  1. I said that it was a flight simulator for a jumbo jet, not a flight simulator for a jumbo!!!
  2. When Matchbox kits first came out, I was very young. I quite liked the idea of multiple colored plastic parts! When I got older, I liked the Hasegawa, Fujimi, Tamiya and some of the later generation Airfix kits. Their 1/48 Seafire and Lightnings were very, very good. When I got older, I got rid of the hair stick and went for the airbrush. I did actually write articles for Scale Models International for a few years, which was fun. Anyway, it's great to see your model pictures. I guess that some day I will have to dig out some of mine...... Kind regards M
  3. Aha! Got it. Thanks to Allardjd and all for your help. Martin
  4. Thanks for the info, Alan. Matchbox made some interesting subjects from time to time, but others were somewhat poor in quality. It's a shame that they employed trench diggers to do the panel lines on some of their kits! Their Supermarine Stranraer was pretty good though. Regards Martin
  5. That's not a shark....it's a submarine! Martin (Paying homage to a well known quote from Star Wars!!)
  6. I am struggling with multi-key commands. For example, if the instructions indicate 'Shift-E+2', just what is the sequence? I have tried various cominations and do not get anywhere...is there a certain knack to it? TIA Martin
  7. Nice one, Alan! Is that kit by Matchbox? I was not a big fan of making model bi-planes, but I did make a Tamiya Swordfish, which I really enjoyed. I did cheat with the rigging and bought their etched set for that. Martin
  8. Not really a joke, but funny! (I bet he drinks Carling Black Label!!)
  9. Ahhh....! Okay. Thanks for your very prompt reply, John. Martin
  10. When you are flying in FSX, how do you stop the 'Airport Information' script running across the top of the screen, and get rid of the verbal information? (Sometimes it comes up without me wanting it to!) Thanks in advance. Martin
  11. The residents at the care home were excited to see the see the drone....they thought that it was bringing them some new games of dominos as they forgot where they put the other games!
  12. I think that it is funny. There is plenty more of them on YouTube...... Somebody I used to share a house with introduced me to them.... Martin
  13. Thanks Brett. I am a bit old to have been taught about computers at school, so computer skills do not come naturally to me! (Ask my bosses where I worked when I was in the UK). Martin
  14. I am not sure how it got duplicated. It was not intentional. If you let me know how to delete the duplicate, I will try and do that. Thanks
  15. YAY!!! Just figured out what I was doing wrong. I have put some screenshots up now!!!
  16. I wonder just how qualified he was to fly a Spitfire. I fly a number of variants on FSX and know not to apply power too quickly or have the brakes on with full power. Gee.....
  17. Saw this video clip.......too much power too soon......?
  18. Well, tried to post screen shots as posted using the links that you gave, but it did not work. I preferred the method used before.
  19. Hmmm...send it back to Duxford......bet the various restoration companies there can fix it! Shame though.....
  20. Doh! A bit late......Happy Birthday Joe!! 21 again!!!
  21. Aerosoft Two Seat Lightning Review During a typical overcast summers day during the late 1960’s/early 1970’s, I stood at an airfield near Nottingham, UK. I was with my father, brother and some friends. The airshow commentator announced that the airshow was about to start and advised us look out to our right. We spotted a shape flying very low and very fast, as it emerged from the murk! Then came that ear splitting sound as this great silver machine flashed by us on its opening pass. The car alarms went off and babies screamed! Such was my introduction to the Engli
