Product Review New Review - FTX Walter Sutton's WA79
stu7708 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Very good looking scenery, and a good review. Might have to take a look at some OrbX scenery soon. They are still not present in my collection. -
I wish. FS global did a good job of making it look nasty to me. And that wasn't the worst video I found on YouTube.

The leg from ESNN (Sundsvall Härnösand) to EFHK (Helsinki Vantaa) is now complete. Check my blog for screenshots and more info on the challange.

Just saw a youtube video of the approach into Toncontin... looks like I have a tough landing in front of me.

I got a green light from Rob via PM, but I'll check back tonight in case there's a change to the plan.

Well, i'm five months in to fatherhood and enjoying almost every moment of it.... The little toddler we came home with from the hospital has grown in to a somewhat larger toddler and has mastered the art of flipping over from back to front and the other way around.. so, now he no longer stays where we put him down, but rather rolls around on the floor trying to reach interesting stuff.. by the looks of it he'll be crawling any day now (not sure if I'm really looking forward to that or not ). This is what he looks like as of last night.
-
If needed I'm willing to fly a second leg too, and to get things rolling I can in that case do the first leg, hopefully over the weekend.

Well, in my opinion the strangest "sim" of all came out way back in 1991 when Maxis did a Sim City spin off called SimAnt.
-
Great find. Will give it a try ASAP..

Hi Mut. Had a very busy weekend so I missed the bidding completly, but it looks like I might get a leg anyway. If still available I'll fly leg 049 (KFAY - KEWR) Cheers Micke

Anyone else using the JF MD81/82 ariliner?
stu7708 replied to stu7708's topic in Commercial Airliners
After a CTRL+E start I had the L & R AC BUS OFF message on the announciator, but not the R & L START DOOR OPEN message. I also did a new manual start up following the tutorial, and then the AC BUS OFF message wasn't there, so I must have done something wrong regarding the electrics in my first try. But the START DOOR OPEN was still present. -
Just one thing comes to mind. Ensure that the AES scenery layers are at the top of the scenery list (or atleast above all AES activated airports). But if AES was the last addon you installed that should already been taken care of...

I'll give it a try tonight. -
Like the title says I have one small problem with the MD81/82 from JF. I have followed the tutorial flight almost by the letter, but when I get to take off I still have two (or rather four since both of them are on both R & L side) messages left on the EOAP. It's "R & L AC BUS OFF", and "R & L START DOOR OPEN". Should they really be there, as far as I understand it should be empty if everything is set up correctly. To amend the AC BUS message I have tried to set the AC BUS X TIE switch in both positions, without success. I also tried resetting the L&R Generators. Any ideas

Is there nothing visible on screen at all? For me, the first time the window is opened (and that's done on start up, I don't need to manually open the window with CTRL+ ALT+W) all I see is a yellow line, so I have to resize the AES window before I have access to the different options.

NASA sure knows how to keep their planes clean

That's just horrible news. I can't even imagine how bad your feeling right now, but you have my deepest sympathies too. Take what ever time you need to get through the hard times, we will still be here when your ready to come back. Micke

Product Review New Review - NL2000 Freeware for FSX
stu7708 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Thanks for your kind words everyone, glad you liked what I managed to write down. I can certainly consider writing more reviews if I can manage to find the time for it as I really enjoyed writing this one. -
Interesting idea there John, and actually something I've been considering myself but utilizing my already existing laptop as a stand alone document reader. But considering the already almost full hard drive on it I might have to skip using PDFKneepad as I fear that a FS installation wouldn't fit on it, and just use good old Acrobat Reader for PDF-documents. One other idea I have is to use my Iphone instead, if I can find a good way to transfer files to it.

I would have been there, but unfortunatly I'm occupied by other things on saturday

Beautiful just doesn't cover what you videos are.. :hi: And I just love your selection of music. It adds tons to the overall feel of what your presenting.

That was one good looking plane, and some stunning shots. Loved the wing view on approach (3rd from the bottom). And as Rob said, the from my pocket shot was interesting. Good job getting us to Galapagos.

I too have been experiencing longer loading (or prehaps rendering) times after the update in IE. But using Google Chorme everything runs much faster. One reason for this could be that it feels like every section page contains more threads than in the old forum.. or is that just my bad memory at work.

Thanks everyone. The prize has been picked, and once it's available and downloaded you can expect some screenshots on the forum. Now it's on to picking out a sea plane for this months competition... Too bad the Catalina is already in the mix... -
wow.. that one almost gave me a case of vertigo!! Beautiful..
