Hey guys, Just a bit of fun in PS...enjoy. Thanks for looking... steve

Constant referrance to the real world and a little imagination will help anyone to improve on their edits. I think i'm about a year into to editing FS shots now but i enjoy it. I would not of dreamed of putting together some of the composites i have done a year ago but trial and error, a few prods in the right direction and every now and then i create something i'm proud of. Hopefully with the workshop i will give some people some new ideas on what can be done from what i have learnt so far. Who knows, sombody might teach me a thing or two... steve

Thanks again chaps. Its funny John, just the other day i saw 2 Harriers fly over which is quite unusual where i live as its usually the odd Tornados but more often F-15's doing ground attack training. I don't recall the name of the dunes they train on but ive been stood under A-10's gunning there and it was fantastic. Anyhoo my origional point was the noise the harriers was incredible compared to modern jets. You actually heard these guys coming they were so noisy. I'm guessing that older jets would make a hell of a noise compared to modern fighters but having never seen them i would not know

Cheers guys, you must be getting fed up by now hehe. John, i did not use much motion as the aircraft is near the end of the runway and about to retract its spoilers and cut reversers. If anything i think a bit of wing wobble would be nice but i cant get that into the shot :mrhappy: Here you go Chris, this is the first edit i did a while ago but i no longer have the origional as all shots were lost on my old PC. Thanks guys... steve

After using FE for FS9 i always wanted to get FEX but FSX on my old PC was not the smoothest. No a doubt in my mind, this i will get when my PC is up and running. Thanks for the heads up  steve

Just a couple of pointers that may help. Bi-planes in combat often flew low over trees and hedges which makes for some great shots. Taking a shot with the aircraft making up about 5% of the picture with the other 95% sky and grass makes a great shot for a scenery competition. Many aircraft from WWI often flew with some incredible camo patterns which always look good in a screenshot. Many stunt display teams still fly Bi-planes and their lies no end of interesting shots. One of the most interesting parts of a bi-plane is the fact it has 2 wings with struts and cables holding it all togethe

Nice work PZ, hope to see some more soon :mrhappy: steve

Hehe you are one confident chap. steve

Thanks for the heads up David. It was certainly not a glory look at what we did film. Instead a very touching film as the last surviving member of the damb busters finds out where the other 24 crew members were shot down on his raid. Also coming face to face with the reality of what damage each succesful raid achieved. One example was 1600 civilians dead when one damb burst flooding the valley. I think the old chap was incredibly brave to talk to some of the survivors and see their side of what a raid could do. Its the first time since the war he has questioned if what they did was right. ste

Good for a chuckle Joe  hehe... steve

Excellent work PZ, you have really improved on your editing in a short time. Top work sir!! Hope you will post some more soon. steve

I really like the first one. Just needs some light on the top of the aircraft where its catching the sun and you have a great shot. steve

I will run a small workshop soon to help people get a bit more out of editing. All pretty simple things but bring them together and i'm sure you will all improve your own shots. Oh and of course you can make it your desktop  Cheers guys, your comments are what makes it worthwhile. steve

Thanks John and nice job noticing the holes. Just curious but did anyone notice the flame bursts coming from the exhausts? Noticed it occuring after watching Corsairs leaving a carrier at dawn in a documentry. Joe i would say under 2 hours with the most time consming part being the selection tool to enable me to light areas seperately. Hehe Kieran, stick around long enough and i'm sure you will be able to create similar :nervious: Thanks Chris.. Cheers... steve

Cheers Joe, no greater compliment than hanging it on your desktop!! I thought you might like this one :nervious: steve

Hey guys. Another composite for you guys to mooch over. The aircraft are not my screenshots (no PC if you didnt know) but rather cutouts posted by other people for use as i have. These are however heavily edited to fit the backdrop. Feel free to point out mistakes. Thanks for looking it over... steve
