Been playing around with my new aquisition - Razbam's Metroliner III. It has some really nice detail, both inside and out. Bump mapping, passengers, avionics. Lots of stuff. It has some USAF version with some pod underneath and a cabin with a laptop monitoring whatever is underneath I suppose. Passengers peering out the windows on the passenger versions. And with the configurator, you can see the cargo being added and removed as I add and remove it via the configurator. Very nice model. Especially since it only cost $15! I still need to learn how to properly fly the thing though

Just for you hifly. I took this last week at KFLL:

In the latest edition of real vs FSX, here is a Sun Wing 737-800 at KFLL. I think this is a fairly recent destination for Sun Wing.
-
Nice chopper. Looks like you've got that cargo hauling well managed.

Found a nice little restaurant at KFXE called the Jet Runway Cafe from which you can enjoy a meal and watch the aircraft taxi, takeoff and land right outside the window. Here are some of the more interesting planes that I saw. Citation X A very old C-123 A 45 year old Britten-Norman

Looks good Alan. Hope you didn't frighten that boater too much!

As many of you are aware, Iron Maiden has its very own 757-200 aircraft and their lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, is the pilot. But you may not be aware is that they just upgraded to a 747-400 on which he flies both the band and the tour equipment! I was driving past KFLL this morning when I glimpsed a 747, which is very rare to see at KFLL. But since they opened their new runway, apparently they can handle the heavy stuff now, where previously they would have had to fly into Miami. So I was quite surprised when I saw it not just any 747. So I got a closer look, from just a 100 feet or so away

Lime green? My, what a fabulous color for an aircraft! Not! Looks like the innards of a squished caterpillar.

Resolved How to create an album (FS Snaps)
SEATAC replied to SEATAC's topic in Members General & Announcements
Thanks guys! Appreciate the help! -
Here ya go! http://www.simtours.net/aurora.php EDIT: Whoops! Just noticed that John posted that link. Simtours is chock full of information on lesser known details of FSX

Can anyone tell me how to create an album in FS Snaps? Can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

Even in the '70's those Court Air colors were awful. Ewwww!
-
I was thinking it was inspired by the Yellow Pages. But who uses a phone book anymore?

Great story. Fantastic shots. Seven screaming engines from two iconic aircraft! Well done! The 727 is like a gorgeous sports car. You could've flown rings around that 707

A Spirit Airlines A321 in a truly awful livery taking off from KFLL earlier today.
-
Thanks hifly. Speaking of gaudy, I spotted this awful paint scheme on a Spirit A319.
-
As some of you may know, Eastern Airlines is back. At least the name is. They are now flying as a charter airline out of South Florida with destinations to Cuba and other Caribbean and Latin America destinations. I spotted one just after landing as she was taxiing. At least they kept the classic livery (mostly).

Very good shots Dolf! Looks almost real!

Nice set Rosario. Can't go wrong with the C-130!

Hopped on board the Metroliner for a flight. I turned to my left to check out the cute chick across the aisle and was startled to see this creepy guy staring from the seat behind.

Interesting video Joe. Thanks. I think this will be one to keep an eye on. I know that FSX is 10 years old now, but I have always thought of it as an operating system of sorts. Much in the way that Windows is an OS and developers create software apps that run on it. FSX is the 'OS' and Flight1, PMDG, RAZBAM, Iris and many others build the third party apps that run on it and that is what has given FSX such a long, vibrant life and kept it relevant. However, it can't keep being relevant forever as technology has moved on. It did however, take the hardware a long time to catch up with it as they
