I thought it was quite amusing to imagine whether, instead if the internet, the subject was 'the X factor' or 'im a celeb get me out of here', not sure how many people would want to publicly report high scores ;-)

She thought it was a good idea so I reckon we should endorse it ;-) Yes, I reckon us Brits get a pretty raw deal when it comes to download speeds...doesnt make any difference that im only about a mile from the local exchange, id be lucky to get more than 200mbps on a good day when its in the middle of the night and all the planets are in perfect alignment! Grumble grumble ;-)

Reading Joe's review and knowing the site pretty well it does look pretty stunning. hey, speaking of reviews, I enjoyed reading yours on Wales. :-)

Thankfully mine is right at the end of the month but its still a bit too close to the festive season. Like you say, everyone has run out of cash after the monetary excesses of Chrismas and New Year so it tends to be a bit of an anticlimax. I reckon us 'unfortunates' should adopt the same policy as our good Queen, and have a second birthday in Summer...what do you reckon?

Yep, shame the list is a bit shorter than id hoped, but as far as boxed copies go, I guess im a fan of a proper physical copy rather than a download. Internet speeds even in this neck of the woods (a couple of miles from a major city) are totally pitiful, so id be collecting my pension if I had to download everything. Im kinda like that with books. Something to be said for a slightly smelly, yellowing printed book with the odd coffee cup ring, folded over pages and the odd pencil mark in the margin ;-)Minx

Love it Bruce !I have been VERY good this year... thankfully not too many embarrassingly shocking moments for the huz ;-) Think EGHI will find its way in there...or failing that, my Birthday is in January so if I have to wait till then for EGHI to be on proper discount then I can live with that ..

Blimey... I only managed a rather pitiful 31% I'm actually quite disappointed! Then again, we never had this sort of technology when I was young (the Sinclair Spectrum appeared just as I was getting in double digits) so im used to getting my kicks from non technological sources as much as the good ol WWW. I guess im not quite as obsessed as I thought..either that or I just dont feel the need to hide it! ;-) Minx

Morning all Was out on the raz last night and have just caught up with this thread.. I had a copy of Acronis way back and found it pretty good, apart when it came to upgrade it; the upgrade was as much as a brand new new copy. I thought tosh to that and looked into Norton Ghost but in the end I went for just using Image Backup on W7, to keep me going till I found something else..that was 3 yrs ago! I have an Image of all 3 drives (os, fsx and my aircraft hangar on a 3rd drive) saved as one file on a totally separate partition and backed up on an external HD as well. It works fine as long a

Thank heavens for Image Restore, and the fact that years of being an anal(yst) taught me to keep a clean backup and take notes of everything I install .... Got sick and tired of error messages, missing c++files and all sorts of 'remnants' of badly deinstalled software, im going back in time. At least this time I wont repeat my past mistakes....but shame I have to reinstall all my Orbx, Return to Misty Moorings and hours worth of Windows updates :-( Just thought it was worth voicing.... its so easy to forget to backup and always keep a 'good copy' of everything. Once the pc has finished reins

As a relatively new member, I have found this site such a friendly place to hang out..everyone has been so welcoming, supportive with queries and often brought me to tears (of laughter)! ;-) Had I not been at the Cosford Flight Sim Show and talking to Kevin, and Joe briefly, who prompted me to sign up the same day, I probably would have remained in my 'sim closet' forever. Being part of a community like MH has given new meaning and motivation to my hobby. A truly great bunch of people. Minx (Sorry for the basic emotions... dont get animated smileys on my tablet)
