  1. It's a beautiful morning at the airport. It's really rather annoying. Having spent the last few days here with Uncle Brian, I've run though my supply of spf50+ sunscreen and I might add, most of my cash. Brian has been great fun to be around, but a few habits have sneaked in from his Scottish home. I'm not saying he's tight, but charging a three course meal to the hangar's credit account seemed the norm. I had to pick up the tip of course. Still it's been great to spend time with Brian. What to fly is always an interesting question, and Whist Brian was at the bar one night, I got talking
  2. I really want this one. I'm not a fan of the C172 so I'm hoping to pick the one up. Jess
  3. Dear god, that has to be the most disgusting product I've ever seen. Yuk!
  4. Although I'm still not talking to you, you jammy git, having looked around, and based on my experience of the chain, there are two premier in s in the area that offer cheap rooms, but good quality stuff. Your first choice is London Greenwich, which isn't to far from the O2. The downside is a lack of a tube line. The other choice is London city airport. It's on the docklands light railway and just a few short stops for the jubilee line and the O2 stop. As an example, rooms for Thursday the 10th of July is £59 for London city, and around the £100 for the Greenwich hotel. Hope this helps, Je
  5. Thanks guys. Phil, carenado do make some really nice aircraft for XPX. Just wait until 10.30 is released. Finally a good GPS will be available.
  6. Pretty certain it was a mesh error, judging by the large lake I past on the way there that was sat on a plateau.
  7. ATWC 44 It was incredibly late when I arrived at Madang airport. Having been enjoying a quiet holiday in Australia, visiting my fellow mod and friend Andrew Godden, I got a call early a few days before. The call was from Mickael at challenge control asking if I could pick up an extra leg due to pilot shortage. Leg 44 had been delayed a week as it was. I told Mickael I'd do it, although my choice of aircraft was limited to say the least. On previous legs, I've been lucky to have a few friends lend me an aircraft. British airways let me 'borrow' Edgar the T7 and mount cook kindly donated me
  8. Pity I jumped the gun last week and bought Inverness. Still very happy with my purchase though.
  9. I'm still working on it, but I've stolen a little time away to type this. Oh hell, she's coming.........

  11. Guess this one is going to be much sort after. The carenado server's down. Looking at the model though, she is gorgeous.
  12. Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I've been away for the weekend and missed this being published. The scenery is a fantastic showcase for what's possible in x plane, they just need more of it. Nigel, got to agree, not seen a flight sim boat that looks any good. I can only think that developers just don't like the things. No wings, no love. .
  13. It's a really beautiful area. I took a flight over LA at dusk yesterday, and it was stunning.
  14. I must admit I'm excited by this one. I've been hoping for a heron or one of its sisters for ages. Looking at that VC, I'm guessing this will be an instant purchase. Jess
  15. Nice pics Alan. How beautiful do the B707's and the VC-10 look.
  16. Aircraft: General Aviation / Business / Corporate Aircraft - Carenado's C90 for X-plane. A real treat for X-Plane. Watch the engines or suffer the consequences. Commercial Aircraft (including commuter / regional aircraft) - Majestic Dash-8. With its sim model working outside fsx, the dash-8 is easy on frames. Historical Aircraft - SibWings AN-2 Colt. A beautiful aircraft that's a hoot to fly and is rendered beautifully. Military Aircraft. Scenery: Area Scenery (region / country / state / area); General Aviation Airport - Beti-X CZST Stewart for X plane 10. Finally, a quality airport
  17. Hi Benoit, First thing to sort out is the difference between each of the packages. For starters, UTX Canada is a completely different type of product from both GEX and FTX Global. Global and GEX both do the same thing. They replace the default textures used by fsx. That's all. The two programs are also direct competitors, so you can only use FTX Global or GEX, not both as they both do the same thing. UTX Canada is a separate product called land class. It changes the default land class to something more accurate. Roads, rivers and shorelines are all positioned correctly and if your flying
  18. Whist is bloody freezing back home, My New Zealand day starts with a bit of hazy sunshine and pleasantly warm air. The new Zealand summer may be waning, but I'm going to enjoy it, none the less. It really is a beautiful day for flying. In contrast to my previous flight with Edgar, Today I'm flying something a little smaller. Borrowing a Twin Otter from Mount cook airlines, I make sure I have the baton, (A drink with John is never just one Drink!) and head out the field to inspect my new friend. Cookie, as she'll be known for the flight, is in good order, looking almost factory fresh. It's cl
  19. Can't agree more boss. The scenery pack is the real star of the show for me. It gives the whole pack an extra dimension, and at that price, its a bargain.
