Tim - many, many thanks for the most useful bit of software I've used alongside FSX. Plan-G makes up for so many shortcomings - pitiful flight planner in FSX, absence of land in FSX 'Map' function when using Gen-X photo-scenery, identifying best approach in absence of ILS - I could go on. Let's just say Bl**dy Fantastic, Mate! Thanks. Cheers - Dai.

Yep, Have a Good Day, Chuck! Us Celts have got to stick together, eh?!? Hwyl - Dai.

Well done, Duncan - that'll please the X-Plane fringe! Wonder what's coming next ... Cheers - Dai.

Maybe you've heard of Outerra? Well, I hadn't, 'til today. Picked up this video link from DC-3 Airways: More info about the scenery engine, and some more pretty incredible videos here. Interesting, eh? Cheers - Dai.

Excellent shots, Jankees - I really like the Caravan and you do it justice, thanks! Cheers - Dai.

Excellent, Joe - now I know why it's so quiet on the Earth Simulation Forum! BTW, some interesting info on Brecqhou here Isn't strange that some people - mainly media moguls - are so removed from the people that their 'products' serve... Cheers - Dai.

That's a terrific project, Dan - thanks for giving us such an excellent tour - and thanks also for making it available. Cheers - Dai.

Is it a font problem? The 'button' font may be missing/been over-written in your FSX system. Should be somewhere like: C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Fonts Just a thought - good luck! Cheers - Dai.

I think they're licking their wounds and have re-instated the old Library and Forums while they make adjustments. See here Cheers - Dai.

Hi Simon Like John, I'm not into scale model building any more - for a start, my eyes just aren't up to it and my tactile skills are not much better! However, I do enjoy seeing the results of other's labours in this area, so I'd welcome more posts on the types of model that you've described in the poll. Whether the subject would demand its own sub-Forum depends on the number of posts that are generated, I guess. Using the "General - chatter that does not fall into any of the other sections" sub-Forum would be a good place to start, and we could go from there. So I've voted 'Possibly' and tic

Is this what you mean? I guess I'm at zero feet AGL, definitely close to stall speed - and look at that tail dragging! Cheers - Dai.

Tried the new AVSIM Library and I find it O.K. Given that I was registered with the AVSIM Forum, 'registering' for the new system required me only to give my name. After finding out what this was - from Pam - I was away! After a couple of cycles through the 'What's New?' section, I couldn't remember what the old format was like, so that's all right, then! The 'Search' facility feels quite similar to the old system, except for the removal of the 'back to previous page' option, where you could edit your search criteria after an unsuccessful search. The new system resets all the search fields t

Well, that video certainly woke me up - thanks, Boss! As for the bolts - well, what a story, eh? Truth stranger than fiction... Cheers - Dai.

FSX SAVED FLIGHTS
ddavid replied to David TRIGGS's topic in Flight Simulator X (FSX) / FSX Steam Edition
O.K., David - time to bite the bullet and organise those Saved Flight files! First off, when you Save a Flight, do you start the Saved Flight 'text' with an aircraft or 'type of flight' identifier? For example, when I'm preparing for a Review - like Treescapes - I put 'Treescapes' at the start of the Saved Flight text. These Saved Flights will then be grouped together when I hit the 'Load' button on Free Flight and I can get back to a saved Review position quite quickly. After I've finished the Review, I 'gather' all the Saved Flight files from the ...\Libraries\Documents\Flight Simulator X F -

A good read, Jack - plenty of detail to keep my old brain running! Although I'm not a tube-liner man, I found it very comprehensive - thanks! Cheers - Dai. -
Was the last one through an empty Guiness glass?!? I liked the dark Ryan-Air, though! Cheers - Dai.

One day you'll learn to get that mixture right! Cheers - Dai. P.S. When did you pay the premium??

Yep - insuring with D.A.I. is certainly the best idea... This was my first attempt at Lady Elliott Island on the 3rd GAAR Leg! Remember, "You've tried the rest - Now try the Best!!" - Dai's Aircraft Insurance - The company you can trust! Cheers - Dai.

Thanks, Lads! It's great having your very own Saint's Day - pity I don't get a day off for it, though! Nice to hear from young Phil, too! How's the Physics course going - hope you're enjoying things. As for daffodils, wait for Spring, the place will be covered with them! Cheers - Dai.
