  1. I heard that too, Joe... I think it might have been on the BBC that they said we're looking at a big potential snowfall on Thursday. A white Christmas would be lovely, but I think actual snow on Christmas day would be nice (imagine if Christmas day was the Saturday just gone) Cheers, George
  2. Thanks for the replies, all. The music is "Nightswimming" by R.E.M, played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. @ Joe, have you had any further snowfall yet today? The skies were looking very wintry here too, but nothing has fallen this afternoon so far. According to the metoffice, Southern England (particularly the SW) could be in for another 10-20cm on monday/monday night, with a similar front of snow to the one on Saturday. Cheers, George
  3. Hey guys, I know there's already been a topic here for snow, but since we're back in the big freeze again, I've got some more pics! Not sure how much of the UK was affected badly today, but I know that N.Ireland and Scotland have been having a hard time over the last couple of days. Today, we got it in the South of England, and, even though the snow only came down for 2-3 hours, we got a good 10-15cm of snow... I've made a short video, all of the photos/video clips were taken in Surrey & Gtr London. Not my usual YT page, I know.. this one is mainly for PS3 content, but it's the acco
  4. Yep, that's exactly what it looks like. The recreation ones come in a variety of woods, but I prefer mahogany (like in this picture) because I think that's what the original antiques were. Cheers, George
  5. Hi guys, I'm not sure if anyone here uses Windows Live Messenger, but I've been using it for the past few years now, updating to various different versions. All versions so far I think have been an improvement except for the new version (2011). I downloaded the update for this via Windows update which claimed it to be an "important" update. I really wish I hadn't. I think the main aim of this new version was to keep the user more in touch with their social updates (such as facebook), and you can now easily see any notifications of activity without actually going onto the website or opening up
  6. Hey guys.. thanks to all of you for the Birthday wishes. I had a great day, and got something that any aviation fan will be interested in - an RAF sector clock. Not an antique, because they're really expensive, but a lovely 10inch recreation. Oh and RAF cufflinks Cheers, George
  7. Nice shot there Joe.. I'm thinking of getting this for PS3. Has anyone else here got one? Cheers, George
  8. Hey guys, I was told a joke by a mate at school today and it was the first joke that I have actually laughed at for quite some time. Dunno if it will be to your taste but I found it quite funny .... Two men meet in the afterlife. Both of them have died in different ways. The first man says to the other man, "How did you die?" The man said, "I froze to death". The first man said, "Really, what's it like to freeze to death?". The second man says, "oh it's not so bad, you feel numb and cold, and then just fall asleep and die." The second man then asks the first man how he died. He said that h
  9. I'd recommend the PMDG Jetstream 41 if you don't already have it.

    My New Room

Hi all, I haven't been active too much recently on the forums mainly because of GCSE exams from May to June, and then a lot of travelling during the summer holidays, so it's nice to come back to Mutley's again. Well, over the last year, we've had a loft extension on the house, and with my parents moved up into 2nd/3rd floor (?), I've got a brand new bedroom and also a nice new "study" room for my computing and Flight simming  .. The desk arrived a couple of days ago, and I was really pleased with how the room is looking so far, so I thought I'd share a few pics. The hardware is mos
  11. Wow these shots are gorgeous.. I'd love to walk along that beach in the sunset Cheers, George
  12. Phil - Congratulations on those fantastic A-level results and really hope you enjoy your time at Durham. I know how horrible the day of getting the results is. Even though I haven't taken A levels yet myself, I remember my sister's results day 2 years ago and how stressed everyone was! She's now happily studying Biology at Exeter University. On 24th August I had the GCSE results day and was extremely pleased with mine (6 A*, 3 A, 1 - now studying AS Physics, Maths, French and Geography.. and since you're studying physics, I know who to come to for help Good luck at Durham, Phil -- Do you

    Where am I?

That's a very nice shot. I'd say Hillsboro- something or other, can't remember the full name! Portland-Hillsboro?? Cheers, George
  14. In terms of the Germany-England match, I think that had the first half been fair and truthful, England would have entered the second half with a different opinion, and perhaps the defence would have been slightly stronger, rather than trying everything to squeeze and equalising goal. However, even though Germany seemed to beat England by a long way, the 2 goals that England scored in a single minute shows some serious weaknesses with the German defence, and against a team with completely different styles such as Brazil or Argentina, Germany would have no chance. (We'll see in the Arg-Ger game)
  15. Really nice shots, Brian. I think I could count the times I've flown to Scotland on FSX on one hand. This looks tempting... Cheers, George

    Packhunters!

Soya, various aspects of that very first shot are extremely realistic - particularly the fluffy clouds. Loving the additions posted by Jankees and Mike, too... Cheers, George
  17. Deep blue sky and Deep blue sea just looks so fantastic with the FlyBe livery. Nice real world shots as well, Joe. I really love those "disembarking shots".. I have a load of those from various airports across Europe. Hope the holiday was great.... I really must dig my 190 out sometime!
  18. All the shots look amazing and the ERJ goes so well with the VFR Germany scenery! That ERJ 135 does look tiny, though! Cheers George
  19. The screens are very nice, but a reversed slide-show proved difficult! I'm not sure about slideshows, but my pics always upload "backwards"... Cheers, George
  20. Very exciting news, indeed! The CDU is looking really fantastic, Jack. Looking forward to further updates. Although I haven't commented much on these projects, I have had a good look at them - certinainly very inspiring! Cheers, George
  21. Hi Joe, I think I will leave FSUIPC uninstalled for the moment, just to see how things go. I haven't had that problem with the flight analysis, so fingers crossed, it will stay away! If the problem pops up again, I will definately install FSUPIC. Unfortunately, I caught Rob at a really bad time with the PMDG enquiry, as he's just in the middle of upgrading to windows 7 and has wiped everything! (Good luck with the installation, Rob!) Thanks for all the help, Joe. I feel pleased that I've come out of the surgery with a healthy dll.xml file now, anyway! Cheers, George
  22. Joe, This is what the dll.xml now looks like. I created backups of both the two and then sort of merged them together.. using the old backup as a basis to add the new add-ons to. It opens properly in internet explorer now and looks a lot healthier: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> Launch dll.xml False False.ManualLoad> Object Placement Tool True False ..Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKMission Creation Kitobject_placement.dll .Addon> Traffic Toolbox True False ..Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKEnvironment KitTraffic Toolbox SDKtraffictoolbo
  23. Thanks for that advice, Joe. I will have a go at this when I have time a little later on. I will edit this post to let you know how it went. Cheers, George
  24. Hi Joe, Thanks for that reply I'm not quite sure where to place the line you've said to add. Here is what my whole dll.xml looks like. I'm quite sure there's some stuff missing... <?xml version="1.0"?> Launch dll.xml False False.ManualLoad> FS Recorder Module False False F:GamesFS AddonsFS RecorderRecorderFSX.dll .Addon> FeelThere ERJX Helper False FeelThereErjE145XH.dll .Addon> .Document> U Interestingly as well.. I have another dll.xml file from ages ago which was an automated backup before Ibiza X was installed. It was created back in N
  25. Hi Joe, All my traffic has remained the same settings for quite a long time now, and this has only happened recently. I could try changing it, but it's very hard to pin down what the problem might be. On the other hand, I haven't seen this problem now since when I first posted, but it's very hard to test for. It never happens if you start a flight and open up all the menus. It was only happening a good way into the flight or at the end. I normally use the flight analysis to check the flight progress and route on approach, which is a very irritating time for it to occur, because the whole flig
