  1. Some really excellent shots in that set. I particularly like the Lufthansa livery on the last shot. What aircraft/repaint is that? Cheers, George
  2. Thanks for the replies, everyone! Looking forward to those, Soya. That's the set I bought too - World tails. The standard Union Flag tail is my favourite livery though. Cheers, George
  3. Hi Joe, Thanks for the reply - the PMDG livery is in .dds format and the files are no bigger than the two standard liveries (except the thumbnail image is 20kb more) that came with the JS41. There's a difference in the aircraft.cfg entry. The other two liveries are labelled with "gallery=fore" and this one is labelled "gallery=aft". I have no idea what these lines mean but I presume they are something to do with "before and after"? When you said a texture caused FSX to crash, was that when you used that texture or did it happen whatever the aircraft? Another thing with this problem, Joe - i
  4. I was thinking about this again - and the only thing I've altered in FSX since I noticed the problem was that livery from PMDG. Could installing a livery cause a problem like this? I also first noticed the problem while using that livery in a flight.. however the problem still remains even when using a different aircraft. Do you think it is worth removing the PMDG livery to see if it solves the problem? I suppose I would just remove the texture file and the entry into the aircraft.cfg? The annoying thing about this problem is it's really hard to test for. For example, it happened mid-flight
  5. Just saw this post. Congratulations to you both Cheers, George
  6. Hi guys, I came across a really annoying problem just today on FSX. It involves the top menu with Flight, Options, View etc. when you press Alt in FSX. I like to use the "Flight analysis" map a lot while flying, particularly on IFR, but today for some reason, I pressed this mid-flight and it came up fine, but on leaving the window and going back to the FSX flight, I got some weird distorted views. The VC had disappeared, when I tried to change view, the aircraft was missing and it mucked up all the menu as well. The only option was to alt+f4 exit. This happened first of all while using the PM
  7. Hi all, Here's only one shot that I took after a nice flight from Exeter to Ibiza today in the beautiful Feelthere ERJ-145. Thanks for looking! George
  8. Nice shots, Rob. Some great wingviews in there! Cheers, George
  9. Hey Joe, Downloaded and works just fine! Thanks Cheers, George
  10. Hi guys, Since viewing Soya's screenshots of the beautiful FeelThere ERJ 135/145, this addon has gone right up to the top of my wishlist. After browsing the FeelThere website, however, it states under the product the "minimum requirements". At this point, it says that ONLY 32bit systems are supported. There are many many users out there (Soya included, I believe) who have 64bit systems, so what is the situation here? Does it cause any problems on a 64bit system? Cheers, George
  11. Simi, you can speak Cockney!!?? I used to have a DT teacher who was cockney, and his favourite saying was: "Stop fiddling with the Vice Handles", which always made me laugh... Cheers, George
  12. Hi John, I'm interested to hear your examples of difference in American accents - and you're right, it is difficult for, say an American, to pick up on all the different accents that we have here in the UK, but there is still no such thing as a British accent. Made up of four countries - England, Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland, each of these places have completely different accents (the most obvious of which is the difference between the English and the Scottish accents.) Some would argue that you can refer to a British accent for any region in the UK - which is understandable, considering the
  13. Hi all, Some of you may already have seen this woman, perhaps on youtube, and also perhaps on British TV, where I can remember them discussing her ridiculous impression. Basically, she's "teaching" the audience to speak in a typical British accent, which I presume is meant to be the typical southern English accent - there is no such thing as a British accent. Anyway - I saw her video again today and I've never heard such rubbish in my life. They were originally posted by a group called "expertvillage", but were removed by that user - probably to save the woman embarassement. Here are two exam
  14. Happy Birthday, Phil! George
  15. The sky on the last shot is ridiculously awesome (you can breathe now) Cheers, George
  16. The UK's looking very detailed on your machine! Nice angle on the last shot, by the way! Cheers, George
  17. Really nice shots, Soya. Somehow, the plain BMI livery has always struck me as a really nice livery - even though it's very plain. Joe: Nice shot. I've never been on an ERJ, but my Mum used to travel on a BMI one from Heathrow to Durham Tees Valley every month or so, before they stopped the route. Cheers, George
  18. ^Ditto! Happy Birthday, Rob! Cheers, George
  19. Internet is back up and working now - finally! Only at 5mb according to speedtest.net, but it should gradually increase when the line stabilises according to BT... Cheers, George
  20. Internet still down. It's just... "another 24 hours" with them. They have to wait for the line to stabilise so that it resets itself. Just really annoying me. It was very nice of them to tell me that the line would be down before they upgraded us, wasn't it? Cheers, George
  21. Hi Simi, I've called them just earlier (about 6pm) and they said that they'd do it straight away. Asked them "how long will that take?" ... They replied "within 48 hours"... so then I said.. "Well that's not immediately is it" ... bla bla bla... they said they'll do it, but I don't think I'll have any internet for the whole weekend to be honest. If it's not up and running tomorrow by midday (when the whole day has passed in India) I shall really get onto them. Cheers, George
  22. Ok. The engineer came today and the problem was... they'd upgraded our line to a new "super-fast" line and the current line hardware couldn't cope. So they've now fitted a new board and necessary hardware to cope with the new super-sl ... err i mean super-fast line. They've done that but the engineer said that BT needed up to 72 hours to reset the IP profile, but he also said it is usually a lot quicker than that. 24 hours later, still nothing. If somebody knows what the IP update means can they please tell me and how long it takes (perhaps from experience). Cheers, George
  23. After noticing a fin-like shape on the surface of the water, the whale-watchers were disappointed with their discovery.
  24. There's an engineer coming to fix the problem tomorrow. I dunno what that will involve though... Cheers, George
