Well things are improving as you can see.. Does a fault in the line mean that BT should be able to identify and fix the problem? My dad says he'll ring them and try and find out more tomorrow. Also glad to see David at number 10. I would love to watch it on iPlayer, but I'm too busy throwing my router out the window. Cheers, George

Hi guys, For some reason - just since yesterday, my internet at home has been performing ridiculously slow. I get my internet from BT Service Provider and normally this works at a pretty decent speed (just recently tested at 7-8mb download speed). Now, since yesterday, my internet has been performing really slowly - downloading at an extremely fast 0.14mb/s. I've asked my dad to ring up BT or if there's anything he could do, but I know that conversations with any SP are not pleasent and that he's not working from home at the moment, and so probably won't have interest in the problem til he ne

Apologies, Joe. Rant over!

Hey simi. Best of luck with everything. At least you've got a great story to put into the diaries Cheers, George

Yep. There's been quite a few occasions where people have been asked to remove their flags in order not to offend ethnic "minorities". It's ridiculous. If I moved to a different country, or say the situations were switched round, I'd want to do everything I could to fit in and respect that country for taking me in.

Happy St George's Day to all! It's obviously too racist to celebrate though... Cheers, George

Thanks for posting, Rob! I'll make the first contribution. VFR: Portland Troutdale (KTTD) --> Davis airport (6S4) - 50nm 1. For this flight I would recommend FSX with the FTX PNW scenery. Or alternatively, if you use FS9, you could use the Flightzone O2 Portland scenery. 2. The runway at Troutdale is Asphalt and 5399ft (1646m). The runway at Davis is Turf and 1940ft (591m). 3. I used the Carenado Piper Seneca, but you could use any small GA aircraft (remembering the runways). 4. Day time flying is best as it is only a grass strip at Davis, but you could push early evening. The runway i

Hey guys, Thanks for the kind comments. This was a really nice route. Somebody should make a thread on Flight planning where people can contribute and suggest some pleasent routes across FSX, and the appropriate addon scenery that goes with it to make it even better. Also route information, like the the distance and estimated time. Cheers, George

Hi guys, Just purchased FTX NA Blue the other day, so I've been enjoying some bush flying today. These shots were taken on a short hop from Davis airport (in Gates) to Oakridge State airport (both in Oregon). Here is the landing at Oakridge: Can you see the runway? Turning to line up now. A bit high, but those trees look like they'll get in the way. :nea: Parked up after a nice landing. Cheers, George

That's exactly what I wanted to hear... thanks Joe!

Hi all, Just wondering what the situation was with this addon and FTX AU? On the Mutley's hangar review, a screenshot of FTX central shows only the default FSX and FTX NA. If both Australia and PNW are installed, do all 3 show up or is there a seperate FTX Central or something? Secondly, if I were to install FTX PNW, would I set my current FTX Central to Default FSX or Australia? Cheers, George

Well it nearly lasted 24 hours... Well done, Joe. Over to you

is incorrect I'm afraid, Rob. I'll post another clue shortly. Cheers, George

Beautiful shots! I see UK short hauls are quite a favourite of yours. I really should get back into some UK flying.. but I'm too busy over in FTX Oz at the moment! Cheers, George

Took me quite a while to decide which airport to do, but I've found one. It's really difficult to tell how hard/easy these are going to be. Here is a satellite image (of part of the airport) And here is the first clue. This airline is a frequent visitor. Cheers, George

Kos - Ippokratis (LGKO), Greece Cheers, George

Really nice shots, Sam. You really can't beat some excellent photoscenery. I think your system is struggling to run that scenery though - just not enough FPS! Cheers, George

Thanks for the replies guys. I agree, Joe. Everyone seems to be digging into some great scenery recently, but I think I've seen the most of the Scilly Isles. That scenery really raises the bar for all the FS Developers; will have to get it soon! Cheers, George

Hi all, Only a few shots I took on two flights I did yesterday. One was along the the AU Gold Coast from YPMQ - YPEC and the other was a quick hop from Alicante - Ibiza. Cheers, George

Woah, those skyscrapers on the last one surprised me a little! Stunning shots as always Cheers, George

Nice two shots - looks like it will clear soon, so hopefully you won't be grounded for too long! Cheers, George

I want that 757! Very nice fleet there, thanks for posting.. Cheers, George

Flying Lesson - West London Aero Club (White Waltham)
TapA321 replied to TapA321's topic in Real World Aviation
Thanks for the kind words, Mike. As it happens, there was someone doing an acrobatics lesson just before I set out for my lesson - looked pretty scary, but also very fun at the same time - and yes, I'm sure I'd feel pretty sick too! Unfortunately in this Piper there were no Parachutes, but I had the comforting thought of being last out of the aircraft if we had to evacuate! I'm sure White Waltham hasn't really changed too much since you did your first flight there - it really is a nice friendly airfield. Thanks to everyone else for the kind comments, too! Cheers, George -
Flying Lesson - West London Aero Club (White Waltham)
TapA321 replied to TapA321's topic in Real World Aviation
Hi Joe, Thanks for the reply. Certainly was lucky with the weather - easily the best day we've had this year. Visibility in the sky was great too. I'd really love to take more lessons, and eventually obtain a PPL. I'm currently in Year 11 and taking GCSEs this summer, but after my A-levels (so at 18) I was thinking of taking a gap year, whereby I would work (to pay for the lessons) and also go flying. It's still early days, but I definately would love to continue flying. Cheers, George -
Hi guys, Today I went on an introductory flying lesson at the West London Aero Club, based at White Waltham airfield. I was flying a Piper PA-28 Warrior and the session included a 30 minute briefing and 1 hour's worth of flying. The instructor let me fly pretty much everything on this flight, apart from the takeoff and landing - where he took over about 200ft off the ground - oh and one incident where we were close to a collision with a glider . All of the pictures taken were taken by my dad, who was sat in the back seat. :nea: Just as we were arriving, a Mustang was too. This Mustang is a
