Jack's guide to the BufferPools Tweak
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Hardware
Thanks for your feedback Joe! Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, it probably could work with a 768MB Card, but any lower than that is pushing it! -
Hey VirginBlue, All competition entries should be posted in the "March Screenshot Compeition" Thread at the top of this page, not as seperate threads! Just watch out because Joe will probably delete those threads you posted.

Heya everyone, I welcome you to my very own guide of the infamous BufferPools Tweak for FSX. Before we start, I just need to make one thing clear: I would suggest that you only read on if you have a 1GB Graphics Card or higher. Less than this will most likely cause the tweak to WORSEN performance! Also, please note that this Tweak isn't for everyone, and it isn't guarenteed to work 100%. Thanks. So then! First things first. What is the BufferPools Tweak? Basically the BP Tweak is an adjustment that a user manually makes to the FSX.cfg file, allowing FSX to make much better use of available

Favourite FS Mission?
Aircraft Aviation replied to rob16584's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Really love the 737 engine failure one. Would be great with a complex Airliner like PMDG! -
Just to reiterate... Bob Markey's tutorials for the 757 Captain are fantastic. So I decided to make some printable PDF Procedures in their name.

All nVidia Users, get Driver 197.13!
Aircraft Aviation replied to Aircraft Aviation's topic in Hardware
As far as I can see no stability or temperature problems whatsoever here. Besides, I highly doubt nVidia would risk releasing another bad driver after 196.75's disaster. -
Get it! It has just given me an extra 5+ FPS everywhere, quite a nice stable driver.
-
Running a Zotac nVidia GTX285 Overclocked 1GB here. Runs fantastic visuals with great performance. I'd say get the GTX285, but since it's not there I'd say get the GTX275.

Saturday 27th March The Opencockpits CDU has been sent back. When I receive the refund, the VRInsight CDU II Panel will be ordered, providing it is compliant with Windows 7 64-bit (I have emailed them regarding this). Once the CDU has arrived, we'll be back on track. Starting with the TQ, more things will be mounted. I also have managed to sort out a timeline for the future Modules, to prevent the "huge waiting" that we had with the CDU. Early April: VRInsight CDU II Panel Mid April: Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant Late April/Early May: GoFlight's ATC Communications Panel You'll no -

Sponsored screenshot contest Q&A's
Aircraft Aviation replied to hurricanemk1c's topic in Screenshot Contests Archive
I would assume so, since they are part of the same family. The purchase and download system is extremely similar. I'm sure Joe & Scott could sort you something out (unless it is specifically Aviation Related only).
