  1. Hi thanks for that advice, John. Do you know if your friend had bluescreen problems with it? It took me by surpirse a little.. and I also would have expected it to have said "Hardware Error" or something along those lines. Cheers, George
  2. Hey Guys, Had a really random problem tonight, and no idea why it happened. I use the Saitek Pro Yoke (with throttle) and pedals, and haven't had any problems using them as of yet. However, for some reason tonight, when I plugged them both into my PC via USB, the yoke started to go a bit funny. Fired up FSX with no problems, but the yoke didn't respond on FSX (it normally just connects itself automatically). I also noticed that the clock and stopwatch on the Yoke weren't working properly. The clock was stuck at midnight and the stopwatch kept flicking on restarting itself. Despite this the pe
  3. These shots are really great, and enjoyed the commentary too. I am thinking of buying this sim for a family friend who always wanted to be a truck driver, and is fascinated by them. How demanding of a PC is it? Cheers! George
  4. Hi guys, It's been so long since I installed an FTX addon that I've forgotten the procedure. I want to install Israel's Farm for PNW. Does that mean I need to activate FTX PNW in FTX Central before the installation? Sorry for the basic question Cheers, George
  5. Hi Guys, It's been quite a while since I posted any screenshots, so I thought I'd share a few shots with you from 2 flights from the last couple of days. Firstly one shot from a short hop from Longview to Davis Airport in the late evening: Secondly, four shots from another hop from Twin Oaks 7S3 to Sekiu. This time in the very early morning: Thanks for looking! George
  6. Thanks Joe and Tim, Unfortunately we didn't actually have time to go inside the Louvre. I've gathered that that takes 3 days to do alone! The visibility was fairly poor on the Saturday (Eiffel Tower day) but for a weekend in early March, I don't think we really could have asked for better weather. Cheers, George
  7. Hi Guys, Just been to Paris last weekend with my French A-level class. It was possibly one of the best trips I've ever been on. Beautiful city and a really fun 3 days. I thought I'd share some pics that I took. Eiffel Tower: From 2nd floor looking up! 2nd Floor: Right at the top! Lift down. Along the Seine: Notre Dame: Sacre Coeur: Arc de Triomphe: Louvre: On the train: (I'm the guy on the right making a "T" sign) Hope you enjoyed those. Thanks for looking Cheers, George
  8. Happy Birthday, Kieran! Hope you had a great day :birthday1: Cheers! George :hi:
  9. Joe, Hardware acceleration unticked on Flash settings solves the problem. After reading up more on this, it seems lots of people are having many problems with the new version. Some as far as youtube not working at all, and some people are even experiencing blue screens. Possibly an update to avoid (at least without research). Thanks for all your help, George
  10. Hey Joe, I don't know if that's the newest version, but mine says 10.2.152.26 If you don't notice it within one or two video changes, then the problem definately isn't on your PC. It's not really a problem, but it kind of annoys me that it doesn't work how it should. Am I right in saying it's not computer-specific though if mine, Dad's and Sister's computers all have the same problem? Cheers, George
  11. Joe, Yep the problem is persistent. Have you the version 10.2. etc.etc? I have that one. Could it be something to do with operating system? I am using Vista x64 .. Dad x32, however Mum is on Windows 7 and I believe you are too? Maybe that's why it's working fine on yours? Cheers, George
  12. Hi Joe, I've tried clearing the temporary files. Now I've found out that my Dad's laptop also does the same thing. Could you check your youtube please? If you go onto a video, then look at a different tab in the browser, then go back to the video tab and click on another video (in the sidebar or something), there should be a temporary image of the other tab before the new video loads. At least that's the problem for me anyway. EDIT: New thought: I think it could be something to do with the recent update for Adobe Flashplayer. I know that an adobe flashplayer update appeared on my computer de
  13. Hi guys, Just noticed the last few days when I've been using youtube that whenver I'm watching a video, and then click to watch a new video... the old screen (where the vid used to be) is filled with a temporary image, either from youtube, or sometimes from a different site that I visited earlier. It's hard to explain, but here's a screen: As you can see, the "old" video, is filled with a temporary viewing from a previous screen. I've only noticed this in the last couple of days and wondered if anyone else had noticed it too?? I just wanted to check to see if it was normal... Cheers! Geo
  14. Happy Birthday Simi! Hope it was a good day Regards, George
  15. There is however a funny story that goes with this. When they first rang, it was my Mum that answered the phone, and when the guy said about Windows, she said, "Oh no, we don't need any double-glazing" :icon_thumbup:
  16. Hey guys, Just thought I'd inform all of you of something that happened to my family the other day. Prank scam call centres set up in India have been targetting British people recently pretending to be Agents from Microsoft. They claim that there is something seriously wrong with your computer and that if you don't fix it soon, the computer will become extremely vulnerable to the outside world, and that people can steal your money. The aim for them is obviously to panic the user into signing up to their "solution". Here is the related article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/18/pho

    Gran Turismo 5

hey Rob, Thanks for the reply. Do you have a friend who has a PS3 and GT5? I don't have an Xbox, so I can't play Forza, but my friend has it on his Xbox and we're both into driving simulators so I can play Forza while at his house & vice versa with GT5. They're also great games to play with friends. Cheers, George

    Gran Turismo 5

Thanks Joe! Would she not be very impressed if you bought her a Z4 in GT5? I don't know what it is about the BMW roadsters, but my Mum always wanted a BMW Z3.. Cheers, George

    Gran Turismo 5

Hi guys, HAPPY NEW YEAR! For those of you who haven't seen or played the new Gran Turismo 5, I made a video the other day that I wanted to share. It's a lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in the rain. In older Gran Turismo games, the weather and time were set in stone, but on certain tracks for the new game, they change over time. The driving experience is excellent, with over 1000 cars featured in the game, and many tracks (including the Top Gear testrack! ). The graphics are spectacular, although my video doesn't really do them much justice! My video: Also, for those who ar

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone at the Hangar! All the best for 2011... George
  23. Happy Birthday, John! Hope you have a great holiday! All the best, George
  24. Not really totally sure why. When I first joined the JustFlight forum back in 2005, I was only 12 or 13 years old. That summer we had been on holiday to Madeira. We flew on a TAP (Air Portugal) Airbius A321 ... therefore TapA321 Cheers, George
  25. Haha nice! I can't say things run with the same efficiency here in the UK. My Dad's working from home as soon as there's a sniff of any snow! Cheers, George
