Since that crap deal with Iran went through and we paid them $100 billion in bribes to get our sailors back and so they could continue to finance their Nuclear weapons program unhindered and fund global terrorism, I decided that it was time to take back one the F-14 Tomcat's that we sold them back in the '70's. It may be old tech to us, but it is still high-tech to them and the Tomcat is still a formidable weapon in the hands of a trained naval Aviator. So my former RIO from my navy days and myself flew into Kuwait City, then over the next week we covertly made our way to Tehran and after snea

Yes sir. With practice. Not easy. I have landed a C-172 on it many times.

Using the Iris Simulations F-14 Tomcat with the default FSX carrier off of the Virgina coast. This is the first time that I have launched anything other than the default FA-18 from an FSX carrier. That catapult sure does throw you back in the seat! And some night ops.

Earlier this morning, an apparently psychotic American took to the air and bombed London. He took aim at Big Ben, Parliament, London Bridge and other central London landmarks. There were no reports of casualties, but masses of injuries as authorities cordoned off the hardest hit areas and assessed the damage. It was not known where he got hold the aircraft, but it was reportedly being transported from the middle east back to the United States and was temporarily being stored at an airfield in the South of England when he climbed aboard and took off. His reasons are not entirely clear, b

Well Capt Coffee, The lab adjusted two of the photos taken during the strike so that you can clearly see the bombs did hit the target. And the next day, just for confirmation, we got some recon photos, black and white mind you. It seems the fires were still burning. Everything is rather dry out there in the desert and I guess their firefighting skills are lacking. I hope that this satisfies you that your tax dollars were spent wisely.

First 727 to take to the skies to fly again, for the last time
SEATAC replied to M.I.B.'s topic in Real World Aviation
Thanks for sharing. The 727 is one of my favorite commercial airliners and by far the best looking. I think they ought to fly it around the country for a farewell tour before it goes in a museum. -
Send that B-52 over to Syria

Let me know if you find any and send me their coordinates and i'll call in an airstrike with the A-10

Alan, I took your advice and launched an air strike against one of Assad’s air strips in Syria. Took off from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus and headed East. Once I cleared Cyprus airspace I extinguished all exterior lights. Approaching the Syrian coast I hit the deck and came in below radar and went weapons hot. Found the airstrip and dropped 12 MK-82’s right on target. Should take them awhile to repair that damage! Then I firewalled the throttles and got the hell out of there! Maybe you can hit them with your Vulcan!

Very sad. Really enjoyed his work. But don't forget his performance in Galaxy Quest. Fantastic!

Alan, this weekend I'll try and take out some of those camel jockeys for you.

Sweet revenge on the cargo jocks!

Well, I finally figured out how to get the weapons to work again on the Iris A-10. When I purchased the original Platinum series Warthog, the air-to-air refueling worked as did the Avenger cannon and droppable ordnance. The platinum version also came with 71 different liveries and configurations. Iris then came out with an upgrade that was TACPAC enabled. I was not aware at the time that you had to purchase TACPAC software from another developer in order for all of the additional combat features to work. But what I did find is that the TACPAC version, even though it said it could still r

Default from Iris I can only drop the Mk-82/SE and they will explode on impact. But this aircraft is TACPAC capable, so if I purchase the TACPAC software (http://www.vrsimulations.com/tacpack.htm) then I can fire the Mav's

Have i mentioned what a great add-on this is? Decided to go for a spin in the Iris A-10. So I'll load her up with various Laser guided weapons. There goes a DC-9 taxiing past me And a big old C-17 behind me Except it seems that he does not want to wait his turn. So pull off to the side and let him go ahead. If he is in that much of a hurry who am I to argue with a plane that large? Once I get airborne I decide to show the C-17 which is the more agile aircraft. I bet he can't carry laser guided bombs like I can. Thanks for taking a l

AI aircraft don't get much closer than these guys! They must be former fighter jocks! -

Join In! How big is your hanger.......and what is your favorite?
SEATAC replied to Tristarcaptain's topic in General
I am not sure how many different aircraft that I have, but I have uninstalled those that I don't really enjoy. I have come to appreciate only those that are hi quality in both systems modeled and visuallly. I have removed JF 757, JF 767 and JF Mosquito among others. All three were rather disappointing. My favorite would have to be a 3 way tie between Flight 1 Super 80 ( as some of you no doubt know), Iris F-14 and Iris A-10 Warthog. All three are super hi quality, hi-res and have an amazing amount of functionally working systems. -
Beautiful shots. very odd looking plane. reminds me of a baby with a diaper.
