  1. Your never to young to claim a senior moment
  2. I remember last years sale, unfortunatly.. I had bought the full C130 package the day before the sale was announced :001_th_smiles48: As for this year, I think I saw something on the PMDG forum that The Buff and the 707 were the only two models not included in the sale..
  3. Now that's one strange looking plane.. it could almost rival the Airbus Beluga in ugliness... not the paintjob though.. looks great considering what you had to work with :icon_thumbup:
  4. Your memory is definetly playing tricks on you... It was even you that posted the press release on March 22nd. :th_smiles73:
  5. For those interested, here's a demo of the HUGS/HUD in the PMDG release.. looks impressive I just wonder how hard this bird will be on the frame rate..
  6. Just found an interesting interview with one of the guys on the flight deck that day. http://www.aerosocietychannel.com/aerospace-insight/2010/12/exclusive-qantas-qf32-flight-from-the-cockpit/ An interesting read, plus some shots from the cockpit taken while limping back to Singapore.
  7. After some testing last night I think I managed to narrow it down to the Pre Recorded Chatter in RC. After turning that of in the RC settings I managed a full hour of flight without problems. Not in the same area or in the same plane, but during my test I did run into the same problem in different places and planes. Still have to hook up FSC9 though, havn't tried that yet.
  8. The snow is causing all sorts of trouble around the world.. this must have been quite a shock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxuxNLf87_Y
  9. Let's just say it was greated with mixed feelings in their forum :th_smiles73:
  10. We'll from looking at your answers you picked much of the best stuff already 1. Any of the FTX products I've tried 2. Netherlands 2000 3. Iceland X (I'm guessing judging by the shots. Havn't actually tried it out yet) 4. Carenado 208B 5. JF MD81-82 Jetliner
  11. I think it's based on the number of posts you've made, so keep posting and you'll get your promotion soon
  12. I have some bad luck on leg three. Once again every thing frooze on me, and I can't figure out what's wrong. At least I wasn't even halfway this time... FSX, RC and FSC9 hangs up completely, but there's no BSOD or CTD, so I think I can rule out hardware failure. Only problem is that since it doesn't crash whatever is causing it aren't throwing out an exception for the windows log to to display, so troubleshooting is a bit hard... Could possibly be that FSC9 and RC collide when trying to use FSUICP or something. But i've had no problems until last night... But I fear that the challange will
  13. PMDG have released the first external preview shot of the 737... well sort of anyway. Not sure on how to publish an image from facebook on the forum, but here's a link to it..
  14. ARS made more sence when I saw that you flew in from Oslo.. I was distracted by Joe's comment on Gatwick :th_smiles73:
  15. Great shot Peter.. But that umbrella drink on the table looks a bit out of place considering the weather
  16. Nice shot Rob. Now, decending into ESSA, that should put you somewhere around the TRS VOR, or possibly the ARS VOR if you came in from the west.. correct? As for plastering, I can't stand using it. On the last three home projects we've done we've used a "restore wallpaper". It's a 1 mm thick glasfibre sheet that you put up in the same manner as regular wallpaper. Evens out any small bumps on the wall leaving you with a very smooth surface, and you can paint or wallpaper right on top of it. Saves a bunch of time, plus you won't have the whole room full of dust from evening out the plaster.
  17. Indeed, but I was planning on doing some flying tonight anyway... might be able to sneak out from work a bit early too.. everyone have started to go into a christmas coma right now. :th_smiles73:
  18. :001_th_smiles48: In my defence it really didn't feel like a spam post... no strange links or anything... oh well.
  19. 5 Years.. :001_th_smiles76: And good to know we will have a friendly place to hang out for another 5 years. A big thanks to Joe for keeping this site running, and an other big thank you to every one that contributes to making this a great and entertaining place to visit. :icon_rockon: Have a big merry christmas, and a happy new year.
  20. Hi Tracy. We do our best to make our nowcommers feel welcome. So, :icon_welcomeani: to the Hangar.
  21. Well, it was still snowing when I got up this morning, but they must have been hard at work clearing the roads over night. Almost no snow on the road surface... So I had no choice but to get to work.
  22. Great video George. Looks like you have a real winter on your hands in the UK too. Up here in Stockholm it's been snowing all day, but not as hard as it looked on some of your shots. Not that I have really been paying much attention to the outside world with Biathlon and Cross Country relays on the television, and alot of FSX flying done in between. Mind you, we had a pretty good snow coverage to start with. So if I would guess we have about 30-40 cm on the ground right now. If we get another 10 cm over night I might be able to convince my boss that it's better to "work" from home tomorrow
  23. Great stuff Jack, even if a few of the photos were very blurry. That sky over keflavik was stunning. Now, remind me. Who was Sam in all of this, and where did Alain go?? Hopefully it will all come clear in the next part.

    Home Build PC

Correct, and depending on what type of socket you get of the I7 they have to be teamed up in pairs or three of a kind.
