As I'm still a fledgling FSX Pilot I don't have lots of scenery. So far I've concentrated my set up on the UK with the Horizon Scenery plus Treescapes and VFR Airfields. All appear to be working well with the priority setup I have within FSX. Last night I downloaded and added the ORBX Tasmania free demo so this is now priority 1 but this has me wondering before I start branching out further how much does the priority matter. If I'm flying in the UK which I currently do most of the time should I uncheck other scenery for example in this case Tasmania and/or should I lower the priority or do

Now I'm really curious as to what you do with all of them Some are obvious others less so :o When I think how many little (and big) hints and tips I've picked up in various topics here at Mutley's some in obvious place others like this one in not so obvious places it's quite amazing.

Thanks Joe, that's the one I thought, Graham confused me with saying the Word version. I have mine set to open with Notepad also. I actually created a shortcut to the FSX.cfg on my desktop for easy access.
-
Thanks Joe . That worked a treat, once I found the right file that is (it has to go into the "WORD" file, and not the note pad one, like I tried first ). Cheer's...Graham... Oh does it, I put it into the normal FSX.cfg file that's hidden away!!

Thanks sabre,I Take it that is Washington CD just down the road from me Yep - just a very very short hop :icon_thumbup:

The real short answer is yes there's a point - get it :icon_thumbup: As the others have said you can scale it to suit. You won't regret getting it for one minute.

Just some shots of my new DC 2 at the also new Newcastle Xtreme offering from UK2000. Bit of a sun shower on the first couple

OOOOOHHH I'm more than tempted at that price :001_th_smiles76: Note to self, must stop spending, must stop spending, must stop .........

Superb shots, looks absolutely beautiful. :001_th_smiles76: Which specific scenery packages are you using from OZX and ORBX?

I would just like to say that I have had the pleasure of being on "teamspeak3" with Graeme! and he sounds just like that :D . Cheer's...Graham... I think some of the real Yorkshiremen on here will wholeheartedly disagree

These are shots from Knottingley in Yorkshire, probably breaching all kinds of rules here, but all in a good cause :wootmesalia:

Nice shots with and without the smoke

Lovely shots, especially the last one and thanks to your recommendation I now have this aircraft in my hangar :icon_thumbup:

Thanks so much for the insight, really appreciate it. Not sure it's worth the money from what you've said. I've been looking at aircraft similar to this, also looked at the Just Flight DC3. Are there any others worth looking at?

I was considering buying this, what don't you like about it? Nice paint job anyway, good job. :001_th_smiles89:

Congratulations a great shot and a worthy winner :icon_thumbup:

Once again excuse my ignorance but is it simply a case of unchecking the box for Newcastle in the "options.exe" I've decided it's time to start the latest spending spree :wootmesalia:

This looks great, particularly since it's my most local airport. How does the Xtreme series work in conjunction with UK2000 VFR Airfields?

Nice job Joe, great screenshots and music. A nice touch with the logo, how did you add that, maybe something you can put in the downloads so we can use it for promo?? Nice video :icon_rockon:

Excellent Graham, great job I really enjoyed it very restful and calming and a nice touch at the start. Good job mate, well done and here's to many more. :icon_thumbup: :icon_thumbup:

I've uploaded the extended version of the video, you'll have to excuse the music edit it's not the most subtle The music is a bit of a lottery, YouTube are not the best at communicating issues, they always wait until after the event. Stay away from any music where Warners have the rights it will almost certainly get pulled. It's pot luck, this video has a copyright flag but no action needed, they like sending you messages. Also they like waiting until you upload something before telling you it's too long!! There's a 15 minute limit for most users. Be warned though if you start using Fr

Thanks Graham. Just used Windows Movie Maker. I know what you mean about the timing. I fit the number of shots to the music, so I should have either reduced the number of shots or extended/changed the music.

Another series of screenshots set to a little music (Home by Thirteen Senses). This is my first real attempt at a flight plan using Plan G, it was also my first attempt at flying VOR’s which I’m rather pleased to say was a success. The flight starts at my favourite little airfield Carlisle and takes me into the lowlands of Scotland via Calkin Rig towards the TALLA VOR (pretty much parallel to the A74(M) for the motorists). At the Talla and Megget Reservoirs the flight heads west onto the TURNBERRY VOR over Kirkland Hill and on to the coast. It’s then south down the west coast with some really

Thanks Joe. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong, as the free JF download of RAF Coningsby http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=279 just will not work on my system, if you want to take off from there or look at it from the air, the runway is "FLASHING" on and off badly? not sure what I could do to fix it so I deleted it!, all the other freeware at justflight works fine though, anyone have any ideas of what the problem may be? Cheer's...Graham... Graham, didn't you install a free runway and taxiway addon previously, maybe there's compatibllity issue with that?
