  1. Well I couldn't get yours to post here but here it is from my server:- ""
  2. Deleted...as the method I was trying to use did not work for your post.
  3. Dai, I seem to remember that they had gone out of fashion by the time the Lightning had arrived, but I did have a reasonable one a few years earlier:-
  4. If you just post an URL then you just get the URL like this:- http://www.petermcleland.com/misc/LightningCourse.jpg But if you put the img TAG in square brackets at the front of the URL and the /img TAG in square brackets at the end then you get the picture like this:-
  5. I walked and climbed for a while at Juneau...Here are three shots:- Thanks for looking BTW...I'm flying this tour VFR and using the Map App on my iPad...I have it in front of me on a keyboard shelf and orientate the map by just turning the iPad. As I fly down a route I just drag with a finger to move the map along or use two fingers to zoom in or out. The mapping is Google's satellite imagery and I'm finding that MS Flight is very accurate
  6. Alaska in MS FLIGHT...These shots are from the small area surrounding the location of my airfield in FS9, so I guess only those who have flown from McLeland Field will be familiar with this terrain:- This little island with a bit of beach is in the bay at the end of the Russell Fjord where my base in FS9 used to be. Anyone who flew from my airport will recognise those mountains, but might miss the windfarm. Taking off now to look at familiar sights. The water in the bay is now very beautiful. There is Mountain Lake...Notice that the trees all have shadows! ...and here is Ru
  7. Each to his own Mike...You do it your way and I'll do it mine
  8. Well I think it qualifies John...Mine doesn't go as fast as 120 kts in level flight...At 90% power I get about 92 knots. If I want more than 120 kts then I have to goto 100% and dive a bit...stall speed seems about right and I'm not sure about the weight but I don't go overweight when I refuel. I would say the performance is pretty realistic.
  9. Not very long Brett...I'm sure I would have pulled or pushed the wings off by now...But that is part of the thrill of Flight Simulation...Flying lower and harder and faster than you would in real life...Another nice thing is that I can do it without wearing a G suit
  10. I disagree...I find that flying in MS Flight is the most realistic and satisfying experience that I have ever got from Flight Simulation...And this is from a GAME!! As an ex Ground Attack fighter pilot of twelve years experience, I enjoy using this product intensely and I just know that Alaska is going to be sensational I admit that if you are keen on flying a tube full of pax, there is not much for you, but I did that for 22 years in real life and I was a Fighter Pilot first and so small aircraft with few seats are my forte and preferably close to the ground. Flying the tubes just reminds m
  11. Well basically it is really photographic...MS have found a way to import satellite and photo imagery into a Flight Sim that is way superior to anything previously produced and without the performance hit that previous photo scenerys caused. I believe that it is by far the best ever scenery so far and I can hardly wait to get Alaska...quite honestly the Hawaian Islands and Alaska to this high accuracy will suit my Flight Simulation needs and I just love the Icon as well...If I was going to buy a real aeroplane, it would be the Icon.
  12. I have wondered how accurate the scenery is in MS Flight and I just landed at Kahului airport on Maui...I set the view to overhead and took a screenshot then I went to the same place in Google Map on my iPad and took another screenshot. here they are for comparison:- I am very impressed with the accuracy. Thanks for looking
  13. Well that seems to work and I've edited and now the "Long Link" (which turns out to be a shorter link!) does give the necessary Icons after you have started it playing...Thanks Joe I'll go and fix it elsewhere.
  14. While I was rendering this video I studied the scenery...I came to the conclusion that this Scenery, Aircraft and Flight Dynamics are the best I have ever seen in any Flight Simulator straight out of the box. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking If the software on this forum prevents you watching in full screen and you want to see my video in full screen then click on the bottom external link under my signature banner to go to my channel and watch this video from there...YouTube gives you the
  15. I imagine that I got a bruised bum and a deflated ego from this flight! But I did get the Aerocache This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  16. I thought I would use this new paint for today's Aerocache. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  17. This is the solution to capturing that elusive Aerocache that got me killed twice in my last video. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  18. Here are a couple of successful aerocaches followed by two disasterous failed attempts at another. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  19. This is a spin in the Icon of MS Flight...I had a lot of extra height as I had been up to a volcano caldera at over 13000 feet, so I decided to get rid of the surplus altitude to get onto my approach to land. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  20. You can have a LOT of fun with the Icon A5...This video just shows me doing that by trying to imitate a Seagull. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  21. No Dai...Didn't know it had one...How do you operate it?
  22. This video is designed to show off the Star of Microsoft's Flight...The wonderful simulation of Sea. There is however, a Loop and a Roll from the Co-Star, the ICON A5, right at the end of the video. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  23. Here is a little more Icon flying on a very beautiful sea. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  24. On the contrary John...Watch as the bank is deliberately increased by me to 90 degrees over the water...I did it to get down a bit and it worked immediately with the nose falling as well as the vertical component of the lift vanishing...I very quickly had to get that bank off again to level much closer to the water (I just did it the once, soon after switching to chase view and then to the free camera with view from a more elevated position that chase). I think the flight dynamics are superb...unlike the original flight dynamics of FS9 and FSX where I very quickly stopped using the MS aircraft
