  1. I thought I'd never get around to posting these shots! These are some screenshots of my September screenshot competition prize (yes, September!), the Carenado Cessna Skymaster. Enjoy! A very nice livery! (by Tristan Rusch, available here: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1969-carenado-c337-skymaster-redbull-n991dm/) Let's take a peek inside... Ooohh, very nice! Above the clouds. I just love this repaint! The detailing is just exquisite! Up, up, and away... Thanks for viewing! P.S. I love the new holiday forum theme.
  2. I'll drop in a few shots: 1. This is not the type of weather you want to be flying a Cub in! 2. Blasting through the clouds. 3. Again, not the sort of weather you want to be flying this aircraft in! Good luck to all!
  3. Wonderful shots! The lighting is very nice.
  4. Better... in fact, the last three shots are brilliant! However, it is still looking like a Hawaiian flight simulator.
  5. Thanks for the comments! I'll look into making an album...
  6. Just a random selection of shots that I took over the past few months (in chronological order!). Enjoy!
  7. Oh, whatever... Yes, it's been almost 5 months since I've posted in this topic. I have wanted to reply, but I've continuously been putting it off, and never got to it. So here's the conclusion I've reached: I haven't reached any conclusion. I have decided to forget about performance and just enjoy what I have. I think this is the most effective and simple way to remedy my "sickness". Now back to some relaxed flying! P.S. I'll post some shots from the new (well, not anymore) computer in the screenshot section.
  8. Excellent, I love it! Which REX water theme are you using?
  9. 23, 416! I think that's pretty good for someone who lives in Canada!
  10. Wow, thank you! This is a total surprise to me! There were so many great shots this month - I wasn't expecting to win.
  11. Well, I don't really have a favourite aircraft, so I'll just post a few that I like (or fly often). 1. The Cessna 152. Easy to fly, prefect for low and slow. 2. The T-45. Great flight dynamics, a pleasure to fly. Also great for carrier operations. 3. The Zivko Edge 540. Who can't have fun flying it? (this one is slightly cropped) Good luck to all! P.S. I'm not sure if the last image is too big, so I'll just post it for now and resize later if needed (could someone verify that the size is okay?).
  12. I hope I'm not too late... 1. Up, up, and away! 2. Coming home in the early morning light after some night ops. 3. Preparing for a cold night over the mountains. (I hope the T-45 is eligible for the competition) Good luck to all!
  13. Sorry for the late reply, I've been doing lots of testing. Kelvin, I did install all addons with rebooting in between, as per Nick's guide. As for FSUIPC, I have never used it before, and have never ran into any problems because of that. I don't really see the piont of it, so I won't install it for now. And I do not use UAC or Windows Defender - I have MS Security Essentials, which works well. With regards to having FSX on its own drive, that was not in my original plans when I was picking out the parts for my computer, and therefore, I do not have a suitable drive for it. I currently have
  14. Ah, I see! I actually just put my "general" location of Toronto on the Member Map, not my exact address. I don't really live in downtown - too many people and buildings there.
  15. Nice shots Ian! Maybe you should buzz city hall - it's been quite lively there lately with those budget cuts proposed by Mr. Ford... By the way, is that the SimAddons Toronto scenery?

    Spitfire

Well, out of the ones you mentioned, the A2A Spitfire with Accusim is definitely the most realistic one, if that's what you are after. The Just Flight (Aeroplane Heaven) one is the most simple, and would be good if you don't really want to spend too much time reading the manual. The RealAir Spit is the oldest one, and is sort of a median between the two other ones. However, as with all other RealAir offerings, it is geared more towards the systems and realism side. So, as Bill said, it all really depends on what type of simmer you are. If you want the most realistic one, get the A2A Spitfire
  17. Ah, it's released! I'll download it as soon as I can. I am always impressed with the quality of Dino's aircraft, and the dedication he puts towards them.
  18. Brilliant shots, Soya! I love the one with the NL2000 scenery!
  19. Nice! I hadn't seen that one before.
  20. 41 degrees on the golf course - wow! I was busy installing and testing addons all of yesterday, so the only heat I had to worry about was the stuff that my computer was producing. I heard they broke a record at Pearson, though! Looking at the forecast, they say its supposed to be 36 on Thursday! The meteorologists predicted it to be a hot and dry summer - looks like they were right...
  21. Nice shots Ian, and welcome to the forums! It's nice to have another Torontonian here.
  22. Very nice! I love the second one.
  23. Have you tried Shift+E+2 or Shift+E+3?
  24. Update I installed FSX in a custom location (C:\Flight Simulators\Flight Simulator X), and I am ready to start installing addons, as per Nick's guide. I'm assuming I should install REX first, followed by any large scenery addons (Switzerland Pro X, in my case), and then all the smaller, individual aircraft and scenery addons. Does that seem right?
