  1. I was looking through the many screenshots I have from FSX and got to wondering which one I thought was the most real. Thought it may be fun for folks to post just one shot, the one they think is their most real (unedited) looking shot. Here's mine to start it off.

    Dawn Hauling

Just a few shots of the new SADEx Cargomaster on a dawn delivery around the Pacific North West.
  3. Thanks Jim - no way of getting away with that livery in the real world :D It fit nicely with the story line and what I had planned - plus the edit was quicker than a full paint job I've insured the 182, you know what these young pilots can be like, I just hope he makes more than he's costing me Good luck with the Cargomaster purchase - I'm sure you'll enjoy it - plus you get offered some much bigger value jobs.
  4. "In a bold move today the CEO of Sabre Air Deliveries announced the expansion of SAD into the express deliveries market. SAD would continue to operate out of Darrington Municipal utilising the 182 with their new pilot the CEO's son Alex. However in a bid out manouver other local operators the company had leased a C208B Cargomaster. The new aircraft would sport the new SadEx logo and livery, however the CEO insisted that this wasn't a move up market for SAD and he indicated the company would continue to haul anyone's junk for the right price." The newly arrived Cargomaster And inside it's f

    Thanks Joe.

Sweet Charlie - great prize - great shots
  6. Only had the one go at it but I quite like the Twin Otter and for the sale price of £13 you get lots of variations. I can't see me going for this in Air Hauler though, I'm pretty set on my Cargomaster - you know the one with the special livery I showed you ;)

    F-14

Great shots Sam - love the angles
  8. I must admit I'm really unsure about which direction to go with SAD. On the one hand I'm quite keen to keep it small and personal but on the other I really want the cash to get the Cargomaster fired up, I'm quite tempted to lease it as I have enough for the deposit but the £70k monthly outlay is putting me off. Also I'm considering the route you went with the second 182 and have the AI generate a bit of cash. Oh decisions, decisions
  9. The short answer is I don't know Air Hauler has always been in £'s for me, I don't recall it being an option to select so I'm really not sure mate. Regarding jobs Air Hauler generated a number of very local jobs so I was able to shuttle cargo very quickly without flying very far eg last night I got £18k for a flight up to Concrete and back at total of 34 miles
  10. No, no not twocking up north that's more the north west :D After spending much of the winter in the frozen outreaches of the Pacific North West I decided to do a bit of Twotting back home. The short flight taking the Twotter from EGNT Newcastle to EG3J Kirkbride. Leaving the Academy We're off heading east out to sea Up the coast at Blyth Into Northumberland over Kielder Water Sunshine!! - don't worry it won't last Longtown Kirkbride's around here somewhere Ah there it is ... Wet, miserable but safely down Time to find somewhere warm and dry ..... maybe PNW!!!!!
  11. Well it's been a troubled week or so over at Sabre Air Deliveries. The company PC which controls all of the work schedules and deliveries suffered a fatal error and Technicians had to be called from the nearby Mutley's Hangar. The Technicians were a kindly bunch of chaps and they managed to remedy the problem in good time but unfortunately not quick enough to save a couple of jobs and a subsequent loss of reputation. A quick look at the job schedules revealed a number of small jobs in the local area hauling various items including amongst other things DVD.s and Animal Feed. The jobs meant the
  12. LOL with you there Jim - that happened with the Christmas Sale at Orbx - one nice reduced price airport equals bargain - eight reduced price airports equals a hefty visa bill
  13. Oh go on then for £13 I suppose it's got to be worth it. Plus I can now say Jim and Graham said I had to get it
  14. There you go again with your bargain hunting - throwing temptation in the way of someone trying to keep on the straight and narrrow. Is this Twin Otter any good it's very tempting at $19
  15. Thanks for the offer Dai but I think I'm still a bit too much of a raw recruit for this atm. I'd need to brush up on my navigational skills considerably plus I'm not too familiar with the DC-3. I'll have a bit tinker and get the files as Joe suggested and have a bit practice.
  16. Wow - brilliant but very crazy
  17. Funny that - I thought it was you who made me do it I always just blame you when the visa bill lands on the door mat
  18. Thanks Joe - is there anything to watch out for with this utility or does it just do its own thing? Thansk Mike - I've created a restore point so hopefully all is good there now.
  19. Thanks Joe - I'll save that for later. UPDATE As for the problem - well I don't know whether to laugh or cry to be honest but I now have FSX back in a fully operational state :yahoo: Quite how this works and whether it's fixed for good only time will tell. I found a fsx.exe.Backup in the fsx root directory so figured it was worth a try to try and use it. It was a wild stab in the dark but at the rate I was going I had little to lose. Anyway I removed the existing exe which the 4GB patch had created and put it in a safe place. I then renamed the fsx.exe.Backup to fsx.exe and hey presto it
  20. Thanks Tim I haven't tried registry cleaner - could you recommend one that's simple to use? I notice FTX have a Registry Fix Tool. Do you know if that would help?
  21. Any technical boffins out there Windows is logging the following error every time I try to start FSX Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0029dfde Faulting process id: 0xdd4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cce5cb399fac57 Faulting application path: D:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: D:\FSX\fsx.exe Report Id: 78a7c01f-51be-11e1-83f8-002215917dd9 Does this stuff mean anything to anybody??? :help: :help: :help:
  22. It really is SAD I'm afraid Jim. FSX has completely packed up on me, by the time I get back to it I'll have another two failed jobs and more lost reputation. I'll put up an update on where I am as I did managed a few flights last weekend. Just so frustrating no FSX means no AH and no AH means no virtual money to be had :( Plus at the minute I seem to be exhausting most avenues in trying to get FSX working again so I may end up with a complete re-install which will be a bloody nightmare.
  23. Thanks Tim That's what is so puzzling I have and use the three things you mention and all work without problems. FSX and all three of these addons you mention all worked fine on Sunday evening - only FSX has stopped working.
  24. Great set of shots Jim - Happy Hauling matey
