Great PIREP Joe If you spot some charges on the Hangar Giza Card along the lines of 'lifelike wig' and some very pricey lipstik, you can bet it'll be mine. Can't risk being recognised by those who would see the baton fall into the hands of "Others".. Didn't like the brunette look anyway, and one of my jobs earlier this year got me into a bit of trouble with the airline management following my cabin announcement, so best i keep a low profile after i get to Uluru http://

Love it.. some serious sick bag moments there on approach (can it still be called that????) Great PIREP Chuck, and nice choice of the Sentinel. -
NIce one Chuck Your buzzing the boat made me laugh... had to imagine Simon Cowell or some other slightly irritating and noteworthy gazillionaire being scared S**t-less by that one

Andrew, thats one poor excuse to say that you are a "man from a land down under".. Shocker! Already on my way south for my legs. How on earth did i manage to pick one with a MTOW of a couple of packs of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts...
-
Welcome to the forums and to ATWC David.. thats a cracking PIREP to start off I feel for you with the system issues; been there countless times too and it's frustrating. Hope you get the problems ironed out before your next leg... I'll warn you that ATWC is addictive

Hope you got the baton as planned Joe.. Pierre has pulled some strings with people in [very] high places and I am now back safe in the UK, my pilots licence is still intact, and apart from having some MAJOR making up to do with my long suffering husband, I'm looking forward to the next set of legs; I'd better get moving before they all get snaffled! -

Was a great show, although now I look back at the pics, i realise that i spent far too much time enjoying myself than taking photos Here are a few more... The ProSim 737 stand was an interesting one.... although i resisted the temptation to bounce around like a maniac till i was given a free cuddly plane gonk! Nice set up at the Skalarki stand Joe, Tim, and the 'guru' from FIP Guages. Fab guy.Check out the review here: http://www.mutleyshangar.com/reviews/jg/bs-fip/bs-fip.htm Jess as photogenic -

Andrew, that was one incredible piece of narrative, escapology, and 'rescue'. I hope that I proved all your valuable instruction was worth it.. you are a legend! My friend is currently being 're-branded' as we speak, and grateful beyond words.. I think she may pop up again some time in the future given her 'connections' -

I'm here... or rather i'm not here... I have the baton! safe and sound, if still a bit sticky from its pervious encounter with the Mars Bar.. I can't tell you where I am holed up, given that the safety of the baton is paramount. Joe - you need to let me know who i need to make contact with before i have to ask Pierre to square away my 'kidnap' from Cambodia [ Andrew, owe you more than one, as does my friend.. need to resurrect my identity with Pierre before i lose my pilot creds, lol] In the meantime, the baton is safe with me -
If you can just 'hang' off something it works wonders. In the UK we have 'Open' stairs in houses and i used to hang upside down on mine. Did wonders for my spine ;-)

Casts a whole new light on the phrase "Geeeet orrff my laaaand" .. or should that be "Geeeet oooot my airrrr"

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare! Hope you get things sorted out.. especially after having spent 40 quid on something you can't 'return. Keep us all posted

I spotted this guy at the show, and actively avoided him. Having a camera on a long stick would have been handy though.. I struggled to get any photos without people photo bombing. Shame they were so 'selective' with their coverage.

Wow John, that's some great detective work and very ivery nteresting to read Hey, you weren't a tin-kicker in a previous life were you?
-
Thanks for the kind comments everyone It was great to get back into flying after a while away, and the ATWC is a great way to do it. Yup.. absolutely no chance if me ever bunjee jumping ever again

Looks like 520 people on an Air France A380 are breathing a sigh of relief after the Number 4 engine fan 'separated'. The flight diverted to Canada and landed safely, but the photos of the damage show how lucky they all were, and what a sturdy aircraft the A380 is. https://avherald.com/h?article=4af15205

This day in history.. 1958 Aquila Airways, the last British flying-boat operator, cancels its Southampton to Maderia service and closes its doors. Aquila was well known for flying the Short Sunderland, Short Solent and Solent Sandringham from my neck of the woods, Southampton. Sadly after the end of WW2, water based operations were deemed too retrictive for airlines, who concentrated on making use of the ex military airfields.

2015 was an incredible show.. blimey you and Tim are going to be rushed off your feet so don't worry if you don't manage to get many pics.. A couple of selfies for the hangar post would be great. -
I was beginning to think I had made a really rash decision… It wouldn’t be the first time I’d agreed to something that I would kick myself for later, even if I was going to get a certificate and a photo that I could shock my Instagram and Facebook friends with for years to come… that is, if I could walk forward 2 paces. So far, the cajoling of the ‘Jump Master’ the huffing and tutting from those in the queue behind me were not having the desired effect. On a beautiful Macau morning with the temperature already into the high 20’s, the slight breeze at 233 me
