I fear the hand of Putinfeld was in this but not in the aircraft con! I am more worried about your bag, nothing stolen, but clearly someone had searched it. The question is why was it gone through?** Mind you, Who knows what a dodgy dealer like your aircraft conman might do. Could it have been him? Great couple of Pireps Kieran! But I think the game is afoot! At least you got a receipt for Mutley. ** When I was young, back in the mid '80s my newly acquired wife and I went backpacking around Europe. We dipped behind the Iron Curtain to visit Budapest. We

First time I watched this I expected the tree to spring back launching the aircraft back into the air, albeit temporarily.

I can see a use for them with emergency services. They could deliver a paramedic to places that a conventional helicopter could not reach and for sure land somewhere with too smaller space for a chopper to land. Being remotely piloted would mean that the paramedic would not need to know how to fly the thing, and it could be used to lift people out from difficult places one at a time. Perhaps a version that allows the person aboard to lie prone would be useful from a rescue perspective. It is early days but I see potential.

With the paid Spad.Next you can have one virtual FIP. Go to where you set up your FIP and detach the gauge then you can move it about on the screen. You need to buy an add-on for about £20 to do this with more than one. Have a look at: https://www.spadnext.com/discover/discover/virtual-fip.html You don't need to buy the "complete edition" to get this, it is available on its own. I think you can get it from the Addons menu in Spad.Next The gauges I use are available from: http://www.fipgauges.com/ I sold all of my Saitek panels to fund

HDMI works just fine. In the photo above: The RHS large monitor is connected to the No 2 pc via a DVI socket. The LHS 7 inch screen is connected to the No 2 pc via a Display port to VGA adaptor The centre 7 inch screen is connected to the No 2 pc via an HDMI to VGA adaptor. The LHS 7 inch screen is connected to the No 2 pc via a USB to VGA adaptor. All the above work fine on Windows 10, all hang off the same graphics card except the USB adaptor which Win10 found and worked without additional drivers. All the connectors are cheap and can be found on

Is anyone else using Spad.next? Having used my VR set for a while, I have come to realise that flying in VR, although amazing, isn't something that you want to do all of the time. Its immersive and fantastic in its perceived reality, and so I have set about building a rig that is good for both VR and the more traditional style of FS fun. Spad.Next is a development of the good old Spad alternative drivers for Saitek panels, but is Spad on steroids. It allows for so much more, so much so that support for the Saitek panels is only a backwater in terms of its capabilities.

Great PIREP there Jess, I am glad it wasn't too stressful in the end.

A belated happy birthday Brian. Do you get your bus pass at 60 in Scotland? Do they have busses in such remote places? I hope you had a great day. -
Sorry but quite correct I think. The steaming out of explosives from a German Bomb was not done after the fused were removed, the bomb would be safe then, but instead of removing the fuses. The Germans were very good at booby-trapping their bombs and came up with a fuse that couldn't be removed without setting off the bomb. these and time delayed fuses specifically targeted the Bomb Disposal teams. The answer to this problem was to take the explosives out of the bomb rather than the fuse, and as John says, this was done by drilling into the bomb and steaming out the main charge. This techniqu

Not sure but one in the last week or so I think. I will try to get more information on it when I get home.

I have found the issue with this. It was a windows update. I rolled back the windows update and then everything was fine.

Thanks Rosario, I have tried your suggestion but It didn't work. FSX is crashing before it is getting to the FSX.cfg file. I changed the FSX.cfg's name and tried to start FSX again. The same thing happens and no new FSX.cfg is created.

I have travelled on a train as packed as this in southern India, back in 1981. Indian trains have three classes. First class, second class and second class unreserved. The first two are obvious, you have to reserve a seat to travel in them. However second class unreserved is a nightmare. When you book a second class ticket and all the seats are taken they still sell you a ticket but tell you are on a waiting list. When the train pulls in you check the reservations posted by the door of each carriage and if your name isn't there then your place in the waiting list didn't make it t

Hi All. For some reason FSX has died on my PC. I click on the FSX icon, the little wait/processing circular thing appears for a couple of seconds and then nothing happens at all. I can only assume that FSX is crashing at start up. Are there any log files included in FSX that I can look at to see what is happening? J.
