  1. They say a picture says a thousand words so here are a few shots of Captain Sim's latest offering, the Boeing 737-100, enjoy: (unedited apart from resized & JPG'ed) Thank you for your time viewing these.
  2. Greetings folks, Papa may have gotten a brand new bag but the Queen finally has a brand new coat, in HD no less! The Queen of the skies, PMDG's 747X, has been revitalized with the addition of 5 brand new high definition coats tailored just for her, courtesy of McPhat Studios. Enjoy these 10 shots of the Queen in her new HD coats. (first 5 shots are unedited, last 5 are slightly edited, some were shot in DX10 mode): Lightly edited shots: Hope you enjoyed the view, thanks for looking.
  3. Here goes my entries for this month's Spooky theme: The infamous SR-71 Taking off into the night for a F-18 Hornet from its mother carrier. Still considering what to use for 3rd shot. Best of luck everyone.
  4. Folks you comments & praise really is welcome, thank you kindly. Doing videos certainly take more effort and time but if they are enjoyed by others, it is worth it. Very good so far, not managed to spend much time with her but I did enjoy practicing and learning how to hover her with her vector thrust. It feels similar to helicopter controls when the harrier is in VSTOL mode. Although having not spend much time with her, I really did enjoy flying her. The visual model is excellent, the livery textures are good (although I would have like have seen HD quality liveries here) and the flig
  5. Thanks, i7 950 4.2Ghz, 6Gb DDR3 Mushkin Silverline, Asus Sabertooth x58, 2x Zotac GTX580, Revodrive x2 480Gb PCIe x4 for FSX, Mushkin Callisto Deluxe 240Gb O/S, 2x Samsung F4 2Tb, NZXT Phantom White, CM Silent Pro Gold 1000W, Win 7 64Bit Home.
  6. Enjoy this latest FSX video by me using the superb Guernsey scenery from Earth Simulations and the Harrier Jump Jet from Wilco (which btw was my chosen prize for winning last month's competition, thanks to Joe & Just Flight for that great prize). Best watched at 1080p and full screen, please feel free to vote on my video in my youtube channel or leave a comment. Here are some screen shots from the video in case you cannot view it or unable to load at 1080p. btw these shots were not taking directly from FSX but from the post processed video, hence it is not as sharp or clear as my us
  7. Cheers folks, glad you enjoyed these, the scenery is now officially released. Now that I had a few days exploring it, I can tell without a shadow of a doubt, this is 'THE BEST' scenery addon currently available for FSX. Can't wait till they do Jersey, the place I been living for most of my live .
  8. Thanks folks, your appreciation is appreciated . Thanks, yes and no, AFAIK I have not posted any of the above shots before but several are from a series of shots and I have post other shots from the same series. So hence why they look very familiar but I am pretty sure they have not been posted before.
  9. Needles: ES have pulled Guernsey from their store site for now due to several buyers were experiencing CTDs while trying to run Guernsey on their sim. In order not to have other folks buy the product and then go through the frustration of having it crash on them, ES decided to pull the release until all major problems are addressed. With some luck, the product should be re-released either at the end of today or sometime tomorrow, if not, very soon after that. Believe me, it is worth the wait .
  10. It is the latest scenery release by Earth Simulations, Guernsey/Sark & Herm, 3 of the islands which make up part of the Channel Islands in the UK near the French coast. I very rarely get excited or rave about any of the latest FSX addon releases but this is something special, something extraordinary. In my time I have used many excellent scenery addons, from the likes of Orbx/Megascenery X/Horizon VFR/AS Germany VFR/NL2000v4/Blue Sky Scenery etc. Many are excellent and do a really good job of depicting the area they cover but now something has arrived which takes scenery realism/detail and
  11. Wonderful stuff Joe, had her DL since this morning but typically I just had way 2 much to do today. Plus I gotta tweak my FSX a bit for this scenery, normally fly high quality photoscenery with hardly any autogen, this has both high quality scenery and superb autogen but atm the sim is running like a dog. Screen shots incoming soon I hope .
  12. Greetings all, I managed to put together another small selection of random shots I took during the past few years for your viewing delight. I thought it would also make a nice break from the sudden influx of 737 pics on most forums . Please enjoy the view and as always my shots are unedited (unless stated otherwise) apart from resized down from 2560x1600 and JPG'd: (As the above screen shots are taken over a period of several years, they use a wide variety of addons and various REX2.0 & ENB settings) As always, thank you for viewing.
  13. Is it worth the money? Like in most cases, it is very much a case of 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. If you really like this aircraft, plan to fly it often, use most or all of its systems, then yes, I think it is easily worth the money for what it offers. But if you only would occasionally fly this a/c or not really use most of its system, prefer basic flying models then probably not so much. I personally enjoy the aesthetics of flight simming, I prefer that something looks good, is modeled with great detail, has high quality textures and has highly detailed bump/spec mapping. I do no
  14. Very nice indeed. Been tempted by her but until they sort most of the initial release bugs & issues and once the boys at McPhat do some of their repaint magic, I think I will hold off on this great looking a/c.
  15. Indeed, glad you like it.
  16. Wow... what an extremely pleasant surprise. Thank you Joe and thank all the others for their excellent entries and kind words. I must agree with Joe that judging these competitions nowadays cannot be an easy task. Ever since I joined I really seen the level of quality, detail and imagination increase steadily over time, so good job to all. Now to think of my prize, *goes away looking at JF's website and ponders*.
  17. Here is my contribution for this month's theme: The angels are coming to town: Showing off for the crowds: God Bless American: Good luck all.
  18. Thank you all kindly for your comment, always a pleasure.
  19. Greeting folks, I have been going through some of my massive backlog of screen shots, most of them are of Level D's 767 with the excellent McPhat World Airlines 1-6 HD liveries. There are simply too many put into a single post but I picked out a few for your viewing pleasure, I will probably post some more in the near future. I do hope you enjoy them, btw I rarely edit my screen shots (apart from re-sizing down from 2560x1600 & JPGing the 16mb BMP files!)but some of the below screen shots are very lightly edited, mainly to add light spots for Nav & Landing lights, for some reason the
  20. Thank you all for your kind comments, glad you enjoyed my latest work.
  21. Hello fellow simmers, Some of you folks may remember I started a screen shot thread last year called Pick & Mix, which came in 2 parts. It contained a random selection of shots which I felt were post worthy. I decided to continue that thread this year as I found some spare time to share with you another 10 randomly selected shots of my recent FSX sessions. Please enjoy the view: (As the above screen shots are taken over a period of several months, they use a wide variety of addons and various REX2.0 & ENB settings) As always, thank you for viewing.
  22. Thanks folks, your praise & comments are always welcome. It was a pleasure sharing these moon shots. Cheers Joe, will look into creating a gallery, if I ever find some spare time. Thanks, there are many addons in that harbor shot; Earth Simulation's Isles of Scilly, Deltasim's Coastguard, Nemeth Design Helicopter, REX2.0. This is a digitized moon which is freeware and replaces the original FSX moon textures. Just look for the word moon in flightsim.com's file library. Great capture there Jan Kees, thanks for sharing.
  23. Hey folks, It's been a little while since I posted anything, been very busy with other things, but I thought I do a quick compilation of some of my personal favorite shots involving the moon. So please enjoy this selection: Thanks for viewing.
