A little while back, I was asking if anyone had tried the Simworks F-4B Phantom. Well, I bit the bullet and bought it. While it is in the open Beta stage, I am NOT disappointed. Ok, I am not a talented simmer and I am not great on the computer, but this sim rocks. I have not tried the Tacpack or carrier features, but the flight dynamics are more forgiving than the MilViz Phantom series. There are some VERY colorful schemes, including the USAF F-110 Spectre!! There is a vast array of things to hang from the wings and I am looking forward to getting to know this machine better in due course

Very nice pictures, Alan. I have seen Miss D in real life, but only in the static park. I was aware that she was up for sale, but she's not in my price range!!! -

You are welcome, Brett. I hope that they include the red/white/gray scheme from Valley!!!! Martin -

I can live without the TacPack Tornado, as after all, there are now quite a few planes out there that are TacPack compatible, but I was looking forward to it initially when it was mooted as an idea. My understanding is that the Hunter is now in beta testing. Martin -
I am staying with FSX Gold. I have tried FSX SE, but for some reason did not get on with it. I do have it still, should I want to give it another try, but I have invested heavily in FSX Gold. I even paid 'a pretty penny' for a new, sealed copy about a year ago, just in case something happens to my current copy. I would be lost without flight simulator..... Martin

While doing a bit of browsing, I have found out that Just Flight are developing a Hawker Hunter F.6/FGA.9. There are pictures of it already on their site. Now the REALLY exciting bit....some pictures depict the machine in the colors of Jonathon Whaley's much loved 'Miss Demeanor'. I can't wait..... What's strange is that last night, I dug out my Alpha Sim Hunter and thought that the cockpit looked a bit flat compared to today's renditions in FSX, and today...well!... I find out the (hopefully) joyful news!! Another 'goodie' is that it appears that Aerosoft are releasing another

That's an interesting idea. I have never used an audio editor, but it may be worth a try. Thanks for the idea, Brett. Martin

Just wondering...... I have the rather nice Aerosoft Tomcat which I have been enjoying for a while. However, it does seems to have VERY loud sound effects when it comes to the flaps and other control surfaces moving....even if viewed from the tower!! I presume the sound is to mimic the hydraulics working, but to me, it seems overdone. Any thoughts.....? TIA.

Yes, I have done all that. I have been in touch with MilViz and they claim that FSPilotshop has the latest version. So...'tis a mystery!! I have a few of their products, and nothing else does that. Regards Martin -

Yeah....Milviz stuff is not cheap, but they are good. I love their F-4 Phantoms, but am not too keen on some of the schemes. I think that the Israeli one should have light gray undersides, not light blue as depicted though! Also, I really don't know why they put in an F-4J in UK FGR 2 markings, when the UK operated F-4J (UK) which would have made more accurate markings! I just HOPE that they follow up and do a Spey powered FGR1/2!! (HINT if MilViz are reading this!) As for not going wrong with MilViz, I do not quite agree...I have their F-15E and every time I load it, it does somethin -
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Simwork Studio F-4B Phantom, which I stumbled across today. I must admit that it has some really nice color schemes and I find it tempting! Does anyone know how it compares to the MilViz F-4 Phantom (I know that it's a different variant!!) Thanks Martin

Thanks, Jim. Glad that you like it. Martin

Yeah...Airfix has vastly improved since being taken over by Hornby. They have some really good stuff for kids and enthusiasts alike. With regard to clouds, my computer does not like clouds either. I love using clouds on flights, but there can be a price to pay. Martin
