You can pick them up anywhere - the two main (for me) external vendors are Just Trains and Armstrong Powerhouse. Many choose to sell via DTG/Steam to access a larger market, but you can avoid it

Yep - buy most of my stuff from 3rd party - more complex software!

My own experience with Steam and DoveTail Games is via the Rail Simulator/RailWorks/Train Simulator series. If they are anything to go by, it'll be just like buying FSX again - pay once and don't pay again. Might make multiplayer easier via the Steam network As for FSX future, well, DTG are making a new game engine for Train Simulator (see here for more details) so that could be used for FSX. Don't forget that the current Train Simulator (TS2014) is a direct descendant from Microsoft's Train Simulator. What I fear is DTG-produced add-ons. They can be very hit-and-miss and as a result those

When I started out in flight sim, I got a few Abacus products and really enjoyed them (the A380 and 787 in particular). However, as I grew in experience and wanted to do more in the aircraft (such as procedures and checklists), I moved on to stuff like PMDG and iFly. They are a good solid starting point to build up to in my opinion. Now I wouldn't go back to them, but when you first start and you don't really know where to put aircraft models, textures, sounds, effects and panels or not confident to do so (CamSim 787 as an example), then yes, the Abacus stuff is fine. At the end of the day

Hi all, Apologies but I can't post Leg 60. Had it flown but forgot to upload the photos onto Photobucket before leaving on holiday, hence no pics. I would say either respond to this post or e-mail Mikael at the usual address to get the leg. Kieran

But with consequences. Many British and American aircrew were accused of being spies as 'only the Red Air Force bombed Germany'. Many were not released until 8-9 weeks after the end of the war -
