ddavid 149
Most of us remember GTA, Son-of-GTA, Mother-In-Law-of-GTA, etc so here's the chance to shine - yet again (No escape! - Ed). An easy one, to start with: And thanks to Captain Sim for making it possible! Cheers - Dai. P.S. A correct guess means you set the next challenge...

allardjd 1,853
Here you go, guys. No fancy scenery, just stock FS9. The airplane is not a clue. This place, like the last one is quite isolated. It's hundreds of miles from the nearest airport in any direction, though not quite as far from civilization as Diego Garcia. There's a fair amount of commercial traffic here, but the US Army Golden Knights happened to catch it when the WX was kind of crummy and there wasn't much moving besides them. rob16584 42
My initial thoughts were someone on the Florida Keys, but I don't think they fall into the 'hundreds of miles from the nearest airport' category

allardjd 1,853
Try looking for an island about 700 miles from the nearest mainland. It's an island/island group that is so small that there is only one airport. It's a large international airport but the nearest airport to it is literally almost 700 miles away. Nonetheless it is a well-known, affluent, civilized place and a popular vacation destination. I've been there, briefly. The Royal Navy was there - not briefly, but is no more. papeg 0
OK, This International airport sits in a desert valley. It has 3 runways and is at an elevation of 2643 feet. It's co-located with a US Air National Guard unit and is only 3.5 NM from a major US Air Force base. Greg
