing. Cheers - Dai. :mrhappy:

Nice shots, Rob - and welcome to The Hangar! :mrhappy: BTW, 'FSXForever', your screenshot's really good - the only problem is that you have used just a little too much editing! Joe (Mutley) refers you to the Arts and Edits thread to compare it with other edited shots - like he says, it's sort of unfair on the others who don't have PhotoShop (or whatever) to enhance their screen-shots. Hope that's O.K. with you - good luck with your other entries! Cheers - Dai.

Nice one, Nigel - thanks for doing such a good job! I've been delving into 'red-eye' sorties recently and this looks just the job. Cheers - Dai. p.s. Is it Nigel or Martin - or U.M. (c'mon Boss - gis a clue!?!) -
Best years of your life, Kieran! Enjoy...... Cheers - Dai. p.s. With grateful thanks to Calvin and Hobbes - my constant companion.
-
Ace shots, George - really enjoyed them! That subtle 'de-focussing' and just a bit of tilt adds so much to the realism of your screen shots - brilliant. Mind you, it's time for that grass to be mowed again..... :dance2: Cheers - Dai.
