  1. Thanks Mutley I hadn´t really realised that the Jackson project was that big. I thought it was just and airport and surroundings, so I didnt look close enough, but I can see that its something very different. With the exceptions of a few airports, I normally dont buy the ORBX region airport addons. I find the regions good enough the way they are. The airports are som much better than default. I have Global and Vector, so, maybe I should just buy Jackson now that its cheap. I´m flying Virtual airline, real weather in Alaska, so a day or 2 off into the jungle could be a nice change. Besides,
  2. Norway is a beautifull country and the screenshots I´ve seen look wonderfull, but its another region with rocks and cold weather, so for now, I pass on this one and hope they one day make a hot region with islands and turquise sea. Grece, Carribean, Indonesia comes into my mind.
  3. very high quality repaint of a very atractive plane. It has moved up on my wishlist.
  4. Dog track. Thanks again, I have installed the cloud textures (and made a back-up) I´ve tried some weather settings and it was exactly what I had in mind. Something simple to work with a realweather program and nothing more. All these complicated addons end up taking to much time and energy. Maybe another time I will go for something like REX. But not now. BTW, I didnt install this ENBseries thing. Just the textures.
  5. Mutley, thanks. Thats what I found myself and installed. Its the 1 cumulus texture I mentioned. Called Oscar- something. No risk in that cloud. His zip even comes with a default cloud backup. Arnie, I will take a close look into these suggestions. Sounds very interesting. Also your comment about REX.
  6. Hi, I would like to know the altenatives for cloud textures to use in P3D/FSX I know the rex4, but its pricey, its 16GB installed!!! and for the moment I would just like some nicer textures and not all the rest. There´s a guy making a texture called Oscar textures. Its free, but its only 1 cumulus texture. Al the rest is default (It actually makes a change because it changes the Cumulus could we see the most and which in its default version is a bit dull.) Anything else? I prefer freeware, but a reasonably priced new texture set will be acceptable.
  7. If anyone is interested, I have now found the solution of the chipmunk problems I had. It was the Simconnect.dll that wasnt installed. It seems like its a problem that sometimes happens with P3D itself. I found out myself, but I want to add that the service from Justflight was excellent. I never had the feeling that they would just leave me alone with this one. I have told them my solution and they have send it on to the others with the same problem. Btw. Its a very nice plane. It reminds me of the countless hours in Bill Lyons Fs2002/2004 chipmunk. Its one of the easyest small taildraggers t
  8. Thanks for correcting and you´re right, its only a forum, but comments like the one you made (before correcting) are not constructive at all. They dont help anyone and they are pretty annoying for the person with the problem, so better not write comments like that. Its only negative energy. Unfortunately, the internet is full of comments like that, so its easy to get picky about them. OK and no problems from my side.
  9. The Chipmunk is a P3D v1 product, so you could have seen that one coming... Before writing things like this could you please make sure you know what you´re talking about. What you write doesnt help anyone and least yourself. It just negative blah-blah that puts you in a bad light. OK The Chipmunk comes with a tripple installer and if you read their sales page, you will se that as well. http://www.justflight.com/articles/black-friday DHC-1 Chipmunk (Download for FSX/P3Dv1/P3Dv2)
  10. I am in contact with them but untill now they have only said "light" stuff. Basically, software is the way it is and it was me this time and someone else another time. Its not always something that can be fixed. I know that. Maybe I´ll have to reinstall the whole flightsim and everything. Another week with square eyes and little flying. I hope i dont have to reinstall windows as well. Its a one month old instalation of everything. The problem is that software problems end up taking the energy from the important thing. simming. It ends up being software simming and not flight simming. But
  11. Well, the chipmunk is right now uninstalled but the little bugger has left my system wit a serious problem: Before installing it I had a system that worked without any problems at all. After installing it, I can only make new flights with the default P3D aircraft. On all addon aircraft, being native P3Dv2 or FSX ported over, the engine will go out and refuse to start. Doesnt matter what I do. I can load my (before chipmunk) saved flights and all aircraft work (exept the Chipmunk). If I make a new flight with a default plane, start it and then change to an addon plane, the engine goes ou
  12. Gee, that Chipmunk really screwed up my sim. First of all, it was invisible when loaded. Everything got installed the right way, all folders in the right place and it was in the menu where you choose aircraft, But when loading it was invisible, except one tiny little piece of texture floating in the air and engine wouldnt start. The invisible aircraft moved when doing ctrl+e but didnt start. I uninstalled, reinstalled etc. No change. The worst was that my other aircraft except the Maule didnt work. I did a fake install of the chipmunk, into a folder on another drive, cheating it to believe t
  13. thumbs up I´m downloading the Chipmunk right now. Slow, low wing, taildragger, trainer, aerobat... Thats me. It has been on my list for a while.
  14. Yes, its a very nice cockpit. I strogly prefer it over the other Carenado single Turbos. Very straight and easy to read. Not to many little number which require zooming in and out or using pop-ups. I´m sure these planes get dirty sometimes. But maybe they dont take any pictures of them when dirty.
  15. Lovely repaint. Even though I dont have the Pilatus (yet) I´ve downloaded it I like repaints from work planes. Not just posh luxury versions or airliners. And just a little request... A slightly dirtyer and more weathered version would make me jump. One thing about the Pilatus that I like is that it does't have a full glass cockpit. I´m not a fan of the glass panels. I get more tired in my eyes and they do affect fps IMHO. These small Collins avionics are very nice. I like to have the "slip ball" right in the center of the view zone.
  16. Yes, price and money are weird figures but when we accept 50,-$, we accept inflation (never mind their accu-thing). I can buy a 50,-$ plane here and there and I might buy one of the accusims even though I find it to be expensive compared to other publishers work and I dont feel sure about the product. I´ve been looking at the A2A Cherokee many times, but when you google it, you see many persons having serious problems with it. The hangar where you fix things doesnt work and so you cant fly the airplane... I´m not into that kind of problems.
  17. uhmm. A classic. Even i have been a passenger in one of these. Nice instruments. I hope you make a clack-away-yoke.
  18. Nice product. I will be very interested when I´m ready for Scotland (purchase and install ORBX which is high on my list) Just one thing. Put the price on the product description page. Its not cheap, but also not expensive. It just give you the oportunity to walk away without noise if you dont like the price and it´ll make you concentrate more when reading about the product because you wont be think about the price, or evt. push the purchase button in order to know the price before having read about the product and then not comming back. Also use a screenshot as the link to the screenshot
  19. Thanks for the info. Now I found the correct scenery config file. pretty confusing with scenery cfg. files in 3 or more places...... And google is full of confusing info as usual. I installed the scenery config editor and pointed to the correct file and....... 152 out 162 entries has errors. Only the ones that I had installed manually were correct. The sim funcions flawless. Absolutely no problems... I can manually point all the 152 entries to the correct places but I will get square eyes and I end up loosing my energy for flying. I will probably do so slowly. I like the idea of controling
