  1. Hi Patrick, I have this set up now and it may be useful to you and others to know how it works (As I see it) There are 3 components needed to make it work. 1. The app called FSXFollow; 2. The PC program called FSXFollow; and 3. FSX Installed and running. How it works: The FSXFollow PC program picks up the data via simconnect from FSX and 'transmits' it to www.positiongames.com. You start the FSXFollow app which automatically connects to the FSXFollow server on the internet and you then pick up your flight to follow. So you need to have your flight sim PC and iPad connected to the int

  2. Angel Interceptor. A single seat strike aircraft with a top speed of around 3,000kts. Developed from the earlier Viper Jet built by International Engineering, the final blueprint was vastly different from the original design and was tailored to Cloudbase Requirements. Although compact it carries a massive electronic suite for Spectrum operations. Each aircraft took 9 months to build. For operational use they are clamped onto Cloudbases flight deck and can be launched in seconds. The design is unusual to say the least, The aircraft uses skids as opposed to wheels for it's undercarriage as these

  7. We're starting to repeat ourselves. I recall posting a picture (possibly a year ago - in this thread) of one of the Airtruck wrecks with the registration blocked out. I went looking and couldn't find it. The pictures are victims of a mis-placed cleanup in SmugMug. This means they won't be available to the thread. I may still find them in a hard drive backup. Edit: I believe Alan identified the a/c that time.

  11. On my flight from Guernsey to a small airfield near Nantes, I flew over my birthtown today. Under the plane is Dinard with "La Grande Plage" - the main beach - (a wealthy holiday resort with wonderful houses from the 30s, which was developped by the Brits) and on the left across the river Rance is Saint Malo. (my grandfather used to say the people from Dinard were not like us, they lived "de l'autre côté de l'eau " - on the other side of the water !) The red dot shows where I spent all my youth. I lived with my parents on the third floor, just had to cross the street to be on the beach

  12. @ John G - It pays to read any comments from Andrew or Alan in the Guess the aircraft thread VERY carefully. They often salt the trail with clues even when they are not the one who posted. If their choice of word looks stilted or odd or if the spelling of a word doesn't seem right, think twice. It's probably some helpful hint to the identity of the mystery aircraft. John

  16. I dont have an iPad so I cant tell you how to connect. I have a Android equivilent which requires the PC program to be running and the tablet to have a wireless connection to the same network the PC is on. The Tablet software then has to be configured to look for the PC on the network that is running FSX and the PC side of the software.
