Just in time for those Spring time jobs, Agri-Sim have announced a new add-on for Trac-Sim X. Yes - it's a Mini Digger!!: Weighing in at 1.5 tonnes, it performs well with it's 75 Din air-cooled turbo-diesel. Agri-Sim have done well to produce an excellent VC: The controls are straightforward but an extra joy-stick controller is advised for best results. Full animations are available - but you will need a DX-10 compatible OS/GPU: And to complete the set, the Mini Digger comes with a trailer to go behind a suitable 4-WD: The Land-Rover shown can be down-loaded from AGSIM - just searc

On continuing my research into "nose-jobs", I found this from WW2: Looks like the Luftwaffe were ahead of the game, even in 1940...... Cheers - Dai.

Thanks for the tour, Rob - been a while since I've been in The Smoke - grew up in Greenwich when the Naval College was still the, ummm, Naval College! Best pint in London in The Plume of Feathers and wonderful saveloys in the chip shop just opposite the Slipper Baths..... Nice to see the old places - Aerosoft have done a pretty good job, haven't they? Hey - Boss - looking forward to that review on Manhatten! Is the Statue odf Liberty really green?!? Cheers - Dai.

Isn't there a problem of losing a gig of your 4G ram when you have the 9800x2, Joe? Cheers - Dai.

I'm glad you were in the left hand seat for that landing, Marcus - excellent work, my Captain. And thanks for taking over the flight - well done! :dance2: Cheers - Dai. <-- even in a cross wind!!! -
I'm not sure that FSX will use more than 2 cores (don't quote me) so 4 or 7 cores may not help you. Then it depends on the processor's clock, in which case you'd be better off with the highest spec (over-clocked) Core-2-Duo. But then the i7 is a really formidable beast and it would be great to build one, eh? (See last week's Micro Mart). Mind you, I'm prob'ly wrong...... :dance2: Cheers - Dai.

I found this interesting as I'm considering a 64-bit Vista OS for my next pootah: http://www.dansdata.com/askdan00015.htm I don't understand all the detail but it reminds me of when I used to be involved in system design back in the days when..... (soft snoring off) Cheers - Dai. :dance2:

Ah - so that's what traffic is! Thanks for an excellent overview - and your personal slant. :dance2: Cheers - Dai.

You probably remember some crazy landings from me, like this: And this: Well, it seems that it's catching on - see the latest PC Pilot! Here's page 91: And in more detail: Looks like the Hangar's leading the way - as usual! :dance2: Cheers - Dai.

Good flight, Marcus - you've reminded me that I haven't been to The Isle of Wight since I used to go there on holiday when I was a kid - it's a grand place. The default scenery had me confused but I guess you were in the vicinity of the Needles and Alum Bay? Thanks for sharing... Cheers - Dai.

Hi Pedro - see the latest edition of PC Pilot for an excellent run-down of the aircraft.cfg file. Cheers - Dai.

Hey, if Joe can't do it I'll put out an emergency call for "Q"...... Not had this degree of emergency before in either ATWC - well done Cap'!!! Cheers - Dai.

Sorry, Pedro - as (I think) all these ACs are AI, I can't help - my PC is so poor, I only use the built in FSX AI - and that sparingly. Maybe one of the others can help? C'mon guys - give us a hand here, e?!? Cheers - Dai.
