Yup certainly agree and did so many times with other systems and their mods. That said, having a management tool when you have a potentially large amount of "mods" (I know we don't use that term here but I think we can agree on the sentiment) can be a godsend. Particularly when certain mods put stuff all over the place it can be hard to track it all down. For instance trying to manage a "beautified" Skyrim install with the 100 or so mods I have would be a nightmare without mod management. Anyone else using Addit! Pro For Prepar3D? Takes a little getting used to and it can sometimes be easier just to manually install stuff but so far (with my very small time with this sort of thing) it's quite good. Any other recommendations for Scenery, Aircraft, Livery, Config management (this seems to do it all).

There is, if you look hard enough I'm finding, some AMAZING freeware available for both platforms though obviously the ESP ones have been around a bit longer. I might have to add this one to the hanger.

Be nice if some of these older birds could get a face lift. Even just redoing the textures would be enough mostly. I just found their old C-5 Galaxy file and am looking forward to giving her a little flight after spending so long in their C-17. Will have to get this Heavy-Lift since I have a soft spot for over wing and transports.

Well ladies and gentlemans, now that they have apparently fixed perhaps my biggest bug bear of P3D, namely the not loading saved flights from the loading screen, I've taken the plunge into P3D v4 and am currently downloading the 12Gb install.... Wish me luck!

Grazie Rosario! I'm really enjoying flying this Rally and making these shots. Though I've spent a RIDICULOUS amount of time with Ortho4XP and getting get DEM files, it is starting to pay off. Mind you I spent two hours yesterday trying to sort out missing library dependencies for some NZ airports, so that's not much fun.

Well looks like I've got to pony up the dough for v4....

She sure does look good. ALMOST made we want to get one with that livery. Call me shallow but I can't get past that nose =) It's like.. Being able to wake up in the morning and smell the coffee... In Brazil.

Haha yea that's what I kind of expected from treading some of the posts in ATWC =) I'll have to think of what aircraft I want to get for P3D for that final as I'll probably be flying XP11 for my legs.

Being a newbie to the Hanger and a bit late to officially run the MEBAR, what sort of shannanegins can I expect on the upcoming Around The World Challenge? I've had a little read of the previous challenge and noticed that the last flight was online. Would love to join that but what FS would be required for that?

So once again I had to pause, save and then reload the replay to continue the flight due to family only to find that my engine was once again on fire. Not really wanting to refly the leg again, I called up the instructor station, changed plane, changed back to my plane and the fire was gone. And no it was not due to improper engine management thank you, I kept all my temps in the green and am getting quite good at my engine management but it seems like an issue with the coding of the engine and what not that it can't handle the quick changes when you go from the terminal to several Nms away. S

Hahaha the only crashing is me as I'm learning P3D!!

Ditto, have been doing full Cold & Dark starts andsitting there witht eh engine at 1300RPM waiting for the oil temps to rise
