Steph I hope you fair better than me, I recently upgraded my system, new CPU,MOBO & RAM, also a larger SSD, upgraded to Win10, no issues except for ORBX, used FTX Central 3 but just had so many issues with all my stuff, I had trees under the Severn Bridge, had real elavation problems in most of my ORBX regions and city sights were nothing like they used to be...I spent hours and hours researching and fault finding with ORBX and their web pages but after 3 attempts with the same outcome I gave up...it now all sits on my external driving gathering virtual dust and filling me with regret at s

thanks for the commencts... its that new city Duuseldorfski, you not heard of it?
-
cheers guys, Matt I would be embarressed if I looked through my various hangars and counted the planes I dont fly.....such a waste I could have bought some really good quality addons....
-
yeah I echo the above, take care and be safe, all looks pretty bad on the news from this side of the pond......

So I had a bit of spare time this afternoon, whoop-whoop...thought I would fire up the Bus...95 PAX and 3000KG from Frankfurt to Dusseldorf.... Jardesigns A320 & XP10.... Also have to say that the soundpack I purchased for this is really good, especially with the speekers and sub I have attached to PC, good shout by Phil White who recommended it a while back.... loading up... getting above the patchy cloud... bank to the left as per plan... descending.... gear and flaps, airport in the distance... just had to put this in beca

you certailnly dont need to tell me about Filton Al, many years ago I used to be a courier and be in there everyday, I now work on one of the housing estates most fridays over looking filton...such a waste of a great place that the RAF used to use for touch n gos to test their equip, something to do with the direction of the runway...big holes all over the old runway now and all the land being sold off for new housing and industrial units...at last though Concorde kind of has a home......had a lot of friends over the years who have worked there, I live in another part of town but not far away.

got mine from Aerosoft, NAVDATAPRO, large list of what it works with on their site, just over 9 euros for a one off download....easy peasey to install too....
-
I have a lot invested into FSX however I don't believe it's one or the other, I use FSX for AH and Xplane I just use to fly and explore or recreate a round or something, I do however feel I am leaning more to XP now, 10 is set up nicely and 11 I am still testing as its Beta....

just a few shots of a recent purchase, just done a few short trips, seems nice though not too in depth, XP10 & FLYJSIM Dash, looking at either an SSG or Xcrafts Embraerer next if anyone owners have any views... awaiting the crew to arrive steady climb out... different angle we are approaching some cloud cover now.... great detail I think....
-
cheers Phil, yeah I find she is just so steady and quite easy, great for exploring...slowly...
-
cheers guys, more concentration needed on my behalf I think....
-
thanks guys, I went to Aerosoft and purchased a single update, I think I will probably just do that every 6 months or so.....was an easy process....
-
thanks Martin very helpful, I will seriously look into it but have been very busy lately .....this was my first move into the world of OC and it can be a very concerning thing to attempt, I had guessed that the one-click route was just a casual attempt but probably one with very little risk to hardware... 54 seemed very warm to be but I bow to your greater experiance...not really sure how I would benefit from OC in regards to my performance which is mostly now with Xplnae, both 10 & 11.... I will have to read up more on the process and weight up the benefits...

thank you Tim, I will update.....

grat shots there Sam.....love all the clouds hiding the mountains, great feeling when you come out of them and all is well and you are just where you had planned to be....
-
nice one, great shots and some interesting points made....

your set up may be different, I have windoze 10 and when I click FSX export in Plan-g it gets saved to a folder in Onedrive called Documents, in there is a plan-g folder and that is where mine gets saved... you may have a set up that saves to a folder you get to by clicking documents elsewhere.. I load up FSX then go into flightplanner, then click load, that then lets me browse to my ONE DRIVE/DOCUMENTS/PLAN-G FOLDER, click on the plan and its in FSX... there may be easier ways but thats how I do it....I didnt chose to install to one drive but it is linked to my other saves like ATS
-
I am sure that plan-g saves to a folder on your OS drive.. Where you would find docs and pictures.. In FSX go to free flight and on planning there should be a browse option.. Search for the plan-g folder and your plan should be there... Away from PC but pretty sure that's where they go.. Apologies if I am wrong.. Wayne

I thought I would just try a quick flight in this lovely little AC trying XP11's ATC...it is a lot better than the last version and does give you time to actually do what it instructs, however like all ATC's in all sims it is far from perfect.....here are a few shot along the way.... parked at EGTR,I really dont like how they have done the grass on this addon... up and on our way... we're coming to get ya.... Carenado closeup.... heading toward a sinking sun, Filton just ahead.... as you can see I am a little to high at this point a

Jim I initially had big issues with XP, but once I took time to set up my buttons etc on the flightstick all is now good...I have 1 button set for outside, one for pilots view and right clik/drag on the mouse or hat switch lets me look around...also scroll on mouse zooms in and out and the up and down arrows to exactly that...I sometimes go back to FSX nad find that is hard work.....however TrackIR in either works fine too......
-
cheers Jim....
-
cheers Guys, not sure whether it is a needy thing to do....I guess I may just run with the current ones and see if I get any issues......I wonder if not updating causes FMC and planning issues.......
-
superb set, great scenery and a fantastic little craft......

nice one Sam, that first one looks so real......
