"Moderation is the key" - a euphemism for leave my wallet out of it when residing in a bar. Don't listen to him guys, have a great time and really go for it! @ Brian. SEATAC 400
Not to sound picky, but the holiday is actually officially known as Independence Day! And now that the U.K. Is leaving the EU, we may decide to make you guys the 51st state Edited July 4, 2016 by SEATAC

Heaven forbid!!!
allardjd 1,853
Thanks, all, particularly those of you who are not Americans. This day is important to all Americans, even those too silly to realize it, and embodies no lingering animosity toward Great Britain - all that died out generations ago. I know 240 years is not a long time for a nation to exist. I hope ours lasts as long as yours. John
J G 927
I hope not John. But only because to catch up with us we would have to have stopped for about 750 years!!!

brett 2,315
Happy fourth to all, keep your drinks close and all fireworks far away. Independence is just another word for nothing left to lose.
Captain Coffee 2,030
Have a nice holiday all. Keep your drinks and pets close to home. Looking forward to my view of 3 firework shows from my floaty vantage point tonight...and sweeping smoldering bits off the decks and canvas from the closest upwind show...sigh...my 'Stay close to home' holiday ritual/trade off. And thanks for today's Janice Joplin earworm Brett.

But, since according to the Internet*, the only person who knows why you celebrate 4th July is a random Italian tourist, in a crazy kind of way it might just work . . . *haha!

You'd be surprised how many of us know why we celebrate/observe Independence Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day and Veterans Day (the old Armistice Day). Don't be taken in by the progressive media, who sometimes confuse what they'd like with what is. John

Corsaire31 419
How can you see it left on the 27 climbout ? For me it is 10 nm NNE from CYYJ ( I have a small unlisted strip called Hastings on Pender Island nearby on my Plan G map, might shoot up the Drifter at CYYJ to have a look... ) Edited July 10, 2016 by Corsaire31
Quickmarch 488
Dead right @Corsaire31. Senior moment on my part. Look left flying east (RWY09). Browning is 9.5Nm on a heading of 039M from the departure end of RWY09. Shows someone was paying attention Got mixed up with another post where I was describing the issues with the stock FSX CYYJ RWY27 ILS.
