  1. Hats off to the pilot for getting it down as it is. Could of been so much worse. steve

    Pan-Am 747

Hey guys. Thanks for the kind comments, as always they spur me on. I am happy with the editing just not the origional shot due to the perspective. While Joe brought it up as not looking right others may not and simply pass on it as a picture thats not quite right thus losing its impact. Live and learn. Wayne my shots tend to be small as my monitor is 1280x1024 max. With this shot i can post it bigger as i edited it at 2x the size and still have the psd. file. I'll try save my PSD. files in future so just yell if you want one posting with the size you want. Cheers... steve

After looking at the shot i can see ive picked a bad setup. The idea was a low sun breaking through a storm. The dark shadow you speak of i'm assuming you mean a ground shadow is way off shot to the right. Also the runway reflection is on a taxiway and i think this is giving the wrong sense of perspective. The runway is not actually that visible. I did wonder about the fuse being too bright as it was a failed attempt at reflecting the low sun. Meh, can't win them all, one for the scrap heap  Never fear being critical though, happy to recieve it :nervious: steve
  4. Man did you say this was "Work" experience ??? I'm guessing some guys would pay to do what your doing. Fantastic shots and hope you have a great time Did my Work Experience at a locksmith, learnt to pick locks, slip open yales, break into cars and open a safe. Good job i did not turn into a crook reallly but got me in my house twice after forgetting keys Was a long time ago now :toclue: steve
  5. Good luck guys, hope you get the flights you want. Joe, as ever if there is a gap that needs to be filled am happy to fly but would rather let others fly if space is tight. Courcheval is an incredible Altiport for whoever gets that one. Landing there with strong winds and shear off the mountains will test anyones nerve. A great choice including that one Joe. steve

    C172 @ Orcas

Its a lovely shot and can just imagine the gentle hum breaking the silence as she takes to the air. Bigger next time if you can as i had my nose on the screen trying to pick out the details steve

Hey guys, Something a little more dramatic... The pre edit shot... Always feel free to be critical... steve
  8. A great finish to the first section  Loved the shots of the B300 and i almost flew an Aeroflot Airbus but ran out of destinations en-route. Glad i didn't now as you showed it off well. You also hit some good ol' Russian white stuff, fun to fly in :wacky: Top job sir and roll on to the next....quite curious where we will end up :mrhappy: steve
  9. Thanks for the compliment but a long way off being any kind of master. Only been editing shots seriously about a year now. As for the zero pit, if you planned to produce the crisp shot then you did a fine Job. Don't take anything i say as a wrong as we all create what we think is right. Many people edit in styles i can't stand but then others may love them. Eye of the beholder and all that  Your latest DC-3 pit reminds me of a DC comics artwork kind of flah gordon'ish if you get me :mrhappy: :wacky: steve

    Blue Daze

A pleasant shot Joe. :mrhappy: steve
  11. If i'm honest i feel the zero is over sharp and vivid, its a bit clinical. Some may like it this way but i'm not a fan of it prefering more matural tones. The spit on the other hand i feel is superb with great lighting a real feeling of a pit thats seen some action. The colouration of the shot has lovely warm tones. I would loved to have seen this one without the overlaid effect of aged photo but still gets top marks from me steve

Hey guys, Feeling creative this Sunday Morning so here is an edit for you to mooch over. Comments and criticism most welcome. before... ...and after some tinkering. steve
  14. Looks like a great airport to land at, lovely shot sir steve
  15. These responses make it well worth the effort. Only too happy you guys enjoyed this set of flights and was enjoyable to fly them. Agree with the color of the 737 Joe, not good after a night of the good stuff. Oh and no composite, just FSX doing a good job, was a nice supprise having never flown there before. Thanks again guys steve

    SA Flyer

Personally i prefer the used look but that is one neat paint job you have applied. The logo on the tail feels a little tight for space but otherwise its a really nice layout. steve
  17. Thanks for the responses guys, all appreciated very much. I've been flying this since i got the flight so not that hard to put together actually getting finished in the yak this morning. The edits themselves mostly took less than a minute each. With so many to do i was not going crazy on them. Crop, border, some lighting in curves and thats about it for the majority. The aircraft were C-130, Yak-3 by Captainsim. 737 was Wilco. ERJ and 767 are Posky. AN-25 is Samdim. AN-2 is freeware i forget the maker. Fox bat is Free Alphasim oh and a default DC-3 painted as a Li-2. Rob, its not so much a
  18. Afternoon chaps. Well it seems were well into another fantastic ATWC and must admit it could not have gotten off to a better start. Both the enthusiasm and quality of posts is as good if not better than all thats gone before. I had not intended to fly as it seemed to fill fast and would of been happy to let others go. However one or two slots remained unwanted so as i often do on the ATWC, put on my flying goggles and did my best to make the most of the flight. In this case the flight was over 1000 Miles from the top of Norway to Moscow. Quite an easy flight for most in one of todays airline
  19. Great shots Phil, looked like a fun trip. German Steam certainly is impressive. steve
  20. Excellent post Phil !! The flight was over some fantastic scenery and the commentary especially the geographic references really made for a perfect ATWC leg. Nice to see the Dash-8 also, not seen a full flight from this turbo but she has nice lines. Due to my leg being long i actually flew it as soon as i recieved it and thus actually had the last of the sun for my flight. Even at the suns highest it was still only just above sunset. I agree on the approach, deffinately one of the tightest i've ever seen and you did a good job getting her down especially as you had not seen it before. Top m
  21. I used traffic from just flight when i first got back into FS about a couple of years ago now which was good but poor models. I switched to WOAI which was really good models but many airliners not represented and takes some time individually installing each. I cant bring myself to re installl them all since new PC so have been waiting for traffic X but UTX has thrown a spanner in as not sure which will be better. The thing is with me is real scheduels im not bothered about nor wathcing the traffic. All i want is a sense of being there while sat in my pit. So basically good models acting accord
  22. Be interesting to see how it fares up against traffic X. Quality models but good frames is what i'd be looking for. Not sure but do these programs include GA or do they just use standard FS GA AI ? steve
  23. A great set of shots Wayne and amusing commentary to boot Another perfect post for the ATWC, is it me or is it running better than ever ? steve
  24. A beauty of a shot and such nice lines on the cony. Sounds like good flying on your tour. steve

    A GA flight.

Heh cheers guys. Not sure about the super sim but they are lightly edited remember. My turn for the ATWC soon so i'll be concentrating on that for now. I'm almost halfway to Moscow and already at 50 shots looking like a long post anyhoo    Hopefully ATWC then a new tutorial for budding editors. Cheers... steve
