Yeah Graham the new one is the Mk V. @Joe - as my mam always said, "you can never have too many P-51's in your hangar" .............. well at least i think it went something like that anyway :th_smiles73:
-
Now that would work - putting a freeware aircraft in your hangar isn't too much trouble - as long as it's in your hangar you'll see it in multi-player (or so it seems - I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination), a couple of Shackletons flying with some Hurricanes for company could be good fun :wootmesalia: Might need someone with good bandwidth for hosting purposes if we can muster up a few pilots

It was indeed a pleasure and made a pleasant change from flying alone. Nice to be able to chat on Teamspeak whilst flying. Once we got the hang of joining up we managed to do a patrol over the North Sea up to Berwick and then back down to Newcastle. The Hurricane was a very pleasant aircraft to fly. I was really surprised how smooth it was with me hosting the flight.

Great pics and some very nice interior scenery

Good luck Alan, best wishes for a speedy recovery after the op -
Thanks for the link SEATAC, a very interesting article indeed, talk about pressure!!!

As suggested by many Mutley's members they basically improve the experience immensely. It's so much better than the twist on the stick. Obviously I've only had them a couple of days but having the pedals means I'm not trying to do three things on the stick when taxiing. Particularly the A2A Spitfire, I can now just hold the stick back to keep the very light tail on the ground and use the pedals for braking and rudder control. Highly recommended but still behind TrackIR if you have to choose. It's the thought that counts John and I appreciate the fact that you looked anyway so a big

Thanks for looking John. I think I've solved it. In FSX the sensitivity setting for the CH Pedals Controller was down around 50% for the left and right brake, when I moved it to 100% the brakes fully applied and fully released. The pedals now seem to be working as they should.
-
I've set-up the pedals as per instructions but at present (even after calibrating with CH Control Manager) the brakes remain partially on even when released. For example in the A2A Spitfire if I press the brakes and release they don't go to the same position ie fully off as they do when I pull the parking brake and release via cockpit controls. I'm confused now tbh, there are a few instances of this mentioned on different forums but atm I don't know how to fix it.

I have just found this scenery over on OZx. I think it has been around for a while but I'm not sure. I love Italy and in particular the Tuscany Region where I have been on holiday the last two years flying in to Pisa airport which appears well modelled in the scenery. It certianly looks very nice from the screenshots. The download is just over 1GB though. OZx Tuscany There is also a review here AVSIM Freeware Tuscany North Review

Well my CH Pro Pedals have arrived and I set them up late last night - well actually I plugged them in and windows said everything was fine. I haven't had much time to look into the set-up which seemed simple but I have a problem with the brakes. The brakes are on even when I don't touch the pedals. The brief look I had at the set-up didn't seem to mention any calibration. Could well be just another schoolboy error on my part and as I said I haven't really had the chance to look into it properly but just wondered if anyone else had any initial problems of this nature? Edit - seems I may need

Great shots Joe, nice scenic views. It's a strange looking aircraft, does it fly well?
-
Yeah this is the UK2000 VFR Airfields version of the dump. You noticed I didn't mention you know where!!!!

Nice shot - well done

The location of my rig and the times I get to fly or game mean I pretty much have to wear a Headset all of the time. I currently own a Medusa Speed Link Home Edition 5.1 Headset with mic which has seen better days and just wondered if anyone can recommend a reasonably priced, good quality and most importantly comfortable Headset suitable for FSX (although it must double up as a gaming headset rather than a dedicated flying headset). I have looked at the Logitech G35 as a couple of friends have these but they seem a little overpriced with mixed reviews. Any suggestions?

Strange what you find at the zoo these days Interesting though. BTW Didn't they do "Say cheese for the camera" when you were at school :th_smiles73:

I tried the Spitfire at Launeston and was getting around 20 -24 FPS on the ground just before and during take-off, immediately away from the airport it was up into the 40's. The only difference between the set-ups is GEX from what I can recall.

Just the flight nothing else My treat was a gift voucher for an hour long trial lesson in a Piper PA 28 161 Warrior at Northumbria Flying School and I'm so looking forward to it. My other treat is a set of CH Pro Pedals so no more twisty stick stuff for me

Just some shots of a very short trip from Newcastle EGNT to Durham Tees Valley EGNV. The shots feature Horizon Photo Scenery version 3, REX Overdrive, UK2000 Newcastle Extreme and VFR Airfields and last but certainly not least my favourite aircraft by some way at the minute, the A2A Simulations Spitfire with Accusim (just love flying it). Newcastle Extreme series in all it's glory in the background This is so accurate - I was at Northumbria Flying School (just off to the right) for my sons first flying lesson Awaiting clearance And we're off Approaching the mouth of the Tyne On

Thanks gents, I've been sporting a T-Shirt, which seems to reflect a little of what the wife would like and a little of what she thinks, I'll let you work out which is which!!!!!

Well spotted Joe, picked it up myself from "The Works" Washington Thanks for the recommendation Alan

The only thing I noticed was the birthdays seem to have gone. At least I think it has I only noticed for purely selfish reasons as i didn't see it yesterday I've been so upset ever since - no Mutley's Birthday greetings Personally I like the new set-up
-
Haven't tried the Spitfire down there yet but I will. However I'm pretty certain FRAPS is the killer here, it kills the FPS, that's why a lot of video makers use FS Recorder then FRAPS the recorded footage, but I still haven't managed to get FS Recorder working correctly. Try it again mate but without FRAPS and see what happens. Nice try with the video mate, it was all looking so good as well

You are probably right, I've got lots of planes where I haven't really managed to clock up any where near enough flying hours. That said I do like what A2A have done with their Accusim products, maybe I'l hold off until later .............................. maybe Saturday The birthday pressies (read cash) has allowed the pedals to be ordered
