I have had REX2 since I first came to FSX, have to agree with Joe (Mutley) it takes so long to load the textures I can go outside for a smoke, come back in make a coffee, plus drink it, and the bloody thing is still loading , the whole program seem's a bit clunky on my system, almost like it's in a delayed action mode . On a brighter note there is talk at the REX site about a new update that's coming out soon and it should fix a few issues , but if I was spending my money again!, ActiveSky 2012 would be the one that I would go for this time around . First couple of posts in this link are interesting, even if it's not going to help with the missing FSX RW weather issue http://forum.justfli...s.asp?TID=16481 Slopeys post #5 is the main one that you should look at Cheer's...Graham...

I get the exact thing every time I load AH as well, and I do the same thing as you by going into weather menu and selecting RW weather option, just to get a few clouds in the sky, not sure why this happens with FSX! maybe a communication error between FSX and AH ? . Have not tried running the REX weather engine with AH yet as I have a few problems with this program locking up the screen or CTD on my system . Cheer's...Graham...

John, that was a brilliant post also thanks to Mike as well . When I saw that the newest version of EFB had a moving map I thought it would be a good replacement for the Garmin GPS that comes with the 182 RG that I'm flying ATM in AH, I only have one monitor and to be able to pull up stuff on an in flight knee board type thingy seem's an very attractive option to have I do have Plan-G and think it's great but having to Alt-Tab out to view it is a bit of a pain in the bum. I have REX 2 but the weather engine seem's a bit temperamentalon my PC, I have a few lock ups and FSX crashes when us

Hello Guys. I was thinking about getting the "Electronic Flight Bag" http://www.pcaviator...productid=19231 for use in my AirHauler missions instead of the default GPS? Has anyone already used this software? what do you think of it and is it all the advert cracks it up to be? Cheer's...Graham... PS: looks like they also have a version for FS2004 as well http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=19235

Hey Buddy. post a screen shot of your new settings please as I'm off to get some CH-pedals later and it would be handy to see what your running yours at now! because our systems are so similar, it should save me a bit of time setting them up Cheer's...Graham... EDIT: don't bother with the screen shot m8y, mine are working nicely straight out of the box

ATC sound level
PanzerFodder replied to Sabre's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
Don't know if this will be of any help, but I dumped my Asus sound drivers that came with my board a long time ago (mainly because half the sound was missing from BF BC2 ) I got the updated driver versions for my board from this site http://www.via.com.tw/en/ they are the people who make the drivers for Asus (on my board anyway!). Have a look to see if they have some for your board, but don't start deleting anything untill your sure you have the right one's . Cheer's...Graham... -

Hi John. from what I can see in FSX, in one of the training helicopter missions you have to land on a moving carrier and also I think that there is a couple of F18 missions that include taking off and landing on a carrier that looks like it's moving in the screen shots? . cheer's...Graham...

That's "S.A.D" to hear mate BTW: I saw that it was minus 41 in Alberta today, I wonder if the FSX real world weather will even come close to that temp, when I go on AH later tonight . (Edit) if it does! I wonder if the 182 will start up when it's that cold??? Cheer's...Graham...
