    Dydd Gwyl Dewi!

Diolch yn fawr, Boys Bach! Ac mae'r un pethi i chi! Sun is shining - lovely day - must plant some more trees! Lloniannau - Dai.
  3. Sam has sorted the download problem - and the SP1 has installed O.K. I'm just trying the updated VC out and will see how things go... Cheers - Dai.
  4. Manfred Jahn has developed two original C47 Skytrain exterior models using the flight dynamics and VC of the default FSX DC-3. Manfred has uploaded these at Flightsim.com - you can find the zip files by searching for 'C47' here - model and PSD paint-kit available. The exterior model is quite good and includes some nice animations. Manfred plans to release a replacement for the default VC soon. Here's a taster: For me, there can't be too many DC-3's! Cheers - Dai.
  5. Nice work, Kieran - I see you had some time spare on your birthday?!? Cheers - Dai.
  6. Pen Blwydd Hapis, Kieran - Enjoy!! Cheers - Dai.
  7. Hey, Kieran - I'm sorry, I missed this post - apologies, mate! Good time, too - well done. :cheering: The GAAR Results page has been updated for Leg 8 (see here) and the current standings are: Tim - 98.98 points, Dai - 98.57 points and Team Mutley - 95.06 points. Our Team is the highest placed team!! Excellent!! :icon_thumbup: And, of course, we're the only team to have the guts to enter - Go Team Mutley... So, well done, Tim - so far, that is, until we get to the end... Cheers - Dai.
  8. Thanks, Martyn - Sam is sorting this out for us! Cheers - Dai.
  9. Good posting, as ever - welcome back, er, Precious!! Cheers - Dai.
  10. Very interesting - thanks for the HU, JD. I've got a problem with the cooler on my Q9400 - in cleaning the fins recently, I inadvertantly (which is the posh way of saying 'clumsily'!) moved the cooler and broke the TIM seal - sch-yeah! So, now I've got to dismantle said cooler and re-apply some TIM and this article is just the ticket! Cheers - Dai.
  11. Excellent - this is a great improvement, Joe. Finding the right Review is so much simpler, now - result! Oh, and I notice that the L*nc Review Score is back to the original level - thanks... Cheers - Dai.
  12. Downloaded the SP1 but the installer doesn't recognise the DC-3 that I've got! JF are on the case... Cheers - Dai. :not-so-cool:
  13. I'm not a combat man, but this new offering from Maddox Games looks pretty good: The water textures and the misty sky, at 1:15 in the video, are excellent. Couple this with the new IL-2 shadow effects in the Spit's cockpit and you've got a winner, I think: Maybe this is what I need to get into combet, eh?!? More info here Cheers - Dai.
  14. Top marks, Tim! Great scenery after Bundy - must be the ORBX stuff? And that landing at Lady Elliot was, well for me anyway, entertaining, to say the least! Cheers - Dai.
  15. Nice pics, Tim - BTW, why did you choose the SA Twin Pioneer? Cheers - Dai.
  16. Good time, Rob - looks like a possible score of 98.76 for that Leg - Well Done, mate! Where's the scenery from - I had to fly with default all the way - pretty dull, except for the high ground, which was a bit scary, even at 5000'! And that air-strip - good thing they'd mowed the grass before I got there!?! @ Chuck - you don't miss much, eh?? Cheers - Dai.

  18. Mike, I use McAfee and the disk loaded and auto-ran no problem. Perhaps it is Norton, as Joe suggests? Good Luck! Cheers - Dai.
  19. Great editorial, John - who needs screen shots anyway?!? I apologise for getting your time wrong - don't know what happened there, but I'll email the correct time in to GAAR. Cheers - Dai.
  20. At first I didn't realise she was over land - I bet the skipper got an earful when he got back, eh? Oh, yes, did you hear about the Mk3 that actually landed at RAF Angle during WWII? I think they had to actually bring her down on the grass runway after sustaining hull damage during a sea rescue. I'm not sure if the fuselage was repaired, but it's likely that the aircraft would have broken up completely if they'd tried a 'normal' touchdown on the Haven's water. Nice find, Joe - thanks! Cheers - Dai.
  21. After the disappointment of the FCS Sunderland, this video is just the 'pick up' I needed! More salt, Vicar?!? Cheers - Dai.
  22. Just a HU for anyone who, like me, would like to see a bit more sun! Catalonian Airlines, a Spanish VA are organising a 7 Leg Tour of the islands in the western Mediterranean. To be run under VATSIM rules, I think, and will certainly be enjoyable - more info here For some unknown reason it misses out Ibiza! I can't think why?!? Cheers - Dai.

  24. Thanks, John - that's fine. I'll email the Leg Time into Andrew. Rob is doing Leg 7, then, it's just young Kieran to finish things off - excellent! Cheers - Dai.
  25. Don't forget, Sharon works for Mount Cook Airways - see here It's just a small hop from Auckland to Oz! Cheers - Dai.
