My Pam hit The Big One, yesterday - here's a couple of snaps: Welcoming the guests to the barn: ....and cutting the cake: Pam's best friend had made a cake representing the farm - with crumbling cliffs....! The lady in qestion had a great time - and is looking forward to the next one! Cheers - Dai.

Hey - I'd be able to 'go round the stock' in the morning without getting up - what a wonderful idea.....!! Oops, only joking, Pam - honest! Cheers - Dai.

They'd also find out who's been stealing the cutlery! (What cutlery? - Ed) Cheers - Dai. -
Sch-yeah, Kieran - totally politically in-correct, but highly entertaining! No criticism, really, but it was a bit one-sided - Nicht Wahr?!? Prost - Detlef (How did he get in here? Ed).

I've always wanted to go to Everest after reading about Ed Hilary and Tenzing's fantastic feat in 1953 - my boyhood heroes! Anyway, I found some Everest scenery on AVSIM recently and decided to re-fly the 1932 fly-past organised with the aid of the RAF. Unfortunately, the Westland Wagtail (the nearest I could get to the A/Cs used in the original flight) is seriously under-powered - as you will see! Here we are setting of from Purnea: Making a turn to port to fly north: The Himalayas, and the Everest group, in sight: That's the moon rising over Kanjenjunga (I think): The Everest Ma

Just found this snippet about the conservation work at the RAF museum at Cosford, Shropshire: http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/nwh_gfx_en/ART52678.html As it's the nearest aviation museum to me, I might get along to it. If'n I do, then I'll post some photies..... Cheers - Dai.

Very interesting, Joe - but why are the engine intakes, on the KC-10 and the fighters, all 'lit up'. And you'd expect the planes to be in profile (i.e. 'top down') and not at an angle - or would you? There was a nice shot of a Lanc over Huntingdon, too...... Thanks for the H.U. Cheers - Dai.

Certainly makes a change from simming, eh, Phil?!? Is that B747 an Air Salvage International project? Looks like an old girl, doesn't she.... Thanks for sharing. Cheers - Dai.

You've probably seen Tony's previous offerings over at Horizon - he made a very nice (and realistic) version of Haverfordwest Intl (EGFE) last year, which I've found most useful. Well, he's recently completed another airport - this time it's Cambridge (EGSC). Here are a few screen shots: VA Baron exiting the maintenance hangar: Passing some sophisticated aircraft: ...and the usual suspects: Waiting for clearance onto the active: .... and up we go (returning to EGCC): You can download EGSC and other airports by Tony, from here: http://www.arm-computers.co.uk Enjoy.... and tha

Cool flight, F.P.! Some really good screen shots and commentary - thanks for sharing. Must be nice to get away like that, eh? Sorry if I sound envious....! Cheers - Dai.

Thanks for the H.U., Joe (we ain't got a telly!) - great to see those two Lancs doing their stuff. And did you also see the "cockpit view":http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7405514.stm Amazing, or what? Funnily enough, I remember some of that from ATWC 114..... All those chaps were seriously good, eh? heers - Dai.

Not a lot of inertia in that engine set up - I wonder how it auto-gyrates....??? Be fun to watch, though! Cheers - Dai.

See you soon, Steve - thanks for all your screen shots and edits - make sure you keep that grass cut! And don't stay away to long......!! :dance2: Cheers - Dai.

A magical contribution, John - had me spluttering over my morning wheaties - thanks a bunch! Can I add something: English Corporation: You have two cows. The Government implements EU regulations. Imported milk is cheaper. You drill corn and produce bio-diesel - such is life. Welsh Corporation: You have two cows - they are black. They produce enough milk for their calves and some butter and cheese. The calves produce beef - life is good. Hope that helps - and thanks again for sharing. Cheers - Dai.

ddavid replied to mutley's topic in Around The World Challenge (ATWC)
First - and most importantly: WELL DONE JOE!! A terrific finale to the ATWC and a really brilliant combination of all the skills you've brought to the Hangar and shared with us over the last 16 months. THANKS JOE!! (O.K. - What's your second point then? Ed) Oh yeah: What's next....?!? Cheers - Dai. -
ATWC Hijacked by First Class Simulations
ddavid replied to mutley's topic in Mutley's Hangar News and Announcements
Hey, Joe - I'm really sorry - I just haven't seen this thread before, but I'm just as p*ssed (off) as you for this outright plagiarism! And, I tell you this, if they've included a certain young lady with a name starting with Sh.... (you know who!) then I'll be round there personally. Still, like they say: If you can't beat 'em - join 'em! And we just did - so there! Thanks for the ATWC, Joe - it's ours - we did it - they can't take that away from us. Cheers - Dai. -
C'mon, Theo - let's see your Ali G!?! Cheers - Dai.
