@ Brett - Rob's flight plans may work in FS9 but they are not in the right format for an FSX xxx.pln file. As I said, somewhere above, these plans derive from an add-on called "Pro-Flight 2000" from On-Course Software - or similar. Best wait for Rob to use Tim's Plan-G to produce an FSX compatible file... (No offence, Rob!) @ Gunk - that's a great piece of work - thanks for sharing! And thanks for the new plates, John! Ciao - Dai.

Take it easy, Micke - it's your day - enjoy! Hwyl - Dai.

Aah - my only vice - music! Hope I'm not HD&Q'd for it! And sorry that the clues are a little cryptic... Here are some more: 1. I spotted this field when I was searching for John's recent subject; 2. The airport is served by RAM, but they have B737's - the B744 was, indeed, on a 'fly-by'; 3. There's a relatively famous mountain, to the east, named for a famous French geographer; 4. Another musical clue - sorry, you can ask "What?" but not "Why?!?"Enjoy... Une bonne santé - Dai.

They can't until the Airbus patent expires. John ... another of your pearls, John! Your're almost as cynical as me... Ciao - Dai.

Very interesting development: plastic "extrusion" using laser printer technology - here's the link Wonder when Boeing will use this technique... BTW, is it always as windy as that in Southampton, Joe?!? Ciao - Dai.

How many radiators do you run off it, Mark? Good for the cold winter nights, eh?!? 4.5 GHz - sch-yeah! Thanks for sharing. Hwyl - Dai.
-
Thanks Mike and John - I guess we're the Senior Citizens of the Hangar?!? Mind you, I'm busier now than I ever was! Ciao - Dai.

Many Thanks, Lads! Having a liquidish lunch with the family - life is good! And Thanks for putting up with the Old Git - it's good to be amongst such a friendly mob! Hwyl - Dai.

Yep, it's an M.A.P. B744 - and you're on the right continent... More suggestions with more nibbles! Cheers - Dai.

On we go... First, a visual: The plane's a clue. While you're thinking, here's some - and a clue, too, if a little tenuous!! More clues anon. Cheers - Dai.

Excellent work, Ulrik - I also found the default ground textures a little inconsistent with reality. The photo-textures araound BGBW look much, much better! Here's some more coastal shots - first a fishing village: ... and the heliport: BTW, this scenery really makes you want to get to Greenland - must start saving up... Cheers - Dai.
-
Looks good - any problems with Treescapes or Gen-X 3? Cheers - Dai.

O.K. - found Part 1. Another excellent set, Kieran - again, thanks for sharing - only wish I'd been there, despite the weather! BTW, my M&D used to live by the end of the runway - those KC135's are noisy! Cheers - Dai.
-
Great set - thanks for sharing, Mr K.! BTW, where was part 1? I must have dozed off!! Hwyl - Dai.

Xtreme Simulation Weekend Australia CANCELLED
ddavid replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
I guess that's the sim show planned for October in Sydney? Pity for our OZ mates... :001_th_smiles48: Still, there's always this: That's the (e)Xtreme Simulation Weekend at RAF Museum Cosford on October 22nd and 23rd 2011. More info here. I'll be wearing my Mutley Crew sweat-shirt. Cheers - Dai. -
Well, Christmas came early this year - we had a visit from the Wales Air Ambulance and RAF Valley SAR, to assist a young lady who had fallen and injured herself on the steep hill opposite the farm. We'd heard someone crying out after a group of walkers had gone along the footpath and, sometime later, we heard a helicopter approach. Here's the WAA Bo 105 coming up our valley from Welshpool: Looking for an LZ - not easy round here: Making the approach: Successful landing: Next, the paramedics set off to find the injured walker: At this point, Phil and I decided to take a closer l

Does the Garmin software interface to FS9/FSX? Sounds good if it did... Cheers - Dai.

Of course - just winding you up, John! I did try to make it look 'realistic' - got the pilot to side-slip - flaps and speed brakes inoperative due to low oil pressure. Unfortunately, the default scenery doesn't have the drag-strip barriers... Well Done! O.K., where to now? Cheers - Dai.
