Hey guys. This is not going to be everyones cup o' tea but its something i wanted to try. Maybe it will bring out a little creativity in those trying their hand at editing for the RAF screenshot contest. Oh and Joe, i might of entered the competition but at 6'3" and a 44" chest i don't think it will fit :eyebrow: I'd much rather let somone who will get use out of it, try to win it Its a very nice prize though  hehe. Thanks for looking, critics fire away!! steve

reef replied to mutley's topic in Screenshot Contests Archive
If you guys need a backdrop for your modern shots, UKMil just released RAF Waddington and Leuchars for FS9 complete with AI and look pretty good. Nice shots btw... steve -
Not sure how i missed this one but its a fantastic post. Well done steve

Nice shots especially the electric blue edit. Keep up the good work... steve

Thanks and yes it does look too harsh now that i think about it. I'll keep that in mind next time. Im thankfull for all these little inputs :tattle: Hopefully i can improve off them. Not a hard edit to do, just a case of thinking where shadow should be and putting it there, i look forward to you try at it steve

Thanks Joe and welcome back Yes i edited it in as an aircraft was taxiing in, but realized too late that i did it too close to the terminal :tattle: live and learn  steve

Thanks for the input, wheel is a little less flat now and as for the grass, i'll have a word with the gardener see if he can't get his flymo out. cheers... steve

No no sharp is no bad thing, i just mean its a very clear, crisp shot. No jaggies for example. steve

....or 2 shots of the Polish LOT airline 767. Thanks for looking and comments always welcome good or bad. steve

Stunning and soooo sharp, really nice work on these. The one thing that gives them a slightly unreal edge is they have no shadows, get them into future shots as it connects the aircraft to the ground otherwise looks a bit floaty. Fantastic!! steve

Leg 106: Frankfurt (EDDF) - Amsterdam (EHAM)
reef replied to allardjd's topic in Around The World Challenge (ATWC)
Hey John, Another great entry to the ATWC. Love the pre-flight info and some very nice shots in there. Good Job! steve -
Looking like an interesting shot so far. One thing that will make a big difference is matching the underside of the wing to other dark areas such as the engine and fuselage. Where they are in shadow is much darker than the wing. Doing this will add contrast between wing and sky and really add to the picture im sure. Keep it coming steve

Hey guys. Just a couple of screens showing Erfurt (freeware) which i found on the latest AES list supported for free. Aircraft is POSKY. The flight was a short buisiness class hop from Erfurt to frankfurt. Here running preflight checks. Shortly followed by clearance and rotate. Thanks for looking... steve

Leg 105: Prague (LKPR) - Frankfurt (EDDF)
reef replied to simi_av8r's topic in Around The World Challenge (ATWC)
Great shots and a wealth of information. Will the rest of the flight be posted sometime or is the next person to get on with it ? It's a shame the EE seems to be having so many stutters what with Partial flights, missing flights, and no shows being flown at short notice by others. Seems the others sections flew so smoothly and i really expected the EE to be the cherry on the cake. I know what its like when a PC decides not to work anymore for no apparent reason so hope you can get it all to rights simi. Thanks for posting... steve -
VA flying is not something i have ever wanted to try but congratulations anyway, i'm sure your quite happy about it Nice pics too! steve

Holding out for a new PC before i get seriously into FSX but FEX is certainly one i'll get. Still life in my old PC yet though, at least pushing FS9 anyway :mrhappy: Its been mighty quiet here lately, might have to get a full flight done soon. 7 day week is a kiler on my spare time tho steve

Great shots Joe and really like the first. The scenery looks really nice, is it UTX with FEX ? steve
