Hey, Simon - I explained the joke to my Pam, but somehow, she didn't get the joke! Still, she doesn't drive a blue one either.... And may I ask, Joe, what have you done with Hobbes - my all time fave 'toon character! Cheers - Dai. p.s. We've got all the albums...

John - don't get mad, get even - the doctor says: juice a lemon, add boiling water, a tea-bag (preferably British Tea, of course!) and sugar. Take yourself, the mixture and a good measure of malt, to bed, and enjoy the rest..... Chin up, mate - you'll be right in no time! Best wishes and Cheers! - Dai. :???:

When I was about 8 years old, my gran took me to London Airport. We drove, with my uncle, down the old Bath Road, and went to the Europa Building (now known as Terminal 2). We watched the 'huge' aero-planes landing and taking off and I had an ice-cream (I think!). To cap the visit off, I was given one of those friction-motion toys - a model plane similar to a DC-3 - which was my favourite toy 'til it broke. A few years later, in 1959, my parents and I went to the Costa Brava - by a twin-engined Dakota - from Gatwick to Perpignan, and on to Spain by coach. The flight took 4 hours - we got a ma

Hi Simon - I think the trick with FSRecorder is to replay several recordings at the same time - so you get several A/Cs in the frame simultanously. Choose playback as AI and use the ctrl key to select as many recordings as you need. Now, it's not straightforward getting the recordings right, but if you start with the lead A/C and record the next A/C when playing back the lead A/C as AI, you can build up a 'formation' and, hey presto! Hope that helps..... Cheers, and thanks for the compliment! Dai. -

Leg 90a - Sightseeing in Athens!
ddavid replied to simi_av8r's topic in Around The World Challenge (ATWC)
Way to go, Simon - thanks for the post! Last time Pam and I were in Athens was 1972 (Sch-yeah!) and we 'did' the Acropolis ect. Travelled by train through the old Yogoslavia - border guards with sub-machine guns, compartment full of chickens in boxes, ect. Wonderful! Thanks for shakin' out the memories, Simon - and some good screen-shots too plus commentary - magic. Cheers - Dai. -
We see quite a lot of contrails here, in we(s)t Wales - even at this time of year - and it struck me recently that I'd not seen hardly any in FSX. That was until yesterday when, doing a bit of surveying for an up-coming ATWC leg, I was in 'top-down' mode (F12) over Corsica at around 50,000', when I noticed a bit of activity below. Slewing down to 30,000', this is what I found - a really big set of contrails: On further investigatio, I found this 'cluster' of AI A/C's: And in the lead: It's amazing, isn't it, all that activity, up there, and you never knew about it! No wonder you need

Here's a snippet from the IET about (ex) RAF Aberporth and its UAV's: I haven't heard any droning round here (Are you sure? Ed) but Pam's in London today..... Oh, and I'm not sure how my pals at Haverfordwest International (EGFE) are going to react to Aberporth's claim to be West Wales Airport (sneering and gnashing of teeth off.....) Cheers - Dai. :mrhappy:
