  1. This is the Skymaster C337H at McLeland Field. Sorry about the Airfield...It is waiting for new Terminal Buildings. The video runs for four and a half minutes and is best viewed with the Quality clicked up to 1080p and the Full Screen icon at bottom right corner clicked. Thanks for looking
  2. You don't get much colour change in the pine trees in Alaska but I noticed these pleasing colour changes on the hilltops today:- Turf Green with "Hell's Gate" ravine. McLeland Field. Thanks for looking
  3. Thanks John...I'm pleased with progress. BTW...I did use the Airfield Background polygons (2) to exclude the Autogen.
  4. I've been continuing my work on this in P3D and I've taken a few shots today to show progress:- Marine Services is now back and it is just as well that it is built on stilts, as the water has moved back a bit in P3D. I've swept up all the weeds and the float plane docks are back and also the seagulls. The Whales in Russell Fjord are back and also all the Marine lights, buoys and beacon towers. This seagull is pushing his luck! I have now managed to get real water into my "Hell's Gate" ravine...I was unable to do that in FS9 and just painted it. Gerrish's trees had to go as th
  5. I don't think simple exclusion rectangles will work in FSX or P3D will they?...They have already had exclusion rectangles applied but they were made in FS9 and there you could specify to exclude Autogen... I think I need to do a polygon airfield background in ADE and specify Flatten and Exclude Autogen. Would you agree John?
  6. Found this neglected old place... ...with all these weeds and junk lying around... ...even the odd clapped out vehicles. The rich men's houses over there at Turf Green seem to be in good order. I couldn't resist cleaning up the brass plate before I left. Farewell for now but obviously the old place needs a bit of TLC! Thanks for looking
  7. I think it is Light Support structures John. BTW...Those people move about in this scenery and the real airport is ramped like that.
  8. This scenery does test my machine really...It would do better on a 64bit OS that could access more memory. Thanks for looking
  9. You can have bathy unticked but the slider above it refers to reflections and you can have it to Everything...The slider below refers to Refraction and that goes up to Everything but it will be greyed out when you untick the Bathys box.
  10. I already have the bare runway and approaches of McLeland Field and I will see about putting in the AFCAD and if that goes well then I will experiment with the rest. As you say at this stage we don't know about compatibility in V2, but I will be very surprised if it loses any. BTW...I think you can fly the real thing with those doors open...that should fix your claustrophobia!
  11. Did some flying today at this charming little airfield:- The people move in this scenery and it really adds to the experience. The Scenery is Freeware to owners of the ORBX Pacific North West scenery. Thanks for looking
  12. I got it all properly migrated, including Bowerman with its moving people:- Thanks for looking
  13. John...Go Options > Settings > Display > Scenery > Bathymetrics > Slider to full right (Everything)
  14. I fixed the reflections...It WAS just a setting
  15. De Haviland Beaver landing at Sitka, Alaska. Best viewed with the Quality clicked up to 1080p and the Full Screen icon at bottom right corner clicked. Thanks for looking
  16. OK...I fixed it now with the help of someone called "masterhawk"...The Ocean is back now
  17. It is Tongass Fjords for FSX and it looks normal in my FSX with the Ocean around Sitka.
  18. I got the FSX Beaver working nicely in P3D today and took a few pics at Sitka:- Here is the Beaver...It was reluctant to turn in the water but a made a few adjustments and it seems OK now. The reflection shows a lack of buildings on the foreshore and there should be parts of the floats showing. Lifting the camera a little cause the aircraft reflection to vanish. Again there are no buildings reflecting. The wake and spray looks very good. Unstuck... ...and the reflection recaptured by lowering the camera angle. Here it is from ahead but note the lack of buildings in the reflec
  19. Thanks Joe, The answer is in picture one...You can see that the reflection on the right of the picture is seeing the hills that you can see above it...To the left of the picture, the reflection is showing the hills behind the buildings. It is not seeing the buildings or the boats! This is of course incorrect and I suspect that it is some sort of mathamatical error involving refraction angle...I have noted that if you look at the aeroplane's reflection and then raise the elevation of the camera, at some point the reflection vanishes.
  20. Here is the A2A Cub at Sitka in P3D:- The flying seems very realistic with the climb being very slow...I would like just a few more horsepower, but I bet every J-3 pilot says that! Thanks for looking
  21. Thanks for the recommendation Joe...I will look into it today
  22. The scenery is Orbx Pacific NorthWest
  23. I got this for P3D today:- It is the first aeroplane I have bought from Carenado and I find it flies very nicely. Thanks for looking
  24. Continuing my Seaplane Base tour of Kodiak Island:- Unsticking from Port Bailey and... ...climbing away. Crossing back over Port Bailey as we... ...set course for San Juan - Uganik. I won't climb up over this lot and... ...will weave about... ...as necessary. There is my destination ahead but I won't land in this direction but will position to... ...approach into wind. Smoothly down and... ...now safely beached. I can see some gently breaking water over there so I will walk over and... ...get a shot of it...Really need video to show the movement. Here
