Help please! Totally New To Flight Sim - where / what
brett replied to mikebarden1's topic in General
Welcome Mike, These sites might help Explains the different versions of FSX and whats included http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_X Installation guide http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html I would also suggest to learn to fly the default Cessna C172 first before diving in with the older combat aircraft which can be a bit more difficult to control(IMO). FSX has a great Learning Center and tutorial style missions for starting on the basics. Half the fun is learning new things, Brett -
The runway is set up like a golf course with a slight dogleg right. Be cheaper to rent a truck and have Michael drive it over. Just have him wear a zippy hat to make it an airmail delivery.

Sounds like a regular everyday JAD flight.

Mr.B must have gotten into the Cold Duck cache

Some real good ones this week which makes it really tough to pick a winner. The shot was taken at Kennedy Airport so I was looking for a "New York state of mind" caption. This put Joe and Mike(H) in the running so I had to ask my wife to make the final decision(as always), sorry Joe but this weeks winner is Mike with: "I have'nt got all day, you back up, No you back up, I was here first. Anyway I am bigger than you." Thanks to Joe, the runner up and all the other entries that give me some good chuckle's this week. Over to you Mike......... -
Go to the map page and just click and drag your Beaver over a smidge. Go back to the flight and repostion it to where you would like to start the flight and save(in case you would like to fly the same flight again). This is the plane I fly in AH and its one of my favorites, enjoy.

Best wishes for a Happy Birthday and a Great Year ahead Joe.

Gee wiz, just wanted to have lunch and have a looksee at the operation. Didn't know I had to bring protection with me. I am very happy for Emily, she's a great gal. I'm sure she will be very happy with "No Layin" Lane.

Did the United States senator have contacts in the computer hardware business? -
Great series of fanastic shots and the scenery, along with some nice looking POI's in the landscape, made for an enjoyable couch flight. Always liked that Bonanza too, sweet paint job.

Great update Mike I mean..Ahh...Mr.B No longer am I treading water thank you but am buzzing along SkiDoo style. Lacey and I are keeping our noses to the grindstone and all that. Sounds like you are taking plenty of time for parties and vacations(just another word for )Where do you find the time for actual work? Happy to hear that things are back to normal, business wise at least and things are going smoothly for ya. Good idea keeping the Misses busy and away from the books. Congrats on the new bases and hires too! We should do lunch sometime
-
Ooops Sill looks good though.
-
The C-46 looks like it is part of the landscape, blends in very well. Like it belongs there. Nice shots.
-
I think the new paint looks great, both the C208B and the heli. You managed to keep the original concept in it and transform it to a more professional looking skin, great job. Nice update to boot! Now work that AI to within legal limits(good thing they get paid by the week and not the hour ) and get somemore cash rolling in.

New base looks great and I'm glad to hear the company is up and running again at full rpm's . Just happened that tonight I made an a emergency landing at Darrington and the folks around there told me you were over at the new base. Sorry I missed ya, next time. The C-46 is a great chubby old bird and if you take care of them they will return the favour. I would quess though that they had a different idea in those days about what the word streamlined meant.
