Hey Buddy. Tried it without fraps running, and I still only got 14fps at Launeston airport, also tried it with the Realair Spit and it was still very low, although once you get away from the airport things do speed up to the normal rate!. Will have to try cutting down on the autoGen a bit to see if that helps. It also could have somthing to do with the GEX textures that I installed the other day (GEX does say that it may cause conflicts with some of the FTX North American scenery, not sure how it could effect the Taz scenery though??? ). Finished Sept Theme = My Favourite Aircraft!
PanzerFodder replied to mutley's topic in Screenshot Contests Archive
Looks like this will be a good contest this month, I'm looking forward to seeing what all the other Guys spend most of their FS time flying. After a lot of picking around of my older (and some newer) screen shots, I have picked the three below as my favourites  My All Time Favourite Aircraft, The Dornier Do-27 (think this is my favourite shot of all time as well ) My Favourite Plane this week is the A2A P47 Thunderbolt (this plane could soon jump to my no1 spot though?, if I can ever get the engine to start up again! that is? LOL  ) Another plane that I'm enjoying ATM -
Very nice Charlie. What type of system are you running to be able to get shots like these? Cheer's...Graham...

I took my girl to the zoo a couple of days ago, and blow me! if we didn't find a area dedicated to bush flying in Canada. :wootmesalia: Ok!, so it's not a spectacular display, but I thought it was very interesting and a nice break from looking at the animals all day long . Me and my Girl, waiting for mummy to find out what button to press! (plane in the background is not operational, it looks like a scraper that has been done up for the exibit) (BTW: I must try leave the P47 alone, and to go to bed earlier at night ) Cheer's...Graham...

Just the flight nothing else My treat was a gift voucher for an hour long trial lesson in a Piper PA 28 161 Warrior at Northumbria Flying School and I'm so looking forward to it. My other treat is a set of CH Pro Pedals so no more twisty stick stuff for me Very nice shots. Way to go "Old Timer" Cheer's...Graham...

I dedicate my first ever video to Sabre (Just so that you can see what your getting yourself into on Saturday ) ( I also wanted to try out the fraps demo, so don't expect to much from this one! ) To save a load of bother, I started recording at the engine fire up stage BTW: The scenery was the FTX Tazmania demo at Launeston airport, for some reason I got very poor FPS (only about 14 fps) in the A2A P47! . Have you ever tried your Spitfire here? just thought I would mention that as I know you wanted to get some of the FTX scenery and your system is about the same spec as mine

Finished Aug Theme = Get Spooky!

Great shot, well done I just saw a TV program about the HO 229 last week, a very interesting aircraft that was set to change the course of history if they had been able to get it into production in time, and it didn't help when the main test pilot was killed in a crash due to one of the engines failing. Oh difficult choice, but for me Track-IR would come before the pedals. The immersion and smoothness of movement Track-IR gives cannot be simulated by a hat switch in my opinion. Plus I think it helps you get the full benefit of the virtual cockpits that A2A produce. The obvious answer is buy both - however if you do please give me a couple of days notice so I can make-up the spare room for you Track-IR first and pedals a close second in my opinion. There he goes again, "Getting me to buy stuff". Agree with you about the Track IR coming first, and it's now at the top of my sho

Looks like your getting to be a bit of an Accusim addict m8y . I can just see you sitting at the clinic and saying, "My Name is Sabre! I haven't bought a new plane for at least 24 hours" BTW: Please be warned the Thunderbolt is a big heavy plane that has been simulated very well by A2A, it may be a bit of a shock to the system for a spitfire pilot like you but it's one heck of a lot of fun to fly, just have to watch your landing as if you use to much flap and get bellow stall speed! it's very hard to recover from and most times I end up hitting the ground like a sack of spuds :o . Very nice indeed. I use a couple of the overdrive textures as well, but now that I have seen your sunsets, I think that I'll try out a few more of them BTW: did you use fraps to make the video? Cheer's...Graham...

Thank's for all the advice Guys. Looks like the CH pedals will be the one's to go for, although now I have got the A2A accusim plane I am wondering if I should get Track-IR first, and then add the pedals at a later date! . Cheer's...Graham...

Thanks for the Replys. Glad that you all liked the video, I wonder what kit they use to make it look so good? Agree that the sound is fantastic with Accusim I think the engine sounds a bit like two monkeys having a fight in a dustbin with baseball bats, thought I was having engine trouble when I first heard it . Bet I'll get a few hits in this thread with a title like that OK so after stumbling on the video at the end of this post, and also with Sabre babbling on at me about how great his A2A Accusim planes are, I decided to bite the bullet and get one myself. I got the A2A P47 Razorback, (very expensive, but to hell with it! I can't take it with me when I croak anyway "LOL") just praying that the wife doesn't find out before I've sorted out the credit card for this month Here she is warming up on the runway at Southampton First flight was out over the English Channel, that seemed very fitti

REX, GEX, UTX, and a bit of WOAI as well
PanzerFodder replied to PanzerFodder's topic in Screenshots
I agree with you on that one m8y, those photo scenery files do take up a lot of disk space :icon_yikes: You can download the Jaguar paint from here http://iblueyonder.com/freeware/ he also has a few nice Carenado 208 repaints you may want as well . Looks like the GEX textures have no effect in the Alps! snow and rock textures look the same as the default FSX stuff. Cheer's...Graham... -

PanzerFodder replied to PanzerFodder's topic in Screenshots
Thanks for the comments Guys, and please let me know if you find any freeware scenery for Dublin airport, as I'm looking for some as well . Thought that I would have a look at Slovakia and Greece today, must say I'm quite impressed with the GEX/UTX/REX combination so far, more screen shots of both those places are below. The first three shot are over Slovakia in the Jaguar Bonanza. And now for Southern Greece Looks like greedy developers have slapped up a block of flats right in the middle of the Coliseum in the shot below!. Cheer's...Graham... -
Nice shots Joe. Last time I saw Chesil Beach, there were anglers all over it! (and I was one of them "LOL" :icon_thumbup: ) Cheer's...Graham...

Hi All Just got GEX-Europe "tonight " I was keen to try it out and thought that Dublin Ireland would be a good bet to show off the new textures as I don't have any scenery for this area yet. I also had UTX-Europe, REX2 running as well, and World of AI was doing a good job adding aircraft to the airport . Right then lads, Follow me!. This looks like the line up at my local fish and chip shop on a Friday night Here you can see the UTX roads and GEX textures working together. (Dublin airport in the background) The following shots were made North of Dublin, . Cheer's.

Hi Guys. I have decided that I want to buy some rudder pedals and have seen these CH Products Pro Pedals do you think that they are good, or would I be better off getting something else?. I don't really want to buy any of the plastic junky looking ones and am willing to spend a bit of money on pedals that will last for a good few years . Cheer's...Graham...

nice shots Charlie. :001_th_smiles76: The plane in the first one looks like it's had a bit of a beating at some point, is it one of your own repaints?. Cheer's...Graham...

Northern England 3 day Tour (photo slide show)
PanzerFodder replied to PanzerFodder's topic in Screenshots
Thanks for the comment Brian, and thanks again for sending the software over to Canada as it's almost impossible to find here :001_th_smiles89: . I bought UTX Europe as a download from Flight1 a couple of weeks ago, and have discovered that is you have the "UTX night lighting" above your photo scenery in the "FSX Scenery Library" it gives you traffic lights and street lighting. I think this enhances the photo scenery a whole lot when flying at night . (would think this idea will work with the Horizon scenery as well?). Added a couple of screen shots to show you what I mean.
