Thanks Joe What is it they say... its not the destination, its how you got there. This PIREP I will remember as not only my first one, but a testament to the camaraderie, support and spirit of the Hangar.. [those of you who have helped me get this far know who you are] Ps. I now HATE Photob0x ! How long did it take me to paste all those pics ! Minx

I’d been out in Texas for a few days helping out a friend with some crop dusting so Kieran’s arrival with the baton was perfect timing… I was beginning to get a bit tired of the same set of corn fields.. Pecos has a colourful Army Air Force history being one of 5 major training fields which was set up after the Pearl Harbour attack I stopped into Alfredo’s Mexican for some takeaway vegetarian enchiladas before heading over to Pecos airport to meet Kieran. I’d been commissioned to fly an old Beech C-45 Expeditor to Waco (home of the legendary Dr Pepper drink), for a WW2 veterans reunion. M

Cosford 2015 Flightsim Show Report
hlminx replied to Christopher Low's topic in Members General & Announcements
I'm jealous Chris.. Being an avid fan of Peter Dowson, I'm gutted I didn't see him when I was at the show. That's one guy who's hand I would like to shake! Was a cracking show, definitely. Really enjoyed seeing Joe and the gang, and finally meeting Jess. Looks like I might be going solo myself next time.. not sure I can persuade the Huz and his parents to go around the museum for 4 hours again.. -

Hi Paul Welcome to mutleys! A little bit of twitching is common with contollers (I have one ultra sensitive throttle lever), but what you have is definitely excessive. I agree with all of John's recommendations, and would like to suggest a few others, but a couple of important questions first: 1. John asked if you are using a paid version of FSUIPC -definitely need to know if you are or not 2. Do you have any saitek software installed - did you use the discs that came with the hardware/download the drivers? If you do, do you have profiles set up 3. How many controllers do you have and wh -

Annual Alabeo 40% OFF Sale On Now Until 18th October
hlminx replied to PCAviator's topic in News and Press Releases
Some nice looking aircraft there. I've not tried Alabeo before but just noticed they have an AGTruck...always reminds me of Jay Prochnow's epic flight from Pago Pago to Norfolk Island where he became hopelessly lost in the Pacific and was guided to safety by a tenacious Air New Zealand crew. Might have to count my pennies out.. -
I noticed that puddle too..very clever of the developers to include them as it adds so much to the whole sense of realism. Thanks for sharing

Great video Ange(L) I can imagine sunbathing on that beach when those two flew overhead..jeez, that was low! Thanks for sharing

Sold FlightSim 2015 Cosford - Ticket For Sale
hlminx replied to Kevin Firth's topic in Classifieds - Flight Sim / Aviation / PC
Was great to meet you too! Looks like everyone had a fantastic day. The cake was ź as a stunning slice of decadence and deliciousness.. Thumbs up to Lynda for making a great bake. I cook most weeks so it will be nice to try something new. -
Cracking show this year! Luckily, the in-laws were being shown the splendours of the RAF Cosford museum, courtesy of my wonderful husband, while I got to get my Flight Sim fix for 4 hours.. worked out extremely well, I would say. Here are a few more photos of the day for those who didn't manage to make it.. Word to the wise about the first few.. no, you haven't been drinking [or have you?]..they are all taken in panoramic mode Got chatting to some guys at one of the stands which had an 'in progress' A320 project. It seems that Flight Sim is an emerging mark

Top day at Cosford. Great to see everyone. I'll post the photos when I get back home. @Jess - don't forget to pm me with the recipe for Needles' cake. That was so worth the calories! -
Cool Will be great to see you again! After all, it was your personal recommendation that prompted me to join the Hangar in the first place
-
Kevin, If you're looking to lighten your bookshelf, happy to help with that. Are you going to Cosford? If not PM me and I'll organise some dosh. Re Flying School, I bought it a few years back and its great for testing approaches. You can set it to random and practice approaching at any time of day, at any airport and with or without aids. Its not the same sort of challenge as the fsx missions as you still need to plan a route to be marked on it, but I like having someone next to me critiquing... I would give it a thumbs up, but I would say I dont use it that often. Its more of a piece of sof
