  1. What's even more sad is, my Bike will probably be sold, used for drugs. Funding an ever growing illeagal trade.
  2. What Police was that Rob? I contacted Nottinghamshire Police and they were more than helpful! They even rang me back later in the afternoon the double check the details and see if everything was ok! I hope they find those little dirtbags and punish them to death. Jack
  3. what is the PIA aircraft in the last shot? Kind of looks like a shortened A300, but not an A320. Possibly an A310?
  4. Sorry if the title sounds a bit angry. I'll cut to the chase. My bike was securely chained up, overnight, at a location where I was staying the night (last night to today). During the night, some CHAV decides to come, with heavy duty bolt cutters, and cut the chains to my bike. The bike was then stolen... The good news! The police have a lot of intelligence on them, they're known and the police say they will most likely catch them. Very co-operative policewoman I spoke to, I received a reference number and incident sheet that was filled in. Also, my house insurance covers this type of thing
  5. Thanks alot guys, hope all goes well. I'm a bit suspicious of Opencockpits though... The tracking for the item clearly idicates that it was delivered on April 8th... Opencockpits say they have received nothing.
  6. Thanks alot guys! I hope to throw in some more strange and whacky characters for leg13!
  7. You could've also asked why I have a 737 Transponder! Good question. It is because I am building a "universal" cockpit, ie not emphasising on one aircraft. Just a note, the first cut for the overhead panel will be made on Thursday, and possibly (no guarentees) the first working switches will be implemented at the weekend.
  8. Thanks guys - Leo Bodnar's Card has just arrived!
  9. Just an update. Still no refund from Opencockpits unfortunately! It looks like the CDU has either been lost or delayed. Royal Mail say that if it hasn't arrived by the 21st April then I should file a lost item form.
  10. Boeing 757 Overhead Panel! As you *may* have seen in my Part3 Leg10 ATWCIII Post, I clircled a portion of the 757 Overhead. This is the part that will be first constructed. If you didn't see it, here it is again: I have, literally 5 minutes before this post, ordered Leo Bodnar's BU0386X Joystick Controller Card, which will be the heart of the Overhead Panel. It provides all the interfacing between switches, knobs, rotary encoders on the overhead and the PC. This is different to my current B747 Pedestal project as I am making the parts myself, not buying them pre-built. Please note, in no
  11. Things like this do happen in FSX! A nice little series of touches provided by the ACES Team. There are Fireworks on Independance Day, Dolphins Jumping around the seas in some areas, shooting starts (like you mentioned)... I also remember that near KSEA Seattle on FS2004, there was a giant Chicken to the North of the default runway!
  12. Thanks very much Joe, TRB and Mike! Sorry I've only just got round to replying! I really would love to make more, I just need Sony Vegas back again somehow! 9Maybe if I installed the older 8.0 version it would work?). Thanks, Jack
  13. Nice shots, although I don't think there'd ever be that many A320's at Tamworth!
  14. Thanks alot Joe! Honoured! Really glad you enjoyed it! It's funny how creative your mind can get whilst sitting back on your PC chair! :atwc: Thanks Kieran! And regarding the mysterious project... Take a closer look at ALL of what Alain circled! Not giving too much away yet . Jack
  15. Well here we are. The end of what was (and is), to be a very weird and interesting leg of ATWC III. Addis Ababa (HAAB) to King Kahled Intl (OERK) Part 3 of Leg 10 sees us hosting a whole bunch of previously seen pilots... Alain, Nick, Al and Ross. Fortunately, Al and Ross have dropped their poetic edge for this Leg in order to discipline the expectedly argumentative Alain and Nick. The four pilots managed to somehow find an old Arkia 757 hanging around at HAAB. They hopped in for the flight to Riyadh, where it was due to visit for a servicing anyway. Of course, the baton was that special p
  16. Thanks alot Joe. I was looking into this sort of thing, but scared about the difficulty. When I ventured over the the MyCockpit.org Forums, I figured out how so very, very easy it is. This is how I'll do it (hopefully!)... The interfacing card will be Leo Bodnar's USB Powered Card: http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836X/ Then, any buttons/switches/roataries I want to add will be soldered onto the card. Each switch has two terminals. One connects to the ground, and the other connects to a "button slot" (all convieniently located on the card itself). So, once I have soldered the switch I
  17. Thanks alot chaps! @ John - Who said that Beer wouldn't be smuggled in . @Stu - And the "confetti" is actually a FSX pixel rendering glitch, thought I'd put it to good use  . @TRB - Thanks alot matey :nea: .
  18. Al & Ross thank you for the kind words . Final part will be posted on Saturday as I am out skiing all day tomorrow.
  19. Building parts for my own FSX setup! As you know, I usually buy pre-built parts for the Pedestal, and will continue to do so (CDU, GoFlight Audio Panel)... However, as a long-term side project I may start to build some simple things myself, such as the Electric-Hydraulic panel on the overhead. I will do all the soldering, connections myself, then interface it to the sim with FSUIPC Macros/Mouse trapping. If I wish to make something like a display output from the Sim (ie a warning light), I will use Opencockpits IOCard for the interfacing to FSX, but this is for when I am more advanced with
  20. Thanks alot Joe, glad you enjoyed Al & Ross' poetic edge :nea: . The next part to Riyadh may feature two misbehaving pilots we've seen before... Also cheers Hurrciane for the kind words . Jack
  21. We begin the next section of Leg 10 with two new, more experienced pilots, Al and Ross. They seem to have a poetic nature to their speech, as you are about to experience... Jomo Kenyatta to Bole Intl, Part 2 of 3, of Leg 10 Al: Hi ross, what Aircraft are we Flying? Ross: The guy said an A300, he better not be lying. Al: Yup! He was right! There she stands! Ross: Hmmm... She looks heavy, I wonder how she lands? Al: Light as a feather! She'll just glide down. Ross: Good! Because I'm not going around. Al: Our preflights are done, time to get going. Ross: You know, I would've much pre
