Any more news on MSE England please Dean?

Shhh Chris, the OrbX incompatibility squad will be hunting you down for admitting that!

The quote for me when I logged in at FlightSimStore.com was £12.67

Hi Paul, Autogen objects are stored in agn files, which must be placed in the right texture folder relating to their relative photoscenery tiles. The problem is, agn files cover a specific approximately 1.2 square km space each, with each tile having an individual file name, and you can only have one of them in use for any of the respective squares at any one time. So, the bad news is that you cannot run Treescapes AND other autogen independently at the same time. All is not lost however, if you head over and look at the following thread ... http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t

FTX EGHA Compton Abbas and GenX photoscenery
Kevin Firth replied to Christopher Low's topic in Scenery
Those are the only 2 I don't have yet Chris! Sorry -
Chris, I should think the answers to that will be yes and yes...but when you get it will you let me know please?
-
Thanks guys I haven't tried any payware a/c in P3D2 yet, only scenery... I've got GenX, UK2000, Shawbury fields and Isle of Man working great in P3D2. Will try the Twotter later this week

Chris, I haven't got EGML..if no one else has it you might just have to get jiggy with SBuilderX after all ..or badger George D to create some flattens with the software I think he he wrote to do the same for re UK2000 series of products

I would expect that as it is autogen and you can only have one active agn file for each 1.3km sq area that it will entirely replace any Treescapes autogen you already have. As to any difference in quality accuracy or coverage between the two I just dont know. It would theoretically be possible to merge the two (I've done it for OrbX products) but the sheer number of agn files to merge would make this such a large job that I very much doubt that RevX does it as a standard part of the install...

Product Review Aerosoft - Professional Flight Planner X
Kevin Firth replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Awesome review Brian thank you! If I ever get round to learning to fly my NGX properly I really should get PFPX k -
You never know what might happen with that. England and Wales is slightly delayed as we had the developer go back and fix some coastline issues first. Hopefully it is not too far off release now. Dean, can you please tell us whether megasceneryearth England will be ok to use in P3Dv2, given the statement that the GenerationX photoscenery series is NOT allowed to be used on that platform? Cheers k

Remember you are buying the licence to use software under certain circumstances.. My bet is there will be a small token cost to the new licence, but that it will be very small, or maybe zero even. It's not co-incidence that this announcement happens just as the servers open for download of P3Dv2, the cynical side of me suspects RSR knew this was going to happen quite a while ago and has been having a quiet giggle at all the fuss on the forums

Steph did you mean 200kbps? Chris I want to know who your provider is!!! I'm supposedly on a 30mbps cable connection but barely get up to 1mbps
-
Just buy it Steph, it's pretty good, and well worth it I think
-
I have a new 2Tb HD waiting for P3Dv2, no prizes for guessing where my Monday will go as well
-
Why, have you got a review copy? k

Ladies/Gents, I'd just like to take this quick opportunity to raise a glass (of orange juice) to Mutleys and you _all_, for the sense of community here, the liberal moderation, the sharing of information/old war stories and the warm touchy feely camaraderie that binds it all together We are a diverse bunch of people with a strong common bond and whatever our niggles or disagreements, there is more that we have in common than divides us If we have a quick pop at one another from time to time it's only because we care.... Hurrah! Thanks Joe for keeping the whole shebang on the rails.... K

BF, I think it's obvious now that even if it was meant in jest, the impersonal nature of forum communication and the lack of smileys in your post meant that it was absolutely capable of being misinterpreted as something altogether more sinister. From all our replies, it rather does look as though that has actually been the case, regardless of your initial intent, don't you think? Just an apology would do, for the offence apparently caused to us all, rather than squaring up and mounting your own ever so slightly higher horse. As I don't actually have a terribly large interest in equine relat

Bit below the belt that Nige... If you are paying for a commercial service you can say what you feel is necessary, if not I think it's a bit cheap. Perhaps you would care to donate a few ££ to the hangar if you feel it needs it? (Yes, I have, and I am in no position to retire to the south of France)

I think RSR is funny about his put downs, I'd pay money to hear him live . (can't say the same about certain others!)

I'm interested in seeing more of this, I dont think the screenshots give a good enough impression to make a solid judgement yet, but I am always sceptical of 'new technology' claims. This could be a great new step forwards for the UK, or it could be a damp squib...we'll see!?!

The blog hasn't necessarily ended, but I stopped playing around with Jersey because earth simulations have it in development and any version I came out with wouldn't be as good as theirs. Then I lost my job, became a father, found a new job and things kind of spiralled all out of control in such a way that I'm only just beginning to feel back in command of my own life a bit now! If there's some aspect of scenery design that hangar members wanted me to try to explain I'd be happy to consider reviving the blog it never seemed to get much traffic though apart from one time when Dom Mason ment

Great I found SBX was a bit of a b*tch to work with photoscenery wise at first Think it took me a few hours to figure out what ducks I needed to place in what order to get it to compile anything, so I salute your first foray into photoscenery

You can also use FS EarthTiles to produce great photoscenery..including using KML files created in Google earth. FSET can do blend masks and water masks all in one with a little tweaking..have you ever tried it? . I've found that I get a higher res image using FSET as well, or maybe that's just my impression?!
